@Raptorsin7 I do agree that it might be too much context and nuance, but sometimes it's necessary to understand how outside factors shaped the situation that unfolded. Did you know that Kyle Rittenhouse was prevented from return to the blue lives matter group by police who're barricading that street, after Kyle wandered down the road to offer first aid to anybody hurt? That little outside factor implicitly allowed the situation to unfold. I do fundamentally agree this is a self defense situation and he acted in self defense, 75% agreement. The other 35% comes from how he could've handled the situation a better way, like shooting at the legs instead of the center of the body for example, but the situation that unfolded is what it is, and despite how I think he lack official gun training, he sure showed his skill of handling that rifle from playing 1st person shooter games like Call of Duty a lot. Other issues like vigilantism, gun laws and other relevant socio political issues I don't mind discussing if you want to or others want to. -
@bloomer Nah, I don't believe you. You are not a virgin loser. There's no such thing as a virgin loser when they're a bloomer. No way.

@Raptorsin7 It was unacceptable for him to be there because he had little training in handling his weapon, and for whatever reason, for a few moments, decided to patrol on his own without some members of the open carry group tagging along, which led to him getting chased by one of the three sd red rioters. whether he wanted to protect property, or was looking for trouble, he decided to split off instead of keeping close by to the group and that was one mistake. Also, part of the government did respond to the threat, the police force. All the police did at that time was hold the line, and enforced curfew. Most of the peaceful protestors left, but some of the sd blue to red protestors stayed, which the police forced them using some teargas and their vehicles onto the direction of the right wing groups like the blue lives matter group. Whether they knew the Blue group was in that direction or not is up for debate. The alternative to individual citizens policing their own private properties is to have bigger, and more efficient government, like a version of the Chinese government, great surveillance systems and slightly better in responding and managing civil unrest, but mu rights might be infringed too much, and mu amendments might have to change a bit, so with that said, the Americans have the government system they have, which isn't the greatest, but they can at least offer insurance coverage, and you also have the right to sue each offender for damaging your property later and whatever crimes they did to you. Ideally, we have an A.I run government, Matrix style, but we get so triggered by China style government we are not ready for Robo Cop patrols yet. How I would personally expected Kyle to handle the situation? I think he did alright, given the current situation, and handled himself in that combative situation well for someone with little training. Taking into account the other factors in that day, not just the Kyle incident, he would have done better if he stuck with the blue movement group, or paired up with a member. Ideally, some military experience and handling situations like this, past experience or pre planned, I think he would have avoided escalating the entire situation on his end. I can't say the same for the protestors who broke curfew, also the blue lives matter group who did break curfew too. I also think that the leaders of both of the movements should bear more responsibility by planning and organizing their movements and being strategic, making minimal mistakes like screening out their own members for more tendencies for violent behavior and have them stay in the main group, keeping their bad apples more in check. I view the Kyle situation as self defense, and would still charge him with some degree of manslaughter as he did take a life in self defense. Funnily enough, this is actually a person who thinks he's stage blue acting blue values, but is really acting out stage red fantasy of potentially killing some protestors, responding to toxic elements of red, looting and rioting, in a protest. Be honest, you can't handle the truth of being the fox when you think you're the chicken lol. But seriously, you view is partially true. The following videos do illustrate some consequences of why civilians, well trained, should conceal carry, and a video about the entire day. and -

A tulpa is an actively hallucinated being that is semi conscious, has personality traits, and is capable of communication, mental verbal and or emotional. Once again, this is to make a distinction between tulpa and ghosts, spirits, non physical/ transparent aliens, and other supernatural paranormal phenomena. Also, feel free to share stories about your paranormal experiences. -
@hyruga Noice lol! Those emeralds are similar to what my best friend has, but a bit lighter. They do look nice, but I'm a sapphire person more than an emerald.

@Knowledge Hoarder One of the most interesting benefits to harder versions of nofap is the health and spiritual benefits. I can speak only for myself and a few, but on this most people just starting out will struggle a bit, as it is helpful to have some meditation and focusing experiences before going to harder versions. Just doing the no nut November challenge, and reducing over excessive masturbating throughout the seasons is a good plus for most people, especially the strongly addicted. But yes, if some of you want deeper spirit and health, the longer the celibacy the better, done alongside other tools for personal development, spiritual development ect.

@Raptorsin7 Of course personal responsibility is important, why wouldn't it be important? Eventually, even if circumstances were enough to instill personal responsibility, or not, some people learn it sooner or later by living. I hope the disagreement is coming from nuance, not black and white thinking. -
@Emotionalmosquito Don't worry, ten days is a decent run. There's always do or die December, the hardcore version of no nut November, not even a single sexual thought is allowed.

@Jacob Morres Coral is, you know, what's under the sea.

@actuallyenlightened Accurate description of coral.

@SQAAD I definitely agree with @Michael569 on the oatmeal Oatmeal can be very filling. Steel cuts oats are the best ones I heard, whole oats and then the ones Quakers make. If you don't have nut allergies, peanut butter goes nicely with oats. Get skimmed milk to start, and work you way to milk alternatives.

@Knowledge Hoarder I guess the report was a bit slow.

@Raptorsin7 Typical days of emotional manipulation and marketing in such a way to increase polarisation. A better branding would be restructure the police rather than defund the police, that way in doesn't trigger as much resistence to some sensible changes. @ForestLuv had the idea as well. -

@DocWatts Police reforms are sensible, but I don't think police defunding is. The change in infrastructure of police would require better police education, training in more efficient self defense and behavioral calibration, adding infrastructures like access to social workers with experience dealing with highly mental/emotionally unstable people tag along with police units in call ins with a higher probability of dealing with such people based on the caller's report, better quality of equipment, mental/emotional/healthcare for the police members who are at higher risk of over stress. All those changes and more REQUIRE FUNDING. Defunding the police unfortunately will make the process of change more slower, not faster. I also think, which could be too simplistic here, that some kind of meditation program, use of background noises that induces slight forms of calming, maybe micro psychedelic doses (in a legal and clinically supportive setting) afterwards could help a lot for both the police and those they interact with. It's a bit of a stretch, and even this needs money as well... -

@Preety_India @Opo @DnoReally @Arcangelo Let's rewind a bit from the point of the incident. if it's self defense from the point of view from the rioters that attacked him, then why were they following and chasing Kyle? Is this another form of self defense, to follow and keep provoking a person clearly open carrying an assault rifle? Because from my understand it's self defense when you are defending yourself from an approaching attacker, and it's unusual for it to be considered self defense when the reverse is happening. It's not like they just happened to know Kyle open carrying a rifle out of the blue, The people involved in the incident, the three rioters, were also present several minutes prior to the incident, protesting and shouting at a group of armed men in cameo gear and rifles, and Kyle was among them, and they see and have interacted with him, had a few exchanges with him, back and forth, which did escalate the situation and the group prior, so it's highly likely it's pre meditated for them to follow and give chase, not just to Kyle, but to anyone from that group that separated and wandered off alone. Also keep in mind you never know what's going on in the minds of Kyle, the three rioters that chased him, the group of protestors the rioters came from, and the group that Kyle was apart off. Most of what is said about their behavior, thinking and feelings are largely assumptions, both at the gun group and at the protestors, Kyle and the three included. Some of the motivations are politically motivated to a degree. The group carrying the guns went to that area in response to the few rioters and looters in the BLM movement destroying public/private property and business stores. They decided to be there as a form of protest against the looting and property damage that was occurring, and to show some support for the police in that area in their own distorted way. Yes, Kyle is in the wrong if he's in a different state with different gun laws, but the three that decided to escalate the chase and increase the provocation, and the one that decided to assault Kyle and go for his weapon, is also equally in the wrong, just like the gun group is in the wrong, and the protestors were in the wrong for not screening out the few that would riot, loot and attack anyone defending property. The three that decided to escalate the situation are also in the wrong for doing so. Kyle discharge in reaction to the person trying to go for the weapon, and had little time to chose other ways of defending himself, and where to shot. The same person that used a skateboard, as a weapon, against Kyle, knowing full well he was armed. The end result was that person is dead from choosing to attack Kyle, and Kyle surviving that altercation. Another of the three attempted to shot at Kyle as well, making the situation more worse. Keep in mind the majority of the public at that location consisted mostly of BLM protestors, and the three looters that followed Kyle. Just those three and some passerby's were present. Keep in mind, this could play out similarly to the O. J. Simpson case, which is that they found him not guilty, but later after many years find hi guilty, from the exact crimes or other offences, so it might be that way. -

@Opo First policy of gun reform, all guns gradually get replaced with air softs. -
Danioover9000 replied to eTorro's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
@Arcangelo Sounds fair enough. I would've prosecuted both sides, the rioters fined for the total damages of property and some jail time. Kyle would've been found guilty, but a lesser manslaughter sentence of 5 years, out at 2 for good behavior, and bail set to 100,000$. If it's up to me I would punish both sides. -
