@Javfly33 thanks man totally agree regarding the schools. It causes this rift in my psyche for some reason I have this feeling like if I don’t study with Ralston, full awakening won’t happen but they kinda position it that way, they almost have an air of all other schools being wrong or at least that they are the best regarding metaphysical love, what I mean is that it’s undeniable that it’s the substance of reality and the point or beingness of God itself. If you have experienced this as well, what is left? Is there something higher? cheers

The reason I want a teacher and school is for guidance within distinctions and a container to contemplate and keep me on track. I have 2 main schools that I’m a part of. Both focus on increasing consciousness and awakening but make different distinctions (Ralston would agree with this) and have VERY different energies. The main school, is very heart focused and i feel much happier here Ralstons school is more masculine and militant but it’s also extremely powerful and the man is a Genius. I just don’t like how the teachings of love are completely excluded if not downright mocked at at this school

You guys are making great point and I’m enjoying this conversation. I think you’re absolutely right about psychedelics, they are limited and can create all kinds of delusion. There is something very pure about natural sober awakening. It’s nice and slow, stable and clean. Now, this does not discount Love at all. You can awaken and merge into reality, realize you are imagining it as God. You are the creator. Okay, so why? Why this whole thing? It’s just for the Universe or Being to experience itself. To know itself. What about the joy of this evolution, the bliss of this evolution, the Love of this process? You think Jesus was deluded when he preached about Love? How about all the other highest mystics who mention this as the ultimate structure of reality. None of them tripped and came to the same conclusion. Metaphysical Love is undeniable. It might not be the whole thing and there are certainly other aspects of awakening. But if you can’t acknowledge Love as the point of all this. The highest realization. You’re missing something vital

You DEFINITELY DO NOT NEED PSYCHEDELICS TO AWAKEN! They are simply a tool, why the fuck would the universe of God straw man you like that? That’s stupid as fuck I believe that there’s a point where they actually do more harm than good on your path. They are good for the start and maybe in the middle a bit. Go find a solid school where you can practice with enlightened people who don’t touch psychedelics if you can’t get there naturally and maintain it, what’s the point?

My life purpose is to become as conscious, in flow, aligned, awake, moving with God, as possible. This requires (in my case) many hours a day dedicated to solitude and contemplation, reading and of course bringing that into social realms and sexuality Im fortune to have money to do this, for a few years at least. Here is my statement. God consciousness. I must eliminate porn and alcohol my two greatest vices. I must not veer off, for the path has given me more than I could’ve imagined. I’m now 30, and it’s time fully dive into even deeper into God

I appreciate all your feedback and help with this big decision. however I also study at another school which is very direct about Love, similar to Leo and I find it’s helpful guide, not a distraction. Ralston seems to have the same perspective of Love being a distraction and commonly says “why call it that(love)?” so it’s interesting Also, it’s not so much that I’m bothered they don’t teach it, but also seem to think it’s silly or something. They don’t talk about it and sometimes imply it’s new age spirituality or something. I don’t want to leave the apprenticeship thinking love and new age is silly belief systems. At the same time I see immense value in studying with a master like Ralston directly and this is his last apprenticeship so it’s really a once in a lifetime opportunity. I’ve studied at their center for over 6 weeks total and read all his main books multiple times, so im no newbie to his work.

We’ve demonized having sex for pure enjoyment and fun. It doesn’t need to exclusively be for relationships and it’s not “less than” to have sex purely for pleasure. If respect is a pillar, why can’t 2 people just enjoy these temples together? why does that have to be empty? maybe that’s something you are adding on because of hardcore programming around sex being bad on even the subtlest levels. im not saying it’s for everyone, but women love sex as much as men, they’ve just had heavy programming around enjoying it for its own sake. So when they do that it feels “empty” or “bad”

I’ve got some “status” in a more Tantric yoga community. A good amount of women come through and I have sex, and it feels more authentic and aligned with a spiritual vibe. Mostly I hook up with spiritual women who are into Tantra. It’s very different than the club girls but sometimes I miss that kinda sex too. I realize that if I bring my authentic self into a club, which is a spiritual, calm, guy, it might not be as successful as an Owen Cook extrovert type personality. But I still get laid, not as much as I’d like to though full honesty

Also how can you integrate your natural authentic self and pick up skills? I don’t want to fake my personality by acting like Owen Cook, my vibe is chill, slow, calm, spiritual. Is it possible to do pick up authentically from that frame?

What if you don’t have this as a priority? How important is this skill?
