@SgtPepper Okay, but let's consider these possibilities: 'Before enlightenment, chop wood and carry water. After enlightenment, chop wood and carry water' it's an innocent sounding quote at first, but notice when we reframe the metaphor of the quote 'Before enlightenment, chop heads and carry women. After enlightenment, chop heads and carry women.'. Questions: Is the ego truly dead from enlightenment? What's really stopping a god realized person from doing his/her normal routine? Or from intensifying the usual ignorance of the karma? Spiritual masters are not immune to this problem.

@Rajneeshpuram Yes, it definitely does accumulate energies that not only damages the minds, but carries over to the next life.

@Carl-Richard Nice description of yourself there.

@Hello from Russia Who says I'm watching any PUA teachers? You're assuming way too much about me. I'm claiming that claim of 80-90% sex success depends on man's skills is wrong and limited. This leaves out the woman's part in the process. The gist of what you're saying is that chasing tails gets you developed, while the gist of the thread is the opposite.

@Knowledge I'm typing. Is my direct experience lying? -
Where are the high standards of this forum? Anyways rape is wrong because it's traumatic and adds weight to your karmic train. The end.

@Hello from Russia Responding in vagueness doesn't help your case at all. You pinned all the insecurity onto PUA done by insecure males and females, and now you're claiming that you've claimed insecurity is everywhere, so take your pick: insecurity comes from everywhere, or from PUA? You've also claimed that 80-90% of sex is mainly done by men, not women. This is quite distorted. You're wrong on consciousness, and you're assuming too much about my mastery of consciousness, and our arguing about consciousness is pointless here. I don't care about your subjective prioritization of consciousness, other than your faulty associating consciousness with attraction, because there is a small percentage of men that're not highly conscious yet are attractive.

@BipolarGrowth Keep a dream journal, and practice lucid dreaming, meditation, and various forms of visualizations. Those are the main skill sets that was used to create many things including this reality. -
@Gesundheit All the more important for people to transcend porn and sex and move on in life.

@Hello from Russia LOL, the shallowness of sex highly dependent on men? Actually, it's highly dependent on experience, deep insecurities, beliefs and participation. You make it sound like the guy is doing all the work, while the woman just lays there limp. Not creepy at all. The 'wibe'(vibe) is not limited to PUA and insecure pick ups, there are more deeper issues at work, mainly coming from different areas of your life you're deficient in. Sort those out first. Consciousness has nothing to do with attractiveness, and there are more factors in increasing attractiveness than increasing consciousness. I can increase my consciousness, yet that itself does not alter my physicality or actions, and I see men and women for what they truly are and not want any to do with them. Increasing consciousness has more different outcomes than merely attraction.

@benmitchell2812 I think It's mainly about biases. Elliot has a body bias more than mind bias, which means that concepts and ideas are more difficult to deconstruct, especially if it's supportive of the body bias. He does have a point with meditation sickness, it is a spiritual purging process, meaning you will have a short or long periods of mental, emotional or physical turmoil, and then some higher peace is attained. Also, if you narrow most of your time and energy only meditating, it does nothing for your other areas of your life other than atrophy. -
This should be interesting...

@Kshantivadin That's great to hear you're doing well. Retaining at the moment, and some good insights you've given me in the post. Thanks.

Yes, and depending on which spiritual practice, it gets intensified.

@Someone here Mainly acting. Never mind porn, there could be a deeper problem with your relationship to porn that you have yet to explore. If you've outgrown porn, then that's okay. Have fun with gf, but don't get shocked if the sex part of the relationship starts becoming stale.

@w4read I think in the future society will evolve better, regardless of every type of struggle. In the end, we all will become and behave like pure, porcelain dolls to each other. -
@Someone here So? There's also face cam porn videos I forgot to mention. So what's you're actual problem, the porn you're viewing excessively, or the sex your having excessively? Or the deeper problem like amusing yourself with lies?

Danioover9000 replied to benmitchell2812's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Jacobsrw This somewhat contradicts contemplation. If you're relentlessly thinking thoughts that have negative features, then yes that is taxing for the mind, but what about positive thinking? Or the Kuon practices done in Zen temples, aimed at exausting the mind till enlightenment occur? -
@Someone here No worries, I've talked about pornography extensively before, it's link to sexual development using spiral dynamics. It was so complicated that users were getting frustrated so I just hid it. It actually is possible to abstain from porn, even sex altogether. Time and will power, vision, are key factors involved. Sex isn't natural, reproduction and the actual fucking is natural, (unless you've progressed beyond the materialistic worldview, unconventional non-physical sex then that becomes the next natural). Real sex also includes more than just intimacy and playfulness, unless you mean something else that's kinky but other than that it's ok to spice up your business with your gf, maybe both of you use the audio program for the mood prior to sex? The main problem is you've generalized boring robotic sex to mean most porn. What porn are you referring to with 'most porn'? Porn videos? Porn animations? Porn comics? Erotica? Audio erotica? professional porn? Amateur porn? Not to mention the various kinks and fetishes possible, not just at one stage of the Spiral, but at other stages as well. The amount of money and energy to produce, at mass levels, a realistic experience of porn that mimics real life sex is more expensive than going instead with standards set by those company owners or branches. Also, there's many other porn businesses in the porn industry, so competition to out grab the most eyeballs of the public is expected, which is why it'll get a bit crazier with each type of porn medium at this stage, like with porn videos with more elaborate equipment and body proportions. Finally, there's the center of gravity that is at stage orange that you'll find most porn mediums orbit around. Since materialism and transactional relationships are highly valued at this stage, those that have these values tend to structure their companies and products/services with these in mind. I'm assuming you're complaining about when it starts becoming excessive stage orange porn, or if you've had too much porn viewing and masturbation that it got to be as boring as robotic sex?

@Rajneeshpuram I think some scientists on eugenics did some tests on if it's possible of past generation's traumas or depressions to pass onto the next generation. If I'm not mistaken, they did that study on Jewish survivors of the holocaust and the families that came from those survivors. I definitely would say it's not gonna be an over night fix, like Rome wasn't built in one day. -
@Rajneeshpuram This is actually a solid build. It's similar to what I did. Nice.

Danioover9000 replied to TravisB's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@TravisB This is what you get for not preparing yourself first! Now you realistically have limited options in resolving this problem, but I'll give some suggestions as I've faced a similar problem but on a more dangerous psychedelic: Find a quiet place of solitude. I used an isolation tank at a natural setting. Use a detoxing program. I've instead switched my lifestyle to celibate. Also, this might be a good time to switch spiritual practices, or contemplate deeper. However, if this is truly fearsome, then solidly abstain from whatever spiritual practice or psychedelic you're consuming, until you return to normal. More important, don't forget this incident. -

@Haloman I knew it! It was suspicious the thread and user disappeared. I hope his problem was resolved amicably. I'd put injustices unresolved, retributions pending and martial arts in the fill in the blank, and many more, and my reasons are that if I don't find some way to get even, I'd shake in my coffin with passion. A passion shaking corpse is not what I want to become. -
