Well, what do you truly want? It sounds like you're not sure if you want to go into the personal realm or the impersonal one. If you want Truth, you have to give up the personal, and just surrender. Of course, that might happen regardless. Ayahuasca, in my understanding, is wise and gives you what you are ready for at that moment. Have faith and let go. You'll be in good hands. -

Definition of solipsism: : a theory holding that the self can know nothing but its own modifications and that the self is the only existent thing also : extreme egocentrism taken from Merriam-Webster dictionary (I bolded the words) Infinity/Reality/God is all there is. However, this certainly isn't nor can it ever be a theory, it can never be conceptualized. And more importantly: there isn't a self, and there certainly isn't a thing anywhere. Case closed. Enlightenment is not solipsism, it's so beyond solipsism that it's a disservice to Love to continue to use it. This concept is only being used on this forum, just notice that so many spiritual traditions have steered clear of such theories. Using this word is sloppy, incorrect, misleading and not aligned with Source, Love and all there is. This solipsism business is a sham, and it doesn't feel good because it isn't aligned with Truth. Truth feels amazing, it feels like love, connection, bliss, wholeness, perfection, heaven. Trust your inner guidance. -

This is sloppy language... It's not only other people who are imagined, it's ALL people, including the "person" you believe you are. There aren't people at all, there is only Infinity. -

If you call it a bubble it sounds limited. But where are the limits really? Are there edges? Is there any kind of limitation that isn't imagined? The infinite can look, feel, appear as whatever it wants. -

Thumbs up to this. -

The realization "I am awareness" and not a person is an important one, but it is just the beginning of the spiritual path. If doubts arise, investigate again, are you the doubts (thoughts) or are you aware of doubts? Bring yourself back however many times it's needed until those thoughts subside. Meditation is very helpful for this. -

Very nice -
You're going to need to practice socialization. There are no easy answers, you need to force yourself to do it until it becomes easier and easier. Consider the "learning to drive a car" analogy. In the beginning, you need to think about all the little moves, the stick, the steering wheel, looking around, checking mirrors, etc. As time goes by and you do it everyday, it becomes automatic, internalized, and you then do it naturally, with ease. And if you stop driving for a few months, when you go back to it, you have lost some of that ease, you need to re-learn driving, but it's no longer starting from scratch, the body/mind will remember and soon enough you're driving without thinking about it. Learning to drive a car can be scary, but you jump inside the car and start doing it. Same thing with socializing.

This is the only time I'm going to engage with one of your posts, because you are clearly coming from a traumatized/hurt state. And I don't like to feed negativity, it doesn't help anyone. I have NEVER exchanged messages with Nahm on this forum. I don't know him, nor do I care what he does in his private life. I am however aware of messages, and the "vibe" or "energy" behind them. And what he speaks comes from Truth - if that can even be said. The only thing he can be accused of as a member of this forum has been amply debated - sometimes not meeting people where they're at and jumping into non-duality when a relative approach was perhaps more useful. But his energy was full of positivity, love and insight. This isn't about the person behind the keyboard - there isn't one - it's about aligning with true nature, and true nature is love and goodness - not separation and hatred. Grace and peace to all. -

He was talking about no-self because in this forum, lately, that is what is most needed. Have you seen the dozens of threads of people scared shitless of eternity all alone? This is a direct result of this "I am the only conscious being" talk. The awakening to God is amazing, the best experience to be had, for sure. It's worth talking about it, yes. But the illusory self is so sticky that this experience is then taken as a new identity. When there are actually no entities at all. God is NOT a self! Therefore there is no one to be alone for eternity. And Leo's latest teachings are simply misleading, sloppy and immature. Both in content and delivery. The results have been quite noticeable on the forum. And Nahm saw this very clearly, that's what happened. -

Same here. The first video explaining enlightenment, "the most shocking truth" or something like that, was the jump start to my spiritual journey. I didn't think it would come to this... -
Gili Trawangan replied to Gregory1's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Indeed. Fully agree with this, and would do the same in your shoes. -
Gili Trawangan replied to No Body's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Yes, that is correct. But this forum is going in the opposite direction, building its spirituality on beliefs such as "I am the only conscious being", or "I am all alone", not realizing that these are thoughts. Therefore it's not absolute truth, because absolute truth is ALWAYS true. Which is why it can't be spoken. In absolute truth there isn't a self that can be all alone. There is only this. In other words, the Tao that can be named is not the real Tao. Or better yet, <silence> -

It would be interesting for this community to introspect on why that is. Why does the solipsism topic come up again and again? It's been years... think about it, it's not out of the blue. -
What a great idea

But see, there isn't a self to be all alone. That's the problem with this perspective. The infinite is not a conscious being who endures eternity forever. The infinite is beyond that. It's beyond consciousness or selves. It is ever fresh, always new. A big bang at every moment. No one is here to be alone. -
Gili Trawangan replied to justfortoday's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
You can put it that way. It's still not solipsism. Or you could simply say that there are no people. There is only the infinite or God. -
Gili Trawangan replied to justfortoday's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
This should be in your OP. It's much better than calling everybody dead meat suits. It's NOT solipsism! -
The reason @Nahm has been using more of the "there is no you" talk lately, is because a) it's true and b) it's apparently very much needed on this forum, given the incredible misunderstandings coming from the latest "teachings" - the "I am God and the only being in existence" idea, which is indeed a thought. Solipsism is a thought, and Nahm is relentlessly trying to point that out. I've thought about trying to do that myself (and I see the irony in the use of pronouns and past tenses here, can't help it), but the passion and desire to do it just doesn't seem to arise here. Ultimately I don't think communication helps, only introspection and openness, if we're lucky. The so-called Neo-Advaita talk can get annoying, "I" get annoyed by it sometimes too - that is, annoyance appears and hopefully sooner or later it's let go of - but if it's met with genuine interest and humility it can generate the insight that generates true liberation. Infinity CANNOT be grasped, there isn't a self who could possibly grasp it.

If you ask me, this is not the proper mindset... you shouldn't be thinking about quitting, you should be thinking about getting really good at it and about all the results you'll get.

This is a good start, but 40 is almost nothing... 40 is hardly enough to get past approach anxiety. Keep approaching and work on your sticking points. Daygame takes a while to get good at. But when it happens, voila, abundance.

Yup, that's it. -
Even this is a limiting belief. You don't need to socialize that much, though it certainly helps if you do.
