@Rokazulu I don't see how it's connected to the mainthread, like is it tbe free speech issue? The misinformation in internet? Mostly from CNN and other reputable sources, and a few from my own direct experience. Also had an Uncle who caught Covid 3 times, the first 2 times he never had a vaccine, got it when he went bike riding in the Scotland area when this virus was spreading, and suffered terribly. The third time was after he was vaccinated twice and experienced much less suffering from the virus, but the virus was so bad it may have traumatized him. It ain't no cold or flu.

Well, it seems circular, in that jealousy and envy, as an emotion, signals a lack of quality, behaviour or material circumstance that a envious person perceives when the person sees another person has that which they lack. In this context, It's the power play and not wanting the actual penise itself, because most women in history were subordinate to men, creating this power dynamic between the two that makes women, actually, crave to gain more power, but in their own way. Also, Freud's brother was the one who influenced much and is the progenitor of making the foundations of marketing the predatory aids we mostly see today.

@Rokazulu Vaccines give a spoiler warning to the immune system to be ready for the virus,whatever kind the vaccine is based on. 10 plus years later for studies for each case, fully, partly or no vaccines to show how vaccines prevent increases in covid deaths. Leo isn't saying the vaccine will make you immortal against Covid, he's saying the vaccine lowers the death toll significantly. We will have to wait in the future for further research. BTW, why have we strayed so far off the maintopic of the thread?

@bejapuskas Unfortunately, we are heading to intergrate into some kind of multiculturalism whether we want to or not, so ideally those immigrants should assimilate mostly and quickly into the culture they are living in and be of value somehow, otherwise why leave your homeland to immigrate to a foreign country if you mostly don't want to assimilate? Of course it'll happen gradually because of lingering attachment and some resisting the changes, but ultimately that's a losing battle.

@thisintegrated Is this who you really want to be? The guy stuck in the rut? What if, instead of those objects and situations making you feel boring, you were actually willing the bordem in your mind? What if you were withholding that excitement, curiousity and happiness, from yourself, because you feel like you didn't do enough to reward yourself those states of emotions?

Taking a big picture view, the big question, is should we care more or less about an individual issue while a collective issue is unfolding? For example, there was a case about a missing child in America. The detectives decided to use a construction of what the child might look like and hse the news to broadcast that image in hopes of getting a call from some potential witnesses. At the end of the case, the father was found guilty of torturing the child to death. However, during the case, 9/11 happened and most of America was gearing towards the Iraq war, and the detectives couldn't use mainstream news outlets at that point despite being scheduled for the broadcasting. In one perspective, if you were an American, who had a family member or friend killed during 9/11, that person and many others would care more about resolving that event, but on the other hand, if you were related to the missing child, or if you were the detective trying to solve that case, in this perspective the missing child takes priority. However, how can we handle these differing and conflicting perspectives?

What's great about being a journalist is that there's a clearer bias when it comes to reporting and taking anecdotes from other sources. Also being a paranormal investigator as a side project is that you don't fully know what you're getting into, the story or rumoured location of paranormal phenomena might turn out either false, or true but differently to what was told to you.

@D2sage there's a balancing act between immigration, multiculturalism and segregation. Sometimes areas may need more immigrants living more compacted, other areas they need to be spread out.

Ultimately, politics and political stuff isn't satisfying at all. You are damned if you do, damned if you don't, and never will satisfy everyone in the long run. Too much polarisation.

@Carl-Richard Yes, Glink's points felt like he just copied and pasted talking points made from the Nofap movement, spirituality new age movements. Maybe that's why it sounded clumsy and dull because those points were made before so many times, but it sounded, compared to how Mr. Girl speaks, more smooth and fluid. If anything, it's Mr. Girl's fractured speaking, and habit of interrupting another person's speaking to finish his statements or sentences. I'm more surprised that Glink was ok with Mr. Girl and another panelist's rebuttal example of the hard drugs metaphor, and including psychedelics in the example. I would've pushed back in that instance because it's not accurate and productive. If I was steelmanning his argument, even if this is rhetorically risky, if he did really care for these porn addicts he should have corrected Mr. Girl by bringing up LSD and it's use in the 12 step program, if asked.

@thibault Ultimately, we can only hope for the best as a society. But as a person, you can make little changes to your life here and there, to eventually lead the good life.

@Aldrich The ultimate goal is realizing what consciousness actually is, realizing god. At the end of the day, Frank Yang, Leo Gura, Connor Murphy or Connor Mcgregor, and all other spiritual teachers are wrong. You have to sort of reclaim your authority you've given away to these spirit people, and ultimately lead the good life, however that is to you.
