@Preety_India I have some good news though. Those men, who don't respect women, will be scared shitless of an empowered woman! If you empower yourself, they won't go near you with a 10-foot pole. They'll go seek out someone they can control. What women can do about this is personally empower themselves and find their inherent autonomy. The more that happens, the more collective change will be effected, the more pressure will be put on men to follow suit. The power is in your hands! -

This is cuz of their level of development, like they've moved past Blue into Orange/Green. The Bible is pretty archaic towards women! -

This issue will fundamentally be a part of any religion. Does Christianity treat women better? I don't think so. It has dogmas like 'Women belong in the kitchen' or 'Women should be modest' or 'Women shouldn't be sluts' or 'Abortion is a sin' or my personal favorite 'Women should be nice all the time and never get angry'. Feel free to explore it though! If you get any value from western culture, I think it'll be due to their level of development and evolution. -

There's a lot of fear and stigma stopping victims from speaking up. Once they do speak up though, everyone's on their side! They do see rape/harassment as bad. Also, the society here places a lot of value on justice/giving criminals due sentencing. The media here is very progressive and supportive of victims speaking up. It's not all roses for victims, like there will be victim-blaming, stigmas to face, threats from perpetrators, etc. But the only way out is to break the slience. -

If it's debatable whether it's harassment or not, then people generally won't speak up. They'll wait for the woman to explicate that it really was harassment before taking action. If they don't do that, they'd be creating an unnecessary conflict with an innocent man! If it clearly is harassment though (confirmed by victim), then if it's a public place, everyone will start beating the shit out of the perceived perpetrator! Which brings me to this point : If a woman yells 'rapist' in a public place, that guy is dead! This is one of the big reasons why there's such resistance to feminism here. Not only will they perceive him to be doing the right thing, they'll join in and crack down on the perceived perpetrator. It'll be jointly perceived as 'standing up against a bad criminal'. -

@Annoynymous I'll tell you what I think the mentality is : Guy sees girl who isn't 'respectable' by the patriarchial standards he's programmed with. Part of him internally degrades her for not being respectable, and part of him starts thinking about punishing her for being that way, i.e. not helping him control his sexual urges by being a 'slut'. This creates a sick cycle of getting off on 'punishing women'. I'm making my best effort to look at the dynamic without judgement! The patriarchy shames women for being overtly sexual. The reason for this is well-known to conscious people - if sex ran free, before birth-control was invented, this meant pregnancy risks and too many kids to take care of. It's designed to control all parties involved into raising kids as effectively as possible! My point is that as dysfunctional as it is, it's well-intentioned. The more we reduce the need for these control-mechanisms collectively by more education on sex, birth-control, more sexual autonomy, more economic development, etc. the more we'll be able to let go of the need for this major collective institution, the more we'll be able to resolve this! -

Oh yeah! Being a rape victim is a huge social stigma. There's a lot of incentive for victims to not report it. Victim-blaming is a serious thing here socially. I was in one of the top engineering colleges here. There were separate boys halls and girls halls (which itself is fucking archaic). What drove me nuts was that the girls had to be back in their halls by 12:30 pm! This was 'for their safety'. Sex between students wasn't allowed. -

Oh no! Molestation/Rape is a serious crime. If a guy sees a gang of other guys molesting/assaulting a woman the gang will run! They won't want to get in trouble with the police. At least that's what I'd expect would happen in such a situation. Rape is (or once was) punishable by death. The problem here is the culture, which is heavily patriarchial. It's Stage Blue, where nobody has sexual autonomy (especially women). Even for men, being a 'player' is considered a bad thing. Being a 'slut' for women is not considered worthy of respect and that can attract dangerous men, i.e. men who won't respect her. My hope is that once we enter Stage Orange, more emphasis will come on individuality and autonomy and we'll leave this shit behind. -

There's only one solution to this issue : The people own their sexuality. For this, massive collective cultural shifts need to happen. My hope is this will happen in future generations, like 300-400 years. Until then, if you want a safer society, moving out of India is the only way. People here have relatively static worldviews and one-dimensional ways of thinking. As far as feminist campaigning goes, blood will be spilt over every feminist move. I'm a guy and I don't feel safe here myself. I can imagine it's terrifying from women's perspective. As far as I can see, the best way to be safe here is to wear clothes that fit the traditional image of a 'respectable woman' as much as you can by wearing salwar kameez, etc. (If jeans & t-shirt are considered respectable nowadays, go for it) From a safety perspective, you want to come across as respectable as possible. I know this sounds like I'm not holding men accountable here, they are. Also, don't mistake this for patriarchial moralization. This conversation is about present-day everyday safety as opposed to a feminist vision for women's safety. Unfortunately, people are respected conditionally in this society. Basic human dignity/privacy/autonomy is not a given here. #SDStageBlue. The reason I'm so resigned to the current situation is that most of India doesn't want progress on this. We're in high Blue-low Orange now and all eyes are set on economic growth. It'll take a few centuries before people become interested in taking action on this situation. -

I've actually started to develop an acquired taste for Trump's antics in a 'he's so bad he's actually good' kinda way. The guy is a living meme!! -

Awww man!!! Come onn!!! I was having some fun being the old gypsy lady giving people an ominous prophecy!! On the same page. In all seriousness though, if I were an American, I'd vote for a Dem. -

Sometimes, the progress we want can't be sustained by the current way things are, the way the current system works. Sometimes, we want a different system altogether. What we're really asking for is a rebirth of the system. In such a situation, the candidate who helps the progressive cause is the one because of whom the system will collapse! It's the most counter-intuitive thing ever!! -

Sometimes when I see the media covering Coronavirus, I feel like they've run out of ways to scare the masses, and now the best way they have is to create a hyped scare of coronavirus!! I mean wtf is the hype about?!?! Let the researchers do their job and just go on with your life!! This was my honest reaction. Not a well thought-out point-by-point lined thesis statement! -
If 'your game' is manipulating women to get them into bed, then yeah it will get affected badly. However if its about finding yourself as an individual and authentically connecting with people, then it'll enhance your game!

How is this a loop? As far as I can see, I'm talking about integrating un-integrated Stage Red and raising consciousness conclusively that way. If it comes across that way, I don't mean it to. -
So most of our society has been created by Stage Blue, as a reaction to Stage Red. The way it's been created is to maintain an orderly, civil way of collective survival. Stage Red can express itself authentically, but in an unconscious manner. This results in a lot of chaos and anarchy, which Blue then reacts against. Authenticity is a negative term in Blue's eyes as it reminds Blue of what happens in a Red society. Blue creates a society with fixed roles, fixed laws, fixed ethics, fixed codes of conduct, clear definitions of good and bad, clear definitions of good/bad manners and etiquettes, etc. The roles are uni-dimensional and materialistic in nature cuz all stages below Green are materialistic. This kills the individual and it does not allow the authentic expression of the individual. A Blue society is created on the foundation of a Red society. It just so turns out that the way Blue deals with the issues of a Red society can create a lot of suffering. Un-integrated Stage Red can lead to loss of self in the institutions and the pressure of social expectations. Stage Orange does not cut it here, cuz it's built on top of Blue! Orange works in a Blue society and tries to game this system for success. What's really needed here is an integration of Stage Red! This leads us to understand that Blue isn't 'the way society is' and it is built on top of Red. The foundation of Red can really help us to either undermine the structures of Blue, or make big and drastic changes in it, or create entirely new and conscious structures in its place! One of the issues with unconscious Blue is that it makes a big enemy of Red. In fact, it can project the dysfunctional aspects of Red onto Orange and use that as a reason to resist Orange as well! This is why Blue is resistant to materialism/hedonism (Red and Orange), savagery, grandiose narcissism, emotions (Blue assumes that emotions lead to impulsivity), guiltlessness/shamelessness, sexual autonomy (Red and Orange), sexuality in general, etc. Consciously integrated Stage Red will not have any of the dysfunctional aspects of Red. Any insights/questions/comments/suggestions? I'm curious to see what yall have to say about this.

More examples of Stage Red : The character 'Ugly' in the movie 'The Good, The Bad and the Ugly' The Joker in 'The Dark Knight'. Dialogues : 'I don't make plans. I just DO stuff. I take everyone's plans and turn them on their heads for fun!' (Impulsive egocentrism as opposed to Stage Orange's ability to be goal-oriented and strategic) -

This is in Hindi but this is such an amazing example of Stage Red!! It's a crime show episode which shows white-collar crime and rapacious con-artistry. Also shows how Red can exploit the compassion of Green. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOSnxGrqROM How Stage Red thinks : 'If I steal $100 from you, that's $100 more in my pocket. Therefore it's not wrong!! The law don't apply to me cuz I don't follow it.' -
What do spiritual people mean when they say 'You should choose your life purpose over having good relationships'?

There are no objective measures for this. It's literally just felt-based and intuitive. It's not applicable in a formal sense that we can prove to people who's perspective is the most objective one. You don't know how conscious someone is and you can't raise someone else's consciousness. What you can do though is raise your own individual consciousness. You can become conscious of everyone's perspectives yourself, like who's in the game, what for exactly and why is everyone invested in it. If you're doing this right, someone who isn't projecting on you will feel validated by your actions. That's ultimately what matters, cuz the people projecting on you aren't in reality, and therefore they can be consciously manipulated into getting what you want! The fact that they're getting manipulated is on them cuz they're not in reality. That's the only thing to do with them! You can become lesser identified with the ego perspective and as a result find the path of least resistance for all parties involved. For more information, watch Leo's video on Collective Ego. -
Parththakkar12 replied to Ibn Sina's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
It's not a highly conscious men's perspective! It's the perspective of the Infinite which includes that of my ego and their egos. Therefore it's not preferential towards a particular perspective as it sees that all of them are your perspectives. This is different from consensus-based conceptualization, as there all perspectives would get equal weight, however unconscious they may be. Rather, I value taking the biggest-picture perspective based on direct experience of emotional dynamics. Now of course due process would be needed for action based on equal representation on committee so that's a completely different and specific situation. This is more of a meta perspective on the whole attitude towards the movement. -

If you're able to expand your Self-Love, you can take the perspective of women as part of your own. In that case, male bias won't be an issue! Now most men aren't capable of this, but are you capable of it given your level of consciousness? Your perception will then include the perception of everyone involved! Your perception of what's good or bad for the movement will become clearer. Everything I say comes after taking the movement as part of myself and from a space of concern for the movement. -

Someone who's not on your side actually can't see your dysfunctions! They're resisting you, so they're not aware of you, so they can't see your dysfunctions. So I wouldn't worry about people for the status-quo trying to gaslight progressives into believing their versions of 'dysfunctions' or 'resolutions to dysfunctions'. The fact that you have dysfunctions doesn't mean in any way that you shouldn't have power or successful change! That's a gaslight status-quo people could use. If someone points out my dysfunctions, I don't believe them if I don't see them. I'm open to them, but that's different from blindly believing them. However, if you do really see the dysfunctions, would resolving them help the movement or hurt it according to you? I'm talking about major core and fundamental dysfunctions, like being hateful and resentful towards men and acting out on it so as to close off support from men who would otherwise be all for gender equality. Like teaching boys that being a male is bad cuz they're oppressive by nature. Feminists will say that 'We've been through this for centuries!! We have our revenge now' All of this is understandable. Whether or not these are dysfunctions is context-dependent.
