What you said is fine, and I actually agree from a certain perspective. But notice the relativity of the whole thing. Real goal? For you maybe. What if one is at a stage in life where having real sex is not a goal and is actually a waste of time? What if one is focused on other things and doesn't have the time to, or doesn't want to, go out and meet real girls? And if that person also still has a sex drive and needs sexual release? Again with the goal... just realize that this is your goal now, this can easily change in the future. Sex positive is a relative notion. That said, for most guys what you said applies. Again, it's relative.

I'm gonna give you the annoying spiritual reply because I think it applies and because I can relate. Here goes: there is no you. There are judgements arising because of the utter inconsistency of the mind. The inconsistency of the separate self's desires is being recognized. Sometimes "you" want intimacy. Sometimes "you" couldn't care less. The same thing happens here, and I don't have much practical advice except for this: notice what's happening and ultimately see that it's happening and you aren't doing any of it. It's thoughts appearing, it's desires coming and going. Someone else might give you more practical advice, this is what came up today here

I've become active on the forum again lately and it's time to stop. It's a way of distracting myself from work. It was fun to interact on some threads, but it ultimately leads to a feeling of wasted time. The break was needed though, couldn't face the music project during these last couple of weeks. The weekend is busy with classes, but on Monday I'll start again. I might start taking modafinil every now and again, cause the mental energy just hasn't been there for me lately. It's a lack of exercise, since the lockdown I've only done push-ups and squats at home, and it's not enough to provide some healthy energy.

Your experience reminds me of Christopher Bache, I knew about him here on the forum. After 20 years of taking psychedelics and exploring consciousness, he says that he was just waiting to die, so he could return to his "beloved" - his word - aka Infinite Love. And that as time went on he understood that there was something not quite right about that longing. He needed to accept being in the body. He stopped taking psychedelics, never did them again, and went through a long period of integration til finally accepting the Now, no matter what. There's no end to Infinity, nowhere to go. You can kill yourself, but sooner or later you'll be right back here, because infinity doesn't wish to stop manifestation. Or maybe I'm wrong, it's just something for you to consider.
