  1. @Zeroguy Remember @SoonHei? That guy jumped off a bridge. He claimed some spiritual justification about death not being real. Pretty serious stuff. I feel for Leo he's getting crucified. His sister is even blaming Jed a bit because he messaged him about it.
  2. This is a good lesson on getting too caught up in spiritual lingo, and not grounding techniques and concepts in reality. There really doesn't seem to be anything wrong with @SoonHei's logic around life and death, given the commonly understood concepts around death, infinite imagination, love etc. Can anyone here say with certainty that what he did was WRONG or BAD? But at the same time, at least for me, there is an intuitive sense that this guy was missing something crucial and behind his spiritual jargon there was a deep misunderstanding or immaturity. As much as we want to talk about blame and members taking more responsibility here, I think this is a very unique case. @SoonHei seemed to have good mental health and a reasonable mind. I don't see how this could have been prevented, and to blame Leo or Nahm seems very off.
  3. @Zeroguy Well I think I am a narc and I can't run away from myself haha. I'm not saying to keep her, I would never get in a relationship with someone with any thing close to a personality disorder.
  4. That all sounds great but in theory but in practice I never see anyone live up this kind of spiritual jargon. Can you shift into the parallel reality where you manifested 100 million dollars and send me a mere 5 million? Just shift into that vibration of consciousness. Infinite potentiality right?
  5. @Zeroguy Why not just have sympathy and understanding? But at the same time these kinds of people are dangerous and you have to protect yourself first and foremost
  6. @Anon212 Nice sounds like a good call. Take sometime and really evaluate what direction you want to take. You're young enough where there isn't a lot of pressure to get it right quickly. Don't commit to something that there's a strong chance you will regret At the same time if you do pursue a PhD program you can leverage it in unique ways, and you can certainly find a streamlined approach to course work where you can be far more efficient than your average PhD student.
  7. Frank Yang has sparked a non-dual war on the forum haha. Not sure who i'm going to declare for
  8. @Anon212 Have you considered how much debt you will accumulate and what your earning potential will be after finishing the program? Also because you're so young can you take a year off and then come back and re apply to PhD programs?
  9. @intotheblack I think a good default mindset is to avoid surgeries whenever necessary. But if it impacts your ability to get other procedures you do want then idk
  10. @Being Frank Yang What are thoughts on developing siddhis or super human abilities? How does that relate to enlightenment? Like why aren't you levitating and moving objects with your mind like the x-men haha
  11. @intotheblackOh sorry, yeah i got put to sleep. What's the term for that, I thought it was general anaesthesia lol. Oh yeah that sounds more intimidating. At the worst you can treat it like a hardcore meditation session or something. You get to experience something that really pushes your comfort zone. Can you get put to sleep?
  12. @intotheblack I had all my wisdom teeth removed, and I got put general anaesthesia too. I'd say make sure you have someone there with you to help you get home. The anaesthesia really messed me up and I had to get helped home. Also I don't think there is a lot to worry about with this procedure. I had 0 issues at least.
  13. @Being Frank Yang Wow what a quality post man. Hope you stick around the forum. In your view what is the most direct path to understanding your highest awakening?
  14. 10-15 chakras in each of the lower three chakras.
  15. I wonder if I'm more racist, homophobic etc than the average human
  16. Not sure what to write about. I find myself self censoring while thinking about what to type. Have a session tmrw with Forrest i'm hoping I gain some clarity on how to progress with my practice. I've felt the highs and lows of practice over these past few months. It definitely appears like my practice has grown a lot and my overall awareness is much higher and more grounded in simply being. But I'm still very unhappy and I have no direction in life outside of trying to meditate and heal my traumas. I wonder how long it will take to get a clear sense of direction in life and to really enjoy this experience.
  17. @Zeroguy Yeah thinking doesn't do anything. Idk I think I'm close to truly letting go and reaching the LSD states sober when I meditate, but it's consistent. One meditation session It feels like I'm a step away from bliss and experiencing my true self, but then a few days later I feel like I'm far away again
  18. @Zeroguy No I didn't do it yet. Yeah I still am very lazy and undisciplined this is something I've been thinking about recently. The thing is the answer to my problem is emotional release and clearing chakras. So part of me doesn't care about being lazy etc because I don't think it's necessary at this point. But I guess my meditations would be better if I were more disciplined. I am working on clearing and integrating my lower chakras, sexuality and safety and security I think. I am working with a teacher I'm going to talk to him about the role of discipline and stuff related to meditation.
  19. Haha okay I'll do it and report back
  20. Nice congrats. Your work is getting more noticed
  21. I don't see how that justifies the invasion. This is a weak pre-text.
  22. My main point is that there is a left wing bias that seems to overlook or downplay lots of realities that are prompting these kinds of Israeli responses. Not that I agree with stuff like settlements etc but there's an undertone of fuck Israel they deserve punishment/retaliation that i've been noticing a lot here. And in many cases it comes from people who have a religious, ethnic, etc issue with Israel
  23. @Eren Eeager They tried to wipe out Israel and lost land as a result of the invasions. How do you expect Israel to handle that? There were also Jews living their before the partition so it's not as clear cut that they simply stole the land from the natives
