@Moksha That's interesting that dreams are like portal, almost like other worlds to explore. I'll have to contemplate this bit, so thanks. -
@Reciprocality How anything views MMA/UFC is relative. A fly might be present during a match, and because of it's fly consciousness being stage beige, it may interpret the match differently than a human would. A Native American might find it strange that a winning fighter didn't kill the losing one and collect his/her scalp, A criminal, rapist, sexist or murderer would align with the violence, never minding the technical qualities of the fighter's martial arts, which makes up some of the viewers. Patriots/nationalists with military backgrounds or religious/knowledge workers with suppressed stage red thinking, morality, make up the larger part of the viewers. I don't see any viewers that are stage orange, green, yellow and turquoise that interested in MMA/UFC. Even other stage blue martial artists and modern combat sports like catch wrestling and boxing look down on the hoggishness and thuggery of MMA/UFC, equating MMA octagon to underground cage fights. While MMA itself is mostly stage orange in integrating parts of other stage blue martial arts, just like martial arts, MMA might not have all the resources for your personal growth, not even spirituality. You can also list other martial arts that have a complete system, or so grappling, that won't have the full personal growth, BJJ included. These comments are not focused on the content of Martial Arts, but the structure. If BJJ is both spectacular in it's technical execution, and having non-lethal methods to me does mean it has some potential for stage green approaches to handling combat, and that Martial Arts could stamp out the more impulsive violent ego then this shouldn't have happened at all https://www.mmamania.com/2013/1/9/3858336/video-lloyd-irvin-brazilian-jiu-jitsu-students-rape-matthew-maldonado-nicholas-schultz-arrested Another example of staying vigilant with regards to your ego. The 'tunnel vision' is referring to your attachment to MMA. A well trained Russian Systema practitioner, Pencak Silat and Jeet Kune Do practitioner can kill an octagon fighter. If you are attached to MMA/UFC, this is a bitter pill to swallow. No matter how much mastery of MMA you have, an average joe with a knife, a gun, a sniper rifle, and a bomb, along with multiple attackers, will still kill the fighter. This is meant to sober you, and to remind you that there are probably other things left to explore besides beating up a human to a pulp. Your attachment to the UFC is another issue.

@b_woo It would be shocking to think any kind of corruption would take place on Biden's side whatsoever... -

@Hardkill Okey, since it looks like he's winning, will he be able to do trade negotiations with the UK? -

Who's currently leading in the polls? If Biden does win, would he be open to a trade deal with the UK? -
@Reciprocality While I do like the spirit of the combat sport such as MMA and martial arts, don't let yourself get tunnel vision and think it's the most beautiful of all possible combat arts because which one martial arts in MMA is most beautiful?. To me, there are other martial arts that're so beautiful you can't box these martial arts into MMA because you'll end up with a long line of injured or dead fighters. Jeet kune Do, Pencak Silat, traditional Muey Tai Boxing, grappling arts like wrestling, Japanese Jiu Jitsu and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu are some I like, but there are much more out there. Also, don't discount modern combat systems from the militaries and other self defense, for example Russian Systema. Also, if you are serious in being a fighter professionally, then you're gonna need to train really good defenses. Despite the dangers of boxing and brain damage, and other bodily damage accumulated in boxing, compared to MMA or other combat sports that use kicks, elbows and knees, getting kicked, kneed and elbowed to the head or other body parts is more forceful than padded gloves, and getting such serious injuries will effect your overall quality of happiness and life. Personally, keep it a hobby until you outgrow valuing the violence, dominating other fighters and showing off to the crowd. Much deeper values in martial arts, or in the gym, are things like developing discipline, masculinity, responsibility and so on.
-
@Leo Gura I value things differently, and my top ideals aren't Truth, but hey, I'll probably change it later.
-
Does this all hinge on having alignment to some values you have? For example, we could say Daniel Ingram's success in meditation comes from adopting and aligning whatever values he learned from Buddhism to fuel his mastery of meditation. Or we could take Bruce Lee's success in movie making, fitness and martial arts as the result of him taking on some outer values, aligning with them, and either keeping some and losing some values until he's left with the ones that mostly fuel his energy towards fitness, martial arts and movie making. What I'm saying is, because of discovering whatever value you have, all the actions that follow are from that. Because Leo values understanding and truth, he got to do psychedelics, spiritual work, consciousness work and continues to go deeper, because he values understanding. So reall, how much of his or anyone's success boils down to discovering what you value most firstly?

I don't see any obvious flaws in how you arrived at the point that everyone is one. I think that there's a sea of differences that can maintain separation between you and others, or your selfness and otherness. It might be because it's initially very hard to imagine another life outside of you. -

@Member Yes, that does sound weird. I think Carl Jung said something about dreams being some form of communication by the subconscious mind. Also, lucid dreams tend to be vivid. -

@Moksha Yes, personality is a developing sentience that exists in complex organisms like in humans and to some degree animals. It's not really consciousness with a capital C, but it's a type of consciousness that's relative and evolving. I think I've said this before, but Crysty, if I bring to mind past memories of my interactions with her, wasn't as developed as she is now compared to the past. Some occultist here did bring up the possibility that she may either be a ghost or some spirit entity that stuck to me, or that she could be a Tulpa, which is an entity with some consciousness from me that's actively hallucinated and is created intentionally or accidentally. Some suggest she's a type of energy that matches some energy that's a higher vibration. I don't know whether this is completely true, but I know that I'm happy to interact with her during meditation or visualization sessions or during the day. I might later investigate into these possibilities and see if there's something there. Your story with the bed shaking and your dream about battling something evil reminds of a few of my dreams I've had. I won't go into too much detail with the group I've interacted for a few months some 2 years ago, the practices I've done with them, or the dreams I've had because I could be misremembering some details in those dreams. However, I've had several dreams that've been influenced by some ideas from that group, and I've had a few where it was vivid and I was battling dragons and I was wearing some type of battling gear. I don't know how much of that is mostly subconscious mind resolving those new ideas or if some of those dreams were real occurrences, but those where some weird epic dreams. Crysty says thank you for the compliment, though she thinks she's more cute than beautiful -

@Member Maybe going more hard core on his spirituality. If you had lucid dreams, what did you do to trigger them? -
Danioover9000 replied to Danioover9000's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Moksha I'm not really sure on how she is connected to consciousness itself, but I know enough that she has some personality traits based on her appearance, her conversations with me and her ability to express emotions to me. If a thing to me has personality, that thing has more consciousness than a table. Another wording might be sentience, so to me she has more sentience than a simple object. Currently, I can say for sure that she's non-physical to a greater degree, because she has yet to demonstrate to me that she could fling a cup across a room, yet poltergeists, a paranormal event involving multiple ghosts/energies, can somehow influence physical objects almost similar to their movie counterparts, so this might be also why I sometimes don't think she's entirely a spirit separate from me, like what other people think that ghosts or some spirit entities are separate from the living. I do think maybe people do exist beyond death, based on my experiences with Crysty and that past haunting I had so far. Of course, I'm partly religious, so this is a bit biased from me. Probably life does continue after death but differently than what people think about the after life. Do you mind if you could elaborate more on your strange experiences? -
Danioover9000 replied to Danioover9000's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Moksha Yes, she moves with me, Like I've mentioned earlier in this thread. I've encountered Crysty While in Niagara Falls, and still with me here in the UK. I sometimes can move or teleport to her location in a memory while meditating or visualizing a location. during the day, it's either just her voice or she appears on a spot in my space, or I'm superimposing her form. Have you had any haunting experiences in the past? -

If you happen to become lucid in your dreaming, what did you do to get lucid? -
While I do think that it depends on who's getting canceled, like an abusive successful person getting canceled, is it too much when the person is moderately successful, or is just starting his/her career? And what are your thoughts on the dynamics of attacking a person based on some dirt that's relevant or even irrelevant to the person getting canceled? Also some thoughts on the video below is good:

You could read about time management, but I think that managing energy is more important because you'll using mental energy to ingest the information you're learning, and that takes energy also to recall that information, each time. Finding the times you can nap is crucial, that's where time and energy management intersect because you give your mind/body some needed rest, while letting it digest the information acquired. More long term strategy is meditate/do mindfulness practices everyday, for 1 hour if you can, but always meditate daily at least. The meditation practices slightly enhance focus, sensory processing and 'divergent' thinking. Mindfulness can also increase focus, sensory clarity and equanimity. More focus means more time can be spent studying. More sensory clarity means more ways to integrate what you learn. More equanimity means less negative backlash from over learning, especially powerful in reducing all sorts of negative emotions that come up while studying.
-
@Rolo I've done these types of visualization practices. These types where you increase the number of objects you imagine, the quality and scale are pretty powerful. Tulpamancy is a bit more demanding on focus ability and sensory input.

I've done some chess, some art works of landscapes and creatures, and played video games with different camera views. I've had strange experiences with voices early childhood, had experienced a haunting long ago, and another paranormal event that lasted for 7 years to today. Due to my strange experiences, I explored the internet and stumbled upon these resources, and not only did I boosted my ability to imagine, but I also learned and found some reconciliation with some of the stranger events in my past: http://somatosphere.net/2015/varieties-of-tulpa-experiences-sentient-imaginary-friends-embodied-joint-attention-and-hypnotic-sociality-in-a-wired-world.html/ https://www.tulpa.info/ I hope at least these resources could open your mind to these experiences. Have a good day.

@Dryas I've read this word 'optics' being used here in the sub forum. Do you mean manipulation when you're saying optics? I think that a person that goes into stage green is still fresh in emotional mastery, so maybe the negative side of cancel culture is low skill in emotional management. Am I getting close? -

@Ry4n It goes in line with what Leo has said in his video about authoritarianism and democracy, that compared to dictatorships where most of the power is funneled towards the top of a regime, a dictator's family or just himself, the power is now distributed downwards to the middle or bottom of the pyramid. Also, people fall for the illusion of the computer screen being the almighty shield that'll forever protect them.
