Currently, our modern society is not at all conducive to human health. There are very deep reasons for this. Throughout history, there has never been a point in time where human beings consciously chose the kind of society they want to live in. Society has unconsciously evolved because of the cruel, ruthless, vicious actions of those in power. We aren't taught these things because our society cares about collective survival first and foremost. It will indoctrinate kids such that they fit into the existing framework. The whole point is to preserve the status-quo and maintain homeostasis. We could have a society that gives its citizens a high-quality life. This isn't possible in a society that has been created by someone else for you - You will have to create your own society for this. This has never happened in history before. For the first time ever, conscious people must band together and consciously create a society that is genuinely conducive to human growth and high-quality living that prioritizes expansion. This is where evolution is headed. Every individual must take part in this process of consciously creating society. For this to happen, people must break out of their narcissistic bubble and actually take ownership of society in general. This current society enables the survival of unconscious, narcissistic devils as a survival mechanism. Evolution will ultimately wipe out the narcissists and only socially empowered, socially responsible people will survive this collapse that's currently happening. -

A chimp/devil part of me wants the fence to come down. It'll be fun to see what happens if it does! -

It's really interesting to see protesters using umbrellas as shields lol -
Parththakkar12 replied to Forestluv's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
Who put the fence up to protect the protestors from the Feds? Also, if the fence is protecting them, why are the protestors breaking it down? -

Hail the Great Emperor Donald Trump! He's going out there and conquering Chy-na!! (I'm sure this is what Trump thinks about this lol) He's wielding his power exactly like a Stage Red tyrant/dictator would. -

It's interesting to see Democrats fully believe that Trump has been an utter disaster, that he will lose by a landslide cuz we all know how bad his presidency has been. Of course Trump, being the idiot/buffoon that he is, doesn't disappoint. It's also interesting to see Republicans be confident af that Trump will win, that Democrats have nothing against him, that Trump is all that and more. They think Joe Biden isn't fit to run for Presidency, or be President. I've heard some conservatives say 'Do I like Trump? No. But given the direction the Left is going, I would never want to vote for them. I'm kinda okay with Trump's presidency.' Republicans who hold this view ignore all of his stupidity. They say 'I don't want Biden. If something happens to Biden before the election and if someone like Hillary Clinton replaces him, I definitely don't want her. I'd prefer Trump to them.' Here's how a right-winger sees the Left in 2020: BLM was an epic disaster. Trump was right to not support the protesters. In fact, Trump should have deployed armed forces quicker than he did. Cancel culture is a problem created by the Left CHAZ was laughable Libertarians who don't fully believe in COVID like that he doesn't wear a mask. They also like that he cut WHO funding. They feel threatened on the issue of gun rights. Especially in the face of BLM riots. There's dynamics going on beneath the surface that are important to look at. Have the progressives been good enough at solving these problems? It's always a tug of war where progressives want to create some change, and conservatives ask them the tough questions on the practical aspects and implementability of those changes. -

@Don Wei I really liked hippies in US. They're at Green and above. There are some actualized spiritual people who are at Tier 2. -
Here's my take on why Collective Egos are ideological and why they cling to their ideology so much : The group the ideology represents gives them a sense of belonging, a sense of community. We feel the urge to find some group to fit into because we have an unmet emotional need for belonging. Lets say we have an ideological group, say a religion. Now lets say a scientifically-minded/atheistically-minded person comes into the room and starts dismantling and tearing apart the religious ideology. How will the people respond? Will they say 'Oh man! I'd never considered that! Thank you so much for opening our eyes to new ways of thinking about our religious texts.' No. They will be judgemental as hell, deny all the blindspots of their religion, rationalize the shit out of the challenger's claims and do everything in their power to push the challenger out of the room, mentally and physically. The religious ideology gives them a sense of belonging which is why they will collectively turn a blind eye to obvious blindspots/contradictions/ambiguities of their ideology. The problem with this situation is that this is a very mechanical collective survival mechanism which tries to meet their needs for belonging, but fails. The ideology is only able to serve as a crutch because we don't have a better strategy to belong with a group at this time in history. My take on how this can be resolved : People work on mastering their emotions. This can help them gain consciousness of this fundamental survival mechanism of collective egos. This can also help them feel more empowered relative to their need for belonging, as a result of which the strategy won't be so mechanical anymore. This may seem like a very tall order, but I think SD Stage Green and above is capable of doing this. This won't get rid of ideology entirely as that's one of the fundamental mechanisms of our mind, but collectively we won't be so attached to ideology anymore. This may be 500 years into the future though, but we gotta start somewhere! If we're able to pull this off, it'll become much easier to be a socially responsible citizen and there won't be so much confusion on what to believe. Thoughts?

We can roughly categorize countries on the Spiral. There are no Turquoise countries in today's time. In fact, there are no fully Turquoise institutions/organizations/collectives! You can only find Turquoise individuals in a collective that's at a lower stage. The center of gravity of say America is Orange, same goes for most first-world countries. There is a lot of Green in them though. Similarly, the center of gravity of South-east Asia is Blue. There is a fair bit of Orange there as well. -

Psychopaths are physically unable to prioritize acting according to a moral ideology over reacting to their emotions. This is what keeps them from moving up from Red to Blue. It would take some emotional mastery for a Stage Red person to actually be able to be a good person without having to rely on a morality, i.e. they would have to awaken to the Truth of Oneness. -

From a natural perspective, everything is fair. You can do whatever you want. From a non-dual perspective, everything is Consciousness. So the question of 'When does the embryo become conscious/living' becomes irrelevant. -

Yupp! Until we really start to introduce meditation and question the materialist paradigm, it's gonna be predominantly Orange. -

I agree with you on the fact that school does not care about its students. We have to understand who the school is catering to, i.e. who the consumers of school really are. It's not students. It's parents. Parents want an obedient child who obeys them and 'does all the right things'. Parents then hand their kids over to a school system which teaches them exactly that through reward and punishment. So, in order to have a conscious schooling system, we first need conscious parenting. Which is it's own can of worms. -

Here's the thing about progress - it's chosen. When people really resist progress with all their might, some magic will have to happen! Things will have to get really ugly collectively before people realize that this isn't working anymore. If people don't pay attention to the systemic failures, there is only one way forward. That is for the systems to fail and the rug getting pulled from under our feet. We don't choose for this to happen. Evolution will happen, whether we get on board with it or not. If we don't, well..... things can get ugly. -

I feel you. There's a few ugly realities of our society - one being that the fundamental basis of it is Blue. The whole notion of society is constructed at Blue. Things like property rights, rights in general, systems with specific roles, bureaucracy, civilization, family, routine, order, etc. I wonder what a society that would be based on a higher stage would look like. Here's a few points on that: We'd want to channel the next collectivist Stage, aka Green to do that. Green voluntarily chooses community, as opposed to Blue getting indoctrinated into it, or being trapped in it. Green chooses to commit to the well-being of society in general, as opposed to Blue where people are indoctrinated into roles which are perceived by the indoctrinator to be good for society. Green chooses to create the kind of society it wants to create, as opposed to Blue which believes in the society it's indoctrinated in in an absolutist manner.
