@hello1234 Have you read the forum guidelines, or have you put yourself in your own ignore list, to not notice your are breaking some of those guidelines? -

@Preety_India Not absolutely sympathize with him, I can understand and sympathize 20% of what he is in terms of the other factors involved, but I mostly don't sympathize with him overall. More important is empathy than sympathy. I have some empathy, but not enough to be blindsided. Do you also sympathise or empathize with what he's doing, at least in the understanding level? -

@hello1234 Yes, everyone here knows and notices your getting too emotionally triggered and defensive to talk about the Ukraine/Russia conflict. Who wants to engage with someone who is too defensive and close minded to not consider both sides of the issue and more, and have hostile language? If you can't learn to be open minded, be open to learning from different perspectives, tone down your hostile language, be less dogmatic and debatable and more conversational and discursive, and behave yourself, then don't be surprised when you get kicked out. Leo gave you fair warnings before. -

@Preety_India Just like you stated in another thread, about nuclear warfare, what you would do. You're don't have preferences for fighting and killing, so you prefer to hide and shelter in a bunker. But another person might love fighting and killing, and would be out there at the forefront fighting. That thought and feeling is self bias. You were basically having a preference against some elements of stage red in that hypothetical. It's also a psychological development modal, so self bias is in it. -

@PurpleTree I condemn Putin and his strategic decision of war against Ukraine. However,I make this condemnation knowing that I'm biased against stage red, against Russia because my worldview and indoctrination stems from the western world and western cultures/values, that my cognitive and moral development is higher than the majority of Russians and Putin's, that my personality type allows it, that my states of consciousness and being allows me to safely condemn his actions, that my level of empathy has a limit to even this, and that my general and specific life experiences and domains of mastery are such that there's too much of a difference between my life experiences versus that of Putin's and the average low/mid/upper class Russian. How many people are willing enough to say these disclaimers before going down an emotional outrage against this situation, that they are biased with their condemnation? Close to zero, and even more so when face to face with other people. -

This thread has everything under the sun, demonising, name calling, blaming, close mindedness. Stage green triggers, not willing to be open or learn from other perspectives. This thread has some pretty good examples to study from. -

A good analysis of this situation overall: Ultimately, depending on your values, cognitive and moral development, personality traits, states of being, and various life experiences, almost every person has different fears. To Putin, If Ukraine joined NATO, it's a real and serious threat to Russia, because trying to defend a land invasion from NATO, through Ukraine, is very difficult due to the flat topography. If Ukraine belonged to Russia, Russia establishes a choke point to defend itself from a land invasion. You can demonize Putin, but don't lose the understand of his perspective and take for granted what real fear is to him. He is in a state of being and emotion that is fear and insecurity, from potential aggression from NATO, right next to Moscow. It's not a great feeling. -

Everyone, this here is a great example of what stage green looks like when triggered. -
@Preety_India Social media marketing and networking, gotcha.

Especially from freelancers and small businesses owners, how did you brainstorm for your own marketing strategy? Does it have to be directly in line with what you do?

@vizual Thanks for the post. I already know my mission statement, my generalised purpose, my specialised purpose, my ten year mastery path, my top ten values, my top 5 feelings, my top 5 strengths, my zone of genius and already did some year resolution goals. I'm still not sure what my ideal medium is, like I want to be an illustrator, but I also want to be a comic book artist, but I also want to be a writer, but I want to be a video game player. I'm even more unsure what my ideal consumer base is, to align that with what I do. If I'm an illustrator, and do landscape type genres, I don't know what that caters to. I know id I became a comic book whatever, that caters to mostly late teens demographic, but I want to include more mature themes, and still feel like I'm doing an illustration almost per page, like it's a monthly release comic book versus a weekly release. Going indie or freelance is good, but I still don't know enough.

@puporing Like put out cold emails, maybe online ads? Or join a website and draw for free for sometime, but later start charging costs?

@Carl-Richard I think I want to say that, is that both the giver and receiver in that communication, should exercise careful communication, and be sensitive to the liability of the communication. Meaning that, if in the convo, I passionately talk about an alternative medicine's potential of likely predicting the likelihood of a virus, that I clarify, immediately or at the end of the convo, that that shouldn't replace proper treatment. On the reciever's end, that would mean that you should be more careful of how, given other factors like worldview, value system, cognitive patterns of thinking, moral frame works, personality type, sense making mind, the state of being/consciousness one is in, and general to specific life experiences so far, that to not jump to conclusions too quickly. -

@Carl-Richard It's definitionally a treatment method, for horses, less so for human beings. What I'm trying to say, is that Dr. K was giving a strong impression of the potential usefulness of Ayurvedic medicine, an ancient medicinal practice, to the current situation with Covid. Specifically, he was making a prognosis claim, but delivering that in such an assuring way gives the false impression that if the prognosis is accurate, is likely probabilistic, therefore the modal has some degree of validity of dealing with Covid, which is what I'm pushing back at, thinking that a likely prognosis equals also successful treatment is and can sometimes be misleading and dangerous. But this is an entirely sub issue detracting a bit from the key issue: Dr. K's guilt, or not, of blurring the lines of when it's officially a therapy session, to having a therapeutic like conversation with people. -

@Ananta Of course, depending on what stage, cognitive and moral development, personality type, states of consciousness and life experiences, some people relate more or less. Since Putin's and Trump's value systems are similarly in stage red, blue and orange, they respect each other to some degree, but keep in mind that Putin's experiences in leading Russia ruthlessly outweighs whatever experiences of leadership Trump has. I think the timing of Putin's decision to invade was too late. It probably would've been better to do so on the last year term of Trump's presidency. -
@MarkKol Well, sometimes when somebody is so committed to their vision and passions, and had put in the years of time and effort into training the skills needed, sometimes they seem misguided, but it's just a difference in perspective, world view, values, cognitive and moral development, personality types, trans states and states of consciousness, and general and specific domains of life and domains of mastery. One good example, is in the manga industry and looking at what mangakas go through. Some say it's voluntary slavery due to the below average payments that most mangaka receive, yet somehow in a mangaka's mind, they are able to motivate themselves to do their serialized work everyday, sometimes willingly sacrificing parts of their life for their work, which if someone was an outsider looking in, looks like wage slavery, but from the inside lookjng in, depending on their psychological development and narrative, looks like it's necessary. Depending on how their mind internally represents this domain in their sense making apparatus, how much experience they have, what states they are in and manage while doing the work, how aware they are kf their personality, how they think and what they value in their worldview, The Japanese culture tends to have a bias for collectivism versus individualism, so as a result, if you ask most Japanese, and moat people who are brought up in an eastern culture, and ask how they view themselves in their mind, the average answers tends to be in 3rd point of view, rather than 1st point of view, which is almost the opposite direction of the average answers if asking people of western culture backgrounds.

@MarkKol I can relate, sometimes I'm like what's the point of art? Is this actually a good field for me? Is this aligned with my life purpose? My vision for my life? Do I want to get payed in this field? Is this realy my deepest passion? Is this really fixing and filing in what's missing in the world? Why are fields related to S.T.E.M more impactful than other forms of art? Bill Gates developed his skills early on, but also is inspired by Leonardo da Vinci, and I'm sure sometimes he would motivate myself from time to time, viewing art works. I think that's one of the purposes behind the existence of art pieces, and how they impact the world. They impact the world by inspiring viewers to one day be creators, and to keep reminding people that they are alive, not robots. Also helps develop and strengthen visualization skills, to the point you can 3d model anything in your mind Erotic art is one extreme example, it is quite impactful in reminding you of your human nature to perv.

@Carl-Richard He did say that Ayurvedic personality typology has a likelihood of predicting your chances of getting Covid, but in saying that so happily and confidently, he gives the false impression that Ayurveda can alsk be a treatment alternative for Covid, just like Joe Rogan giving a false impression that Ivermectin can treat Covid virus, when in fact it can't because it is anti parasitic not anti viral. Ayurveda medicine is ancient holistic medicine from India, has some roots in Hinduism, but nothing about it is prescriptive of treating Covid. This is blatantly irresponsible to not give a follow up verbal disclaimer that this is not a prescriptive approach to handling Covid, so because of that some fans of Dr. K might think that only Ayurveda medicine. Ayurveda medicine, like all alternative medicine, has it's proper place and time of application, but not specifically for Covid. It also plays into the war between stage orange/blue western medicine and stage green alternative medicine, which further encourages dogmatic efforts. -
@John Paul You don't see the relevance of life experiences? So, when you see two people who date, and you know that one guy had a few dates and is a virgin, but the other guy had dated and been in different relationships for 10 plus years, doesn't that line of development matter?

@Carl-Richard Not hard to imagine the big deal. One thing to give an analogy, but another to assume thag is 100% treatment against Covid. That's one implication. -
Danioover9000 replied to Danioover9000's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
And a separate issue, but Dr. K claiming that Ayurveda can predict your chances of getting Covid??? I know that Ayurvedic medicine is one of the oldest holistic medicinal practices, but it's the same modal that used to recommend consuming certain metallic pills for certain ailments, but to me it's irresponsible to suggest that such a practice is enough to handle Covid. Like really?
