  1. Don't help them. Instead, kill them in your mind so they don't bother you anymore. Then real love can happen. Love is not when you try to change people, I think.
  2. Yesterday I tried another hypnosis for "connecting with the higher-self" but it didn't worked. Later in the night I tried again but without audio, and it worked. I felt a vibration (dunno if it was my heartbeat of what) and I've seen an eye looking at me. It doesn't have a form in it's nature, but it takes this symbolic shape so that I can understand. Edit: Well it's a bit off topic. Maybe we't just dreams/memories right now, and someone else is dreaming us.
  3. @alyra What I really want is to stop reading books and focus on practice/being. Before that I have to read few more books still, because I'm afraid to miss some information. I've read many books already, and I want now to stop watching for new stuff to feed my thoughts. Disconnecting from the internet is the ultimate point. Reading "My Bit TOE" or "The Book of Not Knowing" (these are two big books) seems nice chilling moments, but it's nothing I can't discover on my own. I like the idea that for learning yoga, you have to put yourself in the skin of the very first yogis and figure out everything from scratch.
  4. A quick test shows your reading speed, or "WPM" (words per minute) : http://www.readingsoft.com/ English is not my native tongue so it ends up between 125 and 150, this is without taking time to contemplate what I've just read. Do you have any advice on reading faster - still grasping the most out of it ?
  5. @Epiphany_Inspired Aha you summed it well. For the hours a day and the pay, it depends on the country you are working in and the type of project (tv series, feature film, commercial...)
  6. A book like "My Big TOE" by Tom Campbell would take me 5 hours reading a day, during 7 days (125 WPM). This is without taking time for contemplation and taking notes - two weeks holidays, full time, seems more realistic. I've asked my intuition (future self) to tell which books should I read first, metaphysics books were discarded... It pointed practical psychology first.
  7. A drop in the ocean. You are the drop, and the ocean too!
  8. I've done an hypnosis on Youtube which aimed to help recall childhood memories. I was surprised to see/feel things as if I were there, and haven't expected that much details. I didn't known what would appear (since the goal of hypnosis is to let go) I wasn't in control of what appeared. I've seen random/boring stuff from my past, but wow it felt like traveling in time. It takes some efforts during the evening to find mental condition for the hypnosis to succeed : wanting it to work, believing it will work... Imagine going down stairs, each step is one year - you can stop where you want and see what your mind has decided to show you. If you go below zero you may see your other incarnations.
  9. For me, it's not about the tone of the instrument, but the melody. Chords and melodies are working together to take me somewhere I haven't though possible on earth. Youtube -> "JOE SATRIANI - Rubina (Live in San Francisco)"
  10. Childhood contrast a lot with our everyday adult lives. I have few drawings/objects that I use to remember different periods of my life. It's like when neurons are connecting back to old systems, it makes everything in perspective and you have a clear awareness on your current situation - which I think is very powerful because it makes your realize that you'r not the one you'r identifying with, and that everything is impermanent. Having this awareness makes you more flexible/sharp in your ability to create your life.
  11. I would rather give the 250 bucks and say "this money is intended for you to buy the course". Maybe this person would spend 250 bucks on legos ^^
  12. @Leo Gura I have a question regarding the book on Kundalini (which is not the book this thread is about). There are many books on Kundalini, I wonder how did you figured to put this one on the front ? Thanks
  13. Focus on what you don't want, and you'll give it more energy. You can also create new thoughts/forms, on pure will. Our ability to create is infinitely under-estimated.
  14. @sgn Look at the Native American Cultures (or in the movie "Avatar") killing animals to survive in a desert is part of a whole process, there is no judgement - for sure it's better to avoid killing animals if you have the choice. We'r not separated from the nature. I can't tell about the leopard and the toe since I haven't experienced/contemplated this directly, but I've heard from someone "enlightened" that both creatures aren't interacting just on a physical level. It's a win-win.
  15. @Outer Thanks for the info on B12 and DHA, I'll take care to double check these in my food schedule. Living without eating food is called "Breatharianism" or "Inedia". I don't know if we as human beings are meant to do that. I've found a source that seems valid but it's in French (Gabriel Lesquoy). This drawing makes me smile anyway ^^
  16. b12 is found in the ground. brewer's yeast (in salads or soup) is the most closely. lin oil too btw, it's possible to don't eat food or drink water for several years without problem - some people call it "prana" it's basically finding food in the surrounding energy. everything is information.
  17. Killing animals is ok. You can kill animals with the intent of love. A leopard killing a doe, both agreed to have this experience. It's about being, not doing.
  18. I once had a dream where a zen master teaches a disciple : "Zen master : When we drink a tea and eat a biscuit, why does it feel good ? Disciple : I don't know... I guess the molecules goes on the taste bud & lingual papillae... then the brain makes electricity & neurons bla bla... Zen master : No ! It's emotions ! That's what is real : emotions" (The zen master may be wrong, who knows, it's just a dream)
  19. @dude I had crashing issues with adobe, that's why i skipped to vegas x) It's probably a matter of OS or versions. Being lost in comparing softwares seems a step you cannot skip, try demos and figure out what work best for yourself.
  20. @Jhonny I'd like to point something, just food for thought : Great stories are one thing, and the animation medium another. They can be paired very well, but always ask yourself : Why don't you just use a camera ? Or write a novel ? Nowaday with VFX we can do everything, animation isn't meant to mimic the real world. Focus first on story, then find a way to tell it using the animation medium. Take a pen and a paper, walk in the street, observe and draw what you see. Then back home, install "plastic animation paper", learn how to use it and tell what you have seen. You need a Wacom too (like wacom bamboo pen). You can edit the sequences and add sound with any video editing software (sony vegas is cool).
