@Karmadhi Hypothetically, let's assume this or next year, no other conflicts escalate, Israel/Palestine conflict ends with treaty or ceasefire, fighting over for now. When it comes time to investigate war crimes, and they find that say 20% of IDF committed actual war crimes, would Israel punish that 20% of soldiers? What if it's about 40% guilty, would they punish? How much would Israel feel like it's too much to prosecute? This is why IMO Israel should, more sooner than later, resolve this conflict one way or another so that when comes the investigations and trials, that lower numbers of soldiers get tried, not wait until 50% or more are guilty, then what? put all 50% behind bars, and have a -50% reduction in military? -

@Karmadhi Now this is much closer to the real issue, which is hatred and revenge cycles. Currently the situation is quite bad for Gazans/Palestinians due to IDF military bombings, displacement, and higher restrictions on aid, food, water, so forth. I do agree we shouldn't put them in '1 basket' or generalize the entire population as guilty of supporting HAMMAs, or guilty in total, and am too against blind collective punishment as that's an easy way to pass generational trauma down to children, and when they become adults if they don't sort out their traumas and hate/revenge they become next to perpetuate the hatred cycle, which is passed onto the next generation, and so on. Also agree that some do support HAMMAs way more than most, and due to density now and other factors it's very difficult for IDF to cleanly go after those who exactly support terror versus those trying to just survive as Palestinians. Yes, ideally IDF soldiers who actually raped/murdered a non combatant Palestinian should be charged, or hanged to show discipline onto IDF and to show HAMMAs strength, and keep in check and line the alt right in Israel to behave or get hanged. One time I'd be in favor for a death sentencing to implement severe martial law onto those who break them because it's so easy to seek revenge and to destroy more than what's the objective here. Plenty of dark events in military history shows this. -

@Leo Gura Oh really? In the past I was banned from the political sub forum for about 1 week, didn't know there's indefinite time. I stand corrected, never mind. -

@Merkabah Star It's a one week temp ban from the political sub forum, so she can still post on other sub forums just not in the political sub forum. -
I can't believe how lunatic is this Lunar C really is: Christ, some UK people are crazy...

@StarStruck He was actually for the most part reasonable, just had his moments of emotional venting/ranting with the other users posting some very inflammatory stuff and links. Nobody here's perfect with being objective, plus he's living in Israel so I'd give him leeway a bit. -

@zazen What do you think is the probability of Israel disobeying the ICJ ruling, or not? If they're found guilty of genocidal intent? -

@StarStruck Chill, @Lila9 has her moments of civility in this thread. -
Danioover9000 replied to Leo Gura's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
@zazen I agree. Regardless of how heated, we should show some decorum, not attack people too much, and remain objective when arguing from both sides. Felt like sometimes she would be very emotive and rant/vent, sometimes. -
Danioover9000 replied to Leo Gura's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
@Lila9 @Nivsch But what about her posts recently, when some of it get's too personal and demonizing the pro Palestinian position? What about her past posts that were pretty inflammatory? If she, according to you, wants to learn and change approaches to conversation, and facilitate a good faith peaceful talks, why would she argue with so much ethos appealing and be heated when she could've toned it down and be objective?: (link is removed for being too graphical) -
@Rafael Thundercat I agree, great man and good video. Good example of responsibility of communications, as I do vocal exercises and play DnD, do a bit of acting and improvisation, and freestyle rapping and drawing and a whole bunch of ART. But I have to ask you for clarity: Witch spelling is good/bad? in one's life?

@NoSelfSelf I'm sorry, pardon me. To clarify I meant @Lila9 was banned from this political sub forum, not banned from forum, according to Leo. I will move on too, and wish @Vrubel the best and move on. -
@Juan Viveros Very nice video mate! Albeit this rapper isn't the first conscious rapper, or rap about spirituality or psychedelics, just check out daylyt for example.

A rare moment where I mostly agree with Hassan here: -

@Vrubel I see your post as judgmental, demonizing another user, and name calling, and being conspiratorial in why @Lila9 was banned. What was so reasonable about @Lila9's 20 other posts recently other than inflammatory language and demonizing of the other side? Maybe you should take a break a bit if you're this triggered? -

@Heaven Why do you keep reframing genocide as ONLY acts of killing civilians, and away from genocidal intent, population displacement, starvation tactics, and genocidal language and ethnic cleansing? -
Danioover9000 replied to Leo Gura's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
@_Archangel_ So, in your view, when most of this thread cherry picks/selection biases by selective pictures/clips/videos of either side, that's a problem? Even though part of the human condition is by default selection bias, confirmation bias due to limited time, energy and attention? What if trying to shift the focus to detecting broader systemic issues that have roots in historical context of that region is just another form of deflection and distraction from the current specific issues? What if this is happening but the well is poisoned much earlier? For example, that is actually happening, but it's through the lens of pro Israel/Palestinians, viewing the history of their region but then selective and partial to their biases, to reverse justify their pro Israel/Palestine positions, through their propaganda, which poisons any good faith attempts to view this situation, so what do we do when we're fed with propaganda, lies and misinformation? IDK about the more we go back to contemporary history the less subjected to interpretation an event is. Feels like we're trying to downplay this issue and distance ourselves from this by going back to a more 'distant' timeline away from this current emotional conflict in Israel/ Palestine, it's like you're trying to tell us to back away, to go to distant pasts, away from the current situation because it's too uncomfortable. -
Candace Owens got to chill a bit:

Not the first rapper to talk about spirituality or psychedelics, that's Day Lit and a few more, but this is a nice rap song IMO:

This to me felt more like a stage red/blue type of comedy, the rant part. Compare this to other lighter comedies:

Interesting justification from Andrew on the Andrew Wilson versus Matt Dillahunty: Now here I do specifically disagree that it wasn't intentional, I believe it was intentional to get under Matt's skin because his Trans wife was there. Plus, Matt's opening statements did bad faith Christianity, and bringing in other political points and ridicule that actually justifies Andrew's counter opening. -

@BlueOak Good post, I can partly agree with you here. It's just that navigating those lines of shaming the scammers enough, to not make it so self entitled and self righteous too much can be murky to me. Also I don't mean to be racist India and their scammers is one of many examples, there are other scammers in different countries as well, plus due to the pervasive internet that increased narcissism and self entitlement via anonymity and chasing likes/click rates/ hyper sensational thumbnails and titles and auto beautification of profile pictures from algorithms, sociopathy/psychopathy due to easier hating/trolling and lack of accountability and prolonged interface of a 2d screen scrolling up/down when we as humans are designed for 3d environmental interaction, moral degeneracy and brain rot, more ADD/ADHD cases via chasing shorter videos like Tik Tok/Twitter/Twitch/Kick, increases in living vicariously and para social relationships from Twitch/Kick, vast misinformation and misleading content in polarizing framings, and social media influencers literally INFLUENCING the younger generation, and all these negative factors of the internet contributes to brain rot and indoctrinated consumerism. It's sad nowadays when most westerners think of India, it's not a 'spiritual civilization that made Yoga', it's instead the 'world capital of scammers.' yet can you or anyone blame them collectively for this? Given their history, economy, geography, bio-psycho-socio factors, and many other developmental factors? -
It really is. Think about it in terms of developmental factors, and the capitalism ideology and incentive to make this type of content for clicks, and views. Obviously there's still many scammers, fraudsters, con artists, swindlers, grifters, hustlers, liars and cheats, especially in 3rd world countries. Yet a few videos like these: And many more, it definitely feels like mostly stage orange profits driven, for clicks and views. Are they spreading some awareness? Sure. Is this the ideal way? IMO probably not, and does little to solve the deeper issues there in the big picture.
