I think she does offer some real value and she has at least one really good book that I have read (Shadows till dawn), but I do think that even though she has a lot of good info and abilities, she is some what caught in her own ego and the levels of the higher minds, like astral plane and all that jazz. It is fine though, we all do that (get caught in ego's dreams) and it is amazing that she has so big hopes for humanity and honestly wants to help people and I think she really does. She did help me along quite a lot in one point in my life so I thank her info for that.

If everyone who smoked weed everyday in their life would have instead of smoking weed, meditated for 30min - 1 hour (or how long ever it takes to come off), they would be in completely different place in their life. It is not that smoking weed is that bad, but it is the things that you do not do because of it that makes it dangerous. There are many people talking about the "benefits" of weed but it depends completely on what you want out of your life. Most people smoking weed do not use it to cure cancer, but to escape their feelings, their problems and their life. If everytime instead of smoking weed, they would have done a one small thing to make their life better instead of smoking weed, their life would be very different, especially if smoking weed has lasted for many years. That is a very tough pill to swallow and it makes ego crazy, but there is no way around it. This "harmless" substance does affect lives and how the lives are lived. It is tough to realize something like this personally, BUT the realization is also a way to a better life and better choices and happier life in general.

Your childhood has many similar elements as mine. I feel as well that self-development and spirituality has "saved" me but I am also in quite a similar place in my life, I also have a degree in Bsc in Psychology but where I live one need's to have a Masters' Degree to be a psychologist, so I am a bit stuck as well. I am studying to try to get into a university to do Masters but we will see how it goes Well, that turned out to be a bit of a story about my life, but I guess what I am trying to say that there are many people in a similar spot and I guess it is just a part of life to sometimes experience times where you think nothing is happening and it is not going as fast or as great or as amazing as one would hope. Still one day when we both look behind our lives, I am sure we can be proud of the time we used to educate ourselves and do work with ourselves. I am sure it will lead into amazing things for both of us. Good luck. <3

All emotions pass. You just need to be present to them, see them and just allow them to be. Realize that you are not your emotions and that emotions just come and go through you. -

I really want to recommend to all coffee-addicts to try Dandyblend! It is a instant coffee -type of herbal blend that tastes VERY much like coffee. I used to love coffee but I switched to this and I love it. It has many health benefits and it had zero caffeine, so it is much better for you. Try it out! It is not even that expensive.

When I talk about raw diet, I expect it to be vegan. But I am not sure about others of course.

Zasa, I think Ayla already pointed you to the right direction, but I just wanted to write you a little piece of encouragement and say that to me you seem like a very intellectual human being (especially for your age) and I am sure you will get out of this place you are in right now and you will do some amazing things in this world. To be of that age and already be in a forum like this - whoah. You will go so far if you are already here. All of us go through some very difficult emotions to be on this spiritual path of self-discovery. It is something that we all need to face and you are facing all those feelings now. It will pass and it will go away. Maybe not instantly but it will. Good luck. <3

It depends on if you believe that thoughts come from this body. If you believe that thoughts come from brains, then I guess you would assume that no thoughts are left when this body dies. However, if you believe that thoughts come from somewhere else, it would be logical to say that thoughts stay even if the body dies. -
I would never advice anyone to just take any mentor, cause you will know when you gain value from someone, you are intrigued by them. Even if they are "bad mentors" you will learn from them what you need: sensitivity and definition. My point is that you don't need to worry so much about your evolution or growth. If you want to grow, you will find ways to grow and if you want a mentor, you will find one or many - at some point you might have too many to choose from!

Unfortunately I have no suggestions, since I feel like I am predominantly Yellow (a little bit of green and little bit of turquoise). I tried Tinder few days ago and it just left me depressed. I was in a relationship for almost 3 years with someone predominantly Green(and Blue and Orange)and it was very difficult for me. I was not as dominantly Yellow then as I am now but it was still very difficult. So I am not going that road again. It might be that I will not date again. I am fine with that as well.

As many people on this thread, I too think that having a mentor is very wise. Not having a mentor is like wandering in woods all by yourself without a map and then someone coming a long and offering you a map, then refusing to use it cause "I wanna do it on my own". Of course you CAN, but it will be so much more painful and takes so much longer. We all end up in the same place anyway, so why not take a short cut (if and when you can) and actually enjoy the ride - at least a little bit more. Gurus and teachers have played a huge role in my development and even though I know they are just a projection of my mind in a sense, it does not mean I cannot benefit from them. To me it has been very important to stay very open-minded and use many teachers with many perspectives. I know not a lot of people will enjoy that way, but I do. I think it is important not to get hooked on any one teacher and realize that as you progress, so do your teachers. It is such a wonderful journey And for finding them: They find you. So do not worry.

This is exactly the awareness that many come to. -
Marina, bloating connected with veggies is usually a sign that bowels are quite in a bad shape. Not enough good bacteria and a lot of junk stuck. Literally the bowel can not move the faster digesting things (like vegetables) onward since your bowel still holds othet material before it. I know it is a bit yucky Many people are in the same position and quit eating vegetables due to those experiences but it is not that vegetables cause problems but all the other stuff eaten before them.

All opinions essentially are judgements. I think it is most crucial to just realize when your mind is judging and just become aware of it and be mindful of it. Judging is a normal feature of the mind - you can just affect the part of you which you use to relate to the world: either through the mind or through larger awareness. All of this requires a lot of tolerance and patience of yourself. But it is very rewarding as well.

I am currently thinking about this. My personal experience is that meditation helps a lot and it can fast forward you on your way to realization. However I do have a feeling that there is something more I need to realize connected to meditation. Some part of me says that one should not need meditation (or anything) to connect. I think at some point one needs to let go of all tools, but for most people and for me as well, that time is not yet. I still want to go deeper into the subject and I feel like there is so much more to it. -
Darling, your problem is not if you should try to get him back or not, but how you are going to deal with your own emotions and your own self. Getting back together you would eventually have the same problems as you did before, if you have not done some serious self-developmental work before that. Before you get into a new relationship and if you really want it to work and last longer than a year, you really need to work on yourself. There is no easy way about it. Most people feel like their ex was the one for them. It is not an uncommon thought. It does not mean it is true though or that thought means anything. It just means that you were in a relationship with someone and your ego got attached to them and now your mind produces thoughts that match your ego's attachment. It does not mean that you should get back together with them. It is very uncommon that people who used to be together and had a difficult relationship, get back together and turn it around completely. I am not saying it does not happen, but it does mean that these people need to do a lot of work with themselves and grow as people and it might mean that they try relationship again in 10 or 20 years from their first relationship. This is adequate time to truly change as human beings and grow so much that the likelihood of repeating the old relationship paradigms has vanished.

As a psychological and personal developmental perspective, masturbating to escape one's experiences and daily life and to control one's emotions is actually very limiting and toxic, because it delays growth (as does anything that is done to escape the present emotion, situation or moment in general). That is why it can become as addictive as anything that causes pleasurable physical sensations, just like food, drugs, sex in general, shopping etc. Excessive need to have sex in a relationship most definitely has an underlying cause behind it as well. Masturbating in itself is not bad (as is not shopping, food etc.) but it is how we are using it. It is so good that many men (and women) here are questioning these paradigms and wanting to live a life where they feel more at ease with themselves.

Friends or people around you that are connected to lower states of consciousness will affect your mind. However, you have to be aware that they also reflect to you a part of your own mind that you need to be accepting of. However, it does not mean that you don't benefit from gradually finding better friends that uplift you. I personally think that people should always surround themselves with people that they admire, cause as humans, we are socially animals and we will always pick up energies, tendencies and opinions from people around us. To think that anyone can be so above that it would not affect us, is just unwise in my opinion. You can be with anyone, but be aware that it does affect you and you are the one who needs to clean up the mess they leave behind them...

Can you tell a little bit more about your situation? What kinds of foods do you overeat and in which situations?

It usually is a part of it. It is very important to recognize it and see that in ego. Then you can see through it and be free of it. -
I used to be INFJ for years and now it seems like I am ENTP. Interesting. It did fit me though. I think I could possibly be INTP as well, cause I am not THAT social, but I am something in-between.

George Lucas is extremely interested in Spirituality and the nature of our world. He has studied many religions and myths and his teacher was the very famous philosopher Joseph Campbell. He has said that he deliberately made Star Wars to bring myths and deeper truths to younger generation from religions to guide them and make them feel connected to something greater.

Yes, you have to address your diet habits. If you cannot eat a lot of fruits and vegetables, you can definitely do well with just potatoes, rice and beans. I definitely recommend watching a documentary Forks and Knives that addresses many food intake related issues but also the idea that fast food is cheaper than whole foods, when actually it isn't. It is a marketing tactic. Eating a burger or fried food with a lot of animal fats is far worse than living off potatoes and fast food is actually more expensive. Your situation needs a lot of action and willingness to change from your part but if you commit to it, you can generate massive changes in your life. Just by changing your diet and exercise routine, you will be amazed where you can go just within 6 months to a year. There are many tools that can help you. This forum gives you some ideas and completely for free. Improving your life does not need to be costly money-wise, but it does trying a lot of new things, which is not always easy - but change never is.
