  1. Well some teachers seem to think that indeed there is no such thing as "karma" and that it is meaningless. Some say that the only "karma" you can have of your actions, is living in a mind that would choose something that is bad for others - that in itself is the "karma" of the chosen "negative" action.
  2. "In order to find what you are looking for, you need to stop searching." I thought it was very funny to start a conversation about this on this self-actualization forum. I would like to hear your thoughts about this idea that you cannot do anything to wake up or nothing you do actually contributes anything to your true Awareness. Please tell me what this idea wakes up in you. Emotions, thoughts, feelings, beliefs.
  3. I don't think Leo has ever said he thinks he is Enlightened. I think he has said he has had revelations and insights and enlightenment experiences, but I don't think he has claimed to be enlightened.
  4. I think this is just so simple. You have no Free Will because everything you are is based on what you have learned and you cannot choose beyond your own thoughts and experiences. That is why you don't have a free will. You have a very limited selection of choices in each choice scenario in your life, because it is all based on who you think you are, what you think you have lived, what you think is a good life, what you believe is possible for you etc. Even if you would change the thoughts of how you view yourself as and what you think is possible for you, you are still again bound by your thoughts. So you can never truly "choose" from a completely clear plate. And the more you Awaken, the more you realize the how little you ever had any sorts of "free will" and the more you realize your true nature, You Do Not Even Want a Free Will.
  5. I have no idea if this works but I would not suggest it.
  6. You can be enlightened and do what ever you want, but I would still think that any enlightened person would warmly laugh at wanting to be successful or thriving for things in this world. Many enlightened people end up doing great programs for others and they have talks and seminars, they might travel a lot but I don't think anyone of them if power, success or fame hungry. They enjoy life and all things that come to them but they do not go and try to seek anything. I don't personally really resonate with all these ideas of how to be successful in relationships or business or life or whatnot. I think it is trying to do it all by yourself and effort so much. You don't need that much effort and trying for anything in my opinion. Most things that I have done in my life that have yielded beautiful results have been completely effortless and so much fun. Someone looking at my things might have said if looks like I worked a lot for it, and I kind of did, but it was so natural, so interesting, so appealing that I wanted to know more. I did not have to effort myself into trying a new thing or push myself towards some kind of a goal. It happened because something inside of me just moved me to that direction. So simple, so easy, so effortless. So fun.
  7. Has you real, tangible life gotten better after the use of these drugs?
  8. Me too! I am from Oulu in Finland
  9. I think the difference between some teachers is that they might believe that waking up itself is a choice. But it might not be. Since everything is of one source and then everyone will come to the same conclusion anyway and maybe at a determined point or even a determined way. I think that teachers like Matt Kahn do not believe that heart-centered teachers believe that a certain program or certain way of being leads to enlightenment - it is more like the enlightenment is given, but the road can be easy or hard. Also, to your interest, many people believe that Adyashanti is actually the same person behind McKenna...Many people say that they have so similar teachings that they must be the same person. So it is funny that you put them kind of on opposite sides of the coin so to speak.
  10. If you want to grow as a person and if you are healthy, go on a water fast for something like 3-7 days. You will very quickly come to realize how you numb yourself with food.
  11. I will just clarify that my question is not to be taken as being obnoxious, but really, I ask this question with sincerity. How do we know WHAT caused someone to get enlightened? If we look at all the people who got enlightened, we could probably draw many conclusions about their actions and say that this and that caused their enlightenment. We could say that they all meditated, we could say that they all ate, we could say that they all used the restroom and that we could say that they all had relationships etc. How can we say that the meditation was the thing that enlightened them? Maybe it was just something they did. The mind loves to draw conclusions about things and find "logical" solutions to things and say that this causes this. But in some traditions, this is seen only as a feature of the mind and not the Truth of everything. Kind of like energies and particles flowing in space and the mind desperately trying to draw conclusions on how this particle got here by the force of this and this energy. For the mind it is very hard to just let things be. This is very evident in psychology with ink tests etc. The mind automatically starts to find patterns, shapes and starts to think who thought what when they made this piece of paper and what these people might think of me etc. If a person is shown a picture, the person's mind is instantly starting to come up with stories connected to that picture. Mind just cannot let it be and observe what is. It is constantly drawing A to B. I think it is very important to understand this if we are wanting to understand the nature of the reality in truth. We need to be very aware of the limitations of the mind that we are trying to understand the world around us with. Due to the limitations of the mind, we draw conclusions that do not reflect the reality of Truth but the reality of our mind. Therefor I think it is very valid to ask, if we can know for sure that Buddha got enlightened BECAUSE of meditation.
  12. I don't think he was enlightened. I looked up some of his lyrics and I don't see him being enlightened. He must have inspired many many people and he must have been a great example to many, but I don't think he was spiritually enlightened.
  13. My ultimate deep wish is to know and be (with) God. Personal ego wishes: 1. Have a thriving healthy body (includes very well working kidneys) 2. Have a thriving business which combines therapy and nutritional and osteopathic services for tens of thousands of people in my country 3. Have enough money so I could travel a bit and feed myself, my family and my pets really good quality healthy food and live in a beautiful space 4. Be a spiritual-psychology-self-help book author and a business woman and go around the country talking about how to apply deep spiritual truths into everyday life and inspire people to live in connection with God
  14. But you cannot know the benefits personally if you have never tried. Many people are shocked how different they feel after going vegan from vegetarian diets. There is no way to tell anyone what benefits they will experience, because everyone has a different vegetarian diet to start with. However, research does show that when comparing vegetarians and vegans, vegans beat vegetarians in all cancer studies on being the healthiest and having less likely to have breast, prostate and many other cancers. I always recommend people trying to be vegan for week or two and see if they feel better. Most people do (if they eat highly varied mostly vegetables diet with moderate amount of fat and no processed food).
  15. It depends what type of company you are looking for. I have tried Tinder twice, once for revenge and fun and once for "real". At least for me it is very easy to tell from the picture the energy of the person and what type of consciousness they have. That is why Tinder was quite fun but depressing for me at the same time. I used to treat it as a fun game, but when I remembered I am supposed to look for a date, I got quickly depressed. But my point is that your energy will penetrate on the pictures anyway,it does not matter THAT much if you have a nice profile picture or if you have a puppy or nice car with you.
  16. She definitely does not have a free will. ;D Which is EXACTLY my point!
  17. So basically if you don't get what you want, you will be crushed. What happens to you then?
  18. I love Teal as well, but I don't consider her enlightened (as I stated in some other topic as well). She is very interesting personality and she has a lot of good things to say. She has great helpful insights into human psychology and spirituality and combining the psychological work with spiritual etc. I like that. However radical it may seem, it is even MORE radical that it does not matter if there are aliens or other dimensions as well because it is all a Thought, A Dream and it is all just another layer of the dream. Of course in a dream state there is multiple levels and you can dive as deep as you like in the dream world horizontally, vertically and all possible levels in whatever shape and form you like and gather endless amounts of interesting information and crazy things, however, it is ALL JUST A THOUGHT, a dream within a dream within a dream. So this is why I don't consider Teal to be ultimate teacher, but I do consider her to be great light within the dream.
  19. Enlightened people might even have more survival instincts cause they do not have a loud ego complaining all the time in their head. (Or they might have but they dont live through it)
  20. I like Kundalini Yoga with Spirit Voyage or Shivie Cook. Try it. I fell in love after I did 15 minutes every morning for a week. Aah.
  21. It is very inportant to stay flexible. Ego loves to attach to things (even things like meditation etc.). It is very possible to go through many paths within one path and that might actually be the fastest cause that way ego stays flexible. It is very healthy to constantly stay open and innocent as a child. Many teachers know a lot and share so much but they still are unable to move beyond because they are so attached to what 'they' have learned.
  22. It is very good that you are confused There is a reason for it.
  23. Does a cat have a free will? What makes it different from a human?
