leo on approaches
Interview with a guy that spent $8000 on PUA coaching & still got 0 resultsThat's his problem right there. Pickup has a steep learning curve. Took me 440 approaches to get my first result. But I didn't pay no $8000 for it.
If you are a hard case newbie with serious social anxiety issues and deep introversion, you'll need more than 300 approaches to start to see results. But the good news is, your results grow at an exponential rate. The first year is the hardest and driest.

Depression
What is the best way to accept solitude and cure loneliness ?Man I've been there.
It's a self maintaining loop. The depression makes you less social and less able to do things, which in turn keeps you depressed. Breaking the loop is like climbing out of a deep deep whole with no ladder. Suicidal ideation can seem like a way out. But the thing with depression is that it responds very well to professional treatment, either talking therapy, cognitive therapy or medication (which I'm opposed to personally long term, but it can work well for some). It doesn't have to be permanent and you don't have to top yourself to solve it.
I also agree, I have absolutely no doubt that being deprived of human contact is detrimental to mental health. But I do also believe even a small amount of contact, even just taking a walk to your local coffee shop helps a great a deal. I also strongly believe that you can improve your skills at solitude and actually improve your mental health over time. I'm living evidence of that. Saying that, I've worked over time to improve my social skills and to reconect with people and that has helped a great deal, but I had to learn how to do it first.

a girl on looks
How much do looks matterI think it completely depends on your game, if you're confident, charismatic, funny etc and if you approach enough girls you can get some really hot chicks. my first boyfriend was reallllyyyy overweight, most girls would rate him below a 5 but this guy got legit the hottest girls ever after me. I'm talking Victoria secret blonde bombshells, the guys at school didn't understand why. but it was because he was extremely funny, extremely charming, intelligent and sociable and he hit on pretty much every girl he could find. this guy didn't have money or status or anything. so for guys, don't worry too much about your looks
I'm wondering how much it matters for girls though. I thought it was pretty much the only thing that mattered after I saw Leo's video on how to get a guy to fall in love with you but the opposite thing happened to me. last year I was super overweight. my waist was 38 inches and I'm 4'11 lol. but last year this really hot body builder was pining for me so hard I couldn't understand it. I was a 4 compared to his previous girlfriends so idk why he was catching feelings for me so hard. anyways we didn't end up together cause I couldn't;t be naked around a guy with 10% body fat and he already wasted 2 months blowing up my phone. so idk what it was I was doing but maybe the same thing also applies to women??

view of men's looks by a woman
Not Sexually Attracted.I have never been attracted to people because of their looks. Looks have nothing to do with it whatsoever. I don't care about looks. I get turned by who someone is and the sexual chemistry that is created. Looks are pleasant, but really have nothing to do with it. My partner is very good looking and I cant stand to be touched by him. Go figure. When I watched porn I just enjoy it because it gives me something to daydream about.. I enjoy the idea of enjoying sex.
I am not repulsed by him as a person, but as soon as he turns sexual towards me, then yes I am, as I feel as though I am being violated by a family member.
We were best friends and he told me he was gay, so I let me guards down and became really close to him. He then admitted he was in love with me. I loved him too and at the time, sex was not an issue for me, I valued all his other qualities and thought the sex would probably grow or I could just put up with not enjoying it, to please him. I never expected it to get this bad at all. I thought the other things would keep us sailing through, which it has done for all these years. But now, my body has gone into a state of trauma, I guess.
I think that these issues are not surface level. It doesnt matter if someone is a god in the bedroom if the chemistry is not there. If one of the people is not wanting to be inolved. To be sexual? It cant be forced can it? It's nothing to do with his looks, stamina, technique. It is me. I am the problem.
And yes, of couse I am underperfoming. Wouldnt you underperform if every cell in your body was telling you what you were doing was wrong?
Thanks for the reply.. :-)

Attraction and life
The Dark Truth of AttractionJust be aware that pickup people have an extremely skewed and self-biased perspective on dating/marriage/relationships. A very immature perspective.
You can learn things from the pickup perspective, but it can also rot your mind if you're not careful.

Leo on trauma
How do you awaken if you have trauma?Yes, you're gonna need to work on your traumas. But that doesn't means you have to fix them all before you start pursuing awakening. You can do both at once. Awakening work will bring up your traumas and attachments, which you can then address, heal, forgive, and let go.
Psychedelics are the most powerful way to process and heal trauma.
Don't waste years of your life grinding out traumatic issues with therapists. Just pop a psychedelic and accomplish years of work in one night. Effective healing requires consciousness, not talking.

Love and life purpose
Universal Life Purpose: LoveA concrete life purpose as discussed in the Life Purpose Course is a specific manifestation of Love through the prism of your personality structure. Love is universal but how it manifests through you in your life is a very personal and specific thing. So to develop a life around your life purpose will be the highest manifestation of Love for your avatar. But you must be concrete about it. Since everything is Love, the question then becomes, In what ways will you share your love with the world?

what is ego
What Ego IsActually, ego IS the sense of self, and it is a state of consciousness.
Perceptions alone do not generate a sense of self. People who are conscious of no-self (no-ego) still have experiences and perceptions. Just no human self tying it all together.

Leo on love
Leo’s zen devil videoThat is the whole problem in a nutshell. There is no easy answer here. It requires a serious commitment to personal investigation while keeping a very open mind and being willing to change directions and admit mistakes.
In the end you are the TRUTH, so you cannot have anyone else get it for you. But of course many people can assist in your awakening process. Sometimes the assistance will be deeply counter-intuitive: the teachers who mislead you the most might be exactly what you needed to ultimately Awaken.
There are many ways to Awaken. A brutal approach is not necessary unless you feel that's what you need.
Personally I find a loving approach works better for me. You may discover the same. Sometimes the harder you push the less it works. So learning surrender can be crucial.
When in doubt, listen to your heart. Listen to love over fear.
You will never go wrong with Love because Love is Truth. One day you will understand. But probably not for a while.

bashar on psychedelics
Sharing my path: RASA, Depression, Psychedelics, Ashram, Romantic LoveI've assembled a short video compilation with his views about them. People ask him about this a lot and there are too many other videos with this topic, this is just a sample, but it's enough.

don't think about spirituality
Perusing enlightenment at 19?@Patrick_9931 Most people should probably focus on building up a decent life for yourself: career, life purpose, education, skills, business, money, relationships, family, health, nutrition, house, hobbies, etc.
Pretty much everyone needs those things unless you are going to become a full-time monk.
So it's a question of whether you want to be a householder or a monk. There's no right answer. It's all about what you want.
At an age so young, you've got plenty of time to build up a decent life for yourself (over the next 10 years let's say) and then you can abandon it later if you want to go hardcore monk. Or you can have that householder life established and waiting for you after you return from your spiritual quest.
Becoming a monk at 19 is too extreme for most people. That would only be if you know for sure that your destiny is to be a full-time hardcore Buddha. But it even took The Buddha til 27 to leave his household and till 30-something to reach enlightenment.

leo description of first 5 meo trip
Leo - are you in ‘Permanent Non-dual Awareness’?You will experience something so freaky that your mind will not be able to make sense of it.
It will probably terrify you. But that's exactly what you need.
My first time I had a panic attack. And I've never had a panic attack in my life.
You will probably think you've killed yourself.

leo vs a hater
Debunking Solipsism confusion All is one in a positive wayThis is highly advanced work for serious people.
If you can't stomach it, find some newbie self-help teachings.
This works assumes you are mentally stable and grounded. My teachings are not suitable for people struggling to make it through their day.
And watch your disrespectful and accusatory tone.
If the idea of solipsism triggers you, you got a lot of work to do.

How much is there to explore?
I finally 'died' and then I gave birth to a new worldIt's not about pestering her to do more drugs.
It's about helping her to keep an open mind about future experiences.
A lot of people fall into the trap of dipping their toe in the ocean and thinking "That's it, I don't need to explore the ocean any more. I understand ocean now." Which is a shame. It's a self-deception.
That Alan Watts quotes is so misused. Alan Watts was not Awake.

Leo on free will
Question For Leo About Free WillThe more awakened version of the free will question resolves as there not being a difference between free will and not free will, since that is a duality.
It's very tricky. The universe's will is in control, but you are also the universe.
In the end, everything is God's will, but you are also God. So you sit right in the nexus of the matter.

Free will vs determinism
Question For Leo About Free Willwell if Leo's video about freewill disturbs you go grab some books. it will help you a lot.
here are some of my recommendations for "shortcut" and "summary"
1) "Pragmatism" by William James
- I remember, one of his articles in this book, he mentioned the long history of Freewill VS Determinism. Well, he concluded this with his own opinion but it will help you briefly summarize this topic.
2) "History of western philosophy" by Johannes Hirschberger
- this one was a tough one though with thick volume but... you may check some of the ancient philosophy parts about how they interpreted freewill VS determinism. Plus, Hirschberger may give you some insights and logics of how to debunk bullshits on this Freewill VS Determinism issue.
Furthermore, since I found quite a lot of things in common between Leo and Plotinus, it would be good for you to check some of the Plotinus Idea as a review of Leo's contents.
-
Well personally, I believe you should not solely rely on shortcuts or summaries, check out some original books about freewill and determinism such as Leibniz and so on. And then, build up your own ideas. I do not believe that any of these books could bring you 100% pure wisdom, especially on this matter.

Brain of women
Mention of flirtation in Leo's last videoYou're not getting it. Women's brains are genetically hardwired to be more intuitive.
The male brain is less integrated and holistic than a female brain. The male brain is more autistic and left-hemisphere dominant while the female brain is more balanced, giving her access to more intuitive capacity of the right-hemisphere.
Of course there are exceptions. I'm speaking generally.
This is one of reasons why witches are classically women. Women are not only more intuitive, they often have psychic abilities which is why women are more interested in stuff like astrology and psychic stuff. Of course not all women have psychic abilities, but I think a larger percentage of them do than men.
This is not about teaching it to their sons.

Karma
@Leo: Could you elaborate on karma, please? ?You can think of karma as all the mental attachments of the mind which keep it constrained in its finite shape. By cutting each attachment the entire field of consciousness gets free and goes infinite and unbiased.
So, for example, if you believe that science is true, that's a big mental attachment which prevents your consciousness from realizing God. And you have 100s of such attachments. The most important attachments are not material objects, they are intellectual beliefs and stories. For example, the belief that you were born in a certain year at a certain place, that's another big chunk of your mental karma which makes it very difficult to realize God.
To full enter God-mode all that mental karma must be overcome in one way or another. Could be via a psychedelic or yoga or self-inquiry or whatever.

Book for deep meditation practice
Training your concentrationThe Mind Illuminated by John Yates has given me incredible results regarding concentration. Much better than a standard meditation technique like mantra, do nothing, open awareness etc.

Ken wilber
Criticism of Ken WilberI have no serious criticisms of him. He knows his shit.
He doesn't deny love. He talks quite a bit about Eros (his term of Love), and he says that the driving force behind all evolution is love. Which is correct in my view, although even that doesn't go far enough to underscore the importance of Love in all of Creation.
He might not be as explicit about Infinite Love as I am, equating Love & Truth. But that's probably because he has not accessed some of the deepest insights I have accessed via psychedelics.
I think his understanding of reality would be deeper if he went deeply into psychedelics. But oh well. It's good enough. You can only ask so much of a guy. He has done several life-times-worth of amazing work.
Ken is one of the greatest Western philosophers and intellectuals who has ever lived. We are lucky to be alive alongside him. It's sad that his health as deteriorated so quickly.

How to do psychedelics? A suggestion
Getting going with insight searching, through psychedelicsIf you would like to explore psychedelics, I would get enough to do several trips over the course of a couple months and see how it goes. I would start with a standard psychedelic like LSD, mushrooms or a standard research chemical like 4-aco-dmt. I would start with a low dose and allow time for integration. I would start tripping in a safe and familiar setting, like my apartment and create a good atmosphere. Depending on how things went, I would expand. Perhaps increase the dose or trip in nature or try a new psychedelic.
If you are concerned about risks, start with a mini dose. A mini dose of LSD is less risky than drinking coffee - and much healthier.

Am i god?
You are not God and will never be.@ivankiss Cute, but you are not conscious of the highest Truth.
You are still denying that you are God. You are still creating duality. You are still not taking back your full authority. You are still not realizing that God is infinite limitation.
You have deeper to go. Your awakening is half-baked.
"You are not God and never will be" << that is pure devilry, the opposite of Truth.

Ego death
I almost died, but I chickened out.@XYZ Sure, seeing the Truth can cause a terror response in the body.
"Shock and awe" is a good way to describe certain deep existential insights. But that's usually upon first glimpses. Once you have many awakenings the terror of it goes away and you're mostly just left with awe.
Die a few dozen times and you'll become comfortable with it. No big deal. It will be like, "Oh yeah... ego death. Cool."

How to deal with the dark night
Wow! My depression is gone.Hello.
A lot of you guys know me and what I've been going through lately. It's called The Dark Night of the Soul.
"The Dark Night of the Soul" represents darkness, sorrow, and despair. Some people associate it with a meaningless life.
When you meditate for longer periods of time, The Dark Night of the Soul (depression, sorrow, sadness, meaninglessness and so forth) may strike you but don't worry; it's not a bad thing. It will go away gradually if you keep yourself mindful and conscious of the whole process. It will go away if you let it be without resistance and just observe the sensations in your body, your feelings, and your thoughts. It's important not to take it seriously in the sense that you don't have to identify yourself with being depressed or sad.
The trick is to be mindful all the time, even when nothing seems clear.
This article can be helpful to people who meditate: https://www.shambhala.com/snowlion_articles/purification-dreams-aches-turbulence-and-other-signs-of-progress/
This one as well: https://jackkornfield.com/purification-the-gateway-to-higher-states/
On the other hand, my consciousness has shifted. It's a beautiful thing and it's a lot to handle but in a good way.
There are lots of benefits that come when you raise your consciousness with (a) meditation practice:
- reading without being distracted;
- having clear thoughts;
- having NO brain fog;
- writing without being distracted;
- watching a video without your mind wandering all the time;
- your inner resistance to study disappear;
- you feel better in your own body;
And a lot more. I'll stop here.
When you go through difficult times, come back to this topic and read it again, again and again.
Peace and well being to all of you.
