@something_else why? I don't see how this one little incident leads to the entire conservative party in the UK collapsing. What makes you think it'll be rainbows if all the right collapses, without a check and balance to more idealistic policies of the left?
-
@zurew So what's the point he's making? About deepfake, or is he criticizing Actualized.org in some way?
-
@Ulax Not sure if it's going to be a general election. Even though Boris Johnson had to resign due to him choosing poorly an MP, that doesn't mean it'll result in some nation wide election, it'll just be some local election instead.

@kray How is it?

@mr_engineer It'll still depend on many factors like value systems, cognitive and moral development, psychology, state of being, life experiences and other lines of development. Or, the politicians don't value as much in stage green and above, and value stage orange/blue values a lot more. Why? Because stage blue values offers more group cohesion than stage green, and stage orange is more practical, realistic and materialistically oriented than the airy, new agey hippie stage green values. You can say and share opinions about a nice future, speak of humanitarianism, environmentalism, human rights for all, animal welfare, but when it comes to actually following through and trying to be practical and utilitarian, try to convert those ideals into physical reality, that's when the rubber meets the road, and sadly most efforts tend to fail, and leaving you desiring more stage blue/orange stability than stage green idealism. Also, it's not just one or two bad politicians, it's hundreds to thousands of them, in a limited environment incentivized to lie to each other, from strategic lying to malicious lies, all for the sake of preserving their jobs. You will feel that pressure to participate in the strategic lying, or else face a short career in the office. -

I know that when a creator dies, whatever work he/she leaves behind wouldn't matter to the founder, but that work will go on to impact the world in some way, and sometimes your creation will end up getting corrupted. I don't see a way to mitigate this type of corruption. Do you? -

@Razard86 That's true, I wasn't building a case for originality, I was building a case for why reactionary YouTube channels, whose content creation is merely reacting to another content, is leeching off value and harming smaller creators in the process, stealing their potential views, viewers and subscribers because their reactions are more entertaining than the original content that was made, so why should you view the original when you can head over to Asmongold, some other big react channel and view the content through them rather than the smaller content creators? See how it hurts small creators? Yes, a remix is not original, but far worse, it's a regurgitation of other content too similar with some differences. A remix is mixing content again, were we once again mix the mixture around some more, and then some more, until what spark it originally had is lost over time by layers of interpretations of not just my or your perspective, but other people's too. However, I could weaponize remixes, and say that I was just doing a remix of your content, why are you so triggered? I was just remixing bro. See how I could justify my plagiarism of your content by calling it a remix, and leech off you? I guess how we both define uniqueness and originality is different and that's why we are jarring each other's perspectives. How I define originality is technically originality exists because it came from GOD and simultaneously is GOD. It's a piece of GOD, and the whole GOD. Both part and the whole, every part of art is also a whole domain of art. Uniqueness is similar except it's more focused on your character traits rather than the services or products you are making, that uniqueness is like your unique print you leave behind that gives your art it's special flavor in creation, that makes your art distinctly yours alone that's extremely difficult to replicate. The entire thread is more about react YouTubers and their harm on other smaller content creators in their fields, not some philosophical or metaphysical discussion of originality. -
What are your thoughts about those thst do reaction videos?

@kray I might be wrong, but were the Yakuza chill with Abe? I don't see how this could help them, as Abe was out of office for a long time. -

@Razard86 Yes, I understand a little bit from the spriritiual level. I'm just speaking on the relative and practical domains, that on those levels below there is such a thing as originality and uniqueness, which in most cases provides massive value to other people. However, that value takes time, like trying to teach and layout your knowledge and concepts you learnt as an artist, in some book or video content. However, you found out that some other artist or other profession not only spoke or written on the same topic, but also copied your layout and presentation style, that you've invested hundreds of hours coming up with. How do you think and feeling knowing someone is copying you, and a person who's well established and successful in that field too? Now scale that up, and you get what we're getting with reactionaries leeching off of other content creators. -

@TurquoiseAngel From what I can interpret from her, she says if you want to help yourself, keep on staying positive even in times of trouble, as to her being positive deals with most negative entities, like shadow beings or naughty ghosts as they prey on energies that matches theirs. So, keep on loving yourself. From me, I'd say to practice meditation, and mindfulness with labelling by Shinzen Young on those triggers if they're mild to moderate negative. Also psychotherapy helps a bit, not like contemplation, but you have a second outside perspective on your situation. If you are experiencing strong negative thinking/feelings, and have a history of mental disorders or mental disorders of the chronic type, go seek professional help and therapy. While I may have spiritual potential as a psychic or medium, I'm not qualified or have professional level psychic/medium skills. I'm just sharing my paranormal experiences. There are others who are better than me at this over at Yelp for example. -

As a career choice, it's around the bottom of the list of careers I'd specialize in, as I don't see myself just reacting to other content creators. It's almost as bad as getting cuckolded to me, why you gotta do this to yourself when you can provide that content, of your own making? Not even online debating while playing online video games is appealing to me. -

For, example, I'm not a musical genius, more a visual minded person, but a music came to me in one of my dreams, and the instrumentals were not of this earth, it's really weird arrangement of sounds that's also pleasing to hear, but I haven't found any musical patterns yet to match up with those mental sounds. Then my mind didn't like this state of unknown, so off it went designing things to try and make sense of those sounds. Very interesting to me, seems like a unique pattern to me. -

@Razard86 No, surely there's some originality and uniqueness? I get it with video content and other art forms, but what about your body? Yes, there's an evolutionary history there where you've sourced your genes and materials and so, but right now you have a uniqueness not matched by 8,000,000,000 or so humans on earth, or other life forms like animals, insects, reptiles, sea life. You are unique enough to not be a cloud, or an alien. An A.I will still have problems copying you completely. -

@thenondualtankie Personally the farthest in my childhood I felt extreme passion are dinosaurs and video games. There was a time when I was failing at video games and it sucks, but there were images in my head for what I wanted in those games, even though they were short term, they re energized me to keep going until I could pick up a PlayStation console of any version, of any game control, and within minutes be playing really well. Likewise with dinosaurs, although it's mainly the Jurassic Park movies, but a few dinosaur documentaries and how the art was made to depict them was enough to overcome the boredom of me reading through scientific books on dinosaur fossils and other very technical terms, I didn't know then that it really was just the artwork and not the other heavy logic formats that presented those dinosaurs that I was resonating to. I guess it all depends on your life experiences so far, other lines of development in your other areas of life, states, personality type, cognitive and moral development and stages of development you are at that helps you further hone in on what you're passionate about. I'm really good at walking and eating, am I super excited and passionate for my walks and foods? Not really, unless I'm identified as and in states of being that align with those interests, like being a fit person or being a chef, then maybe I would be but it's so effortless and easy for me that it's no longer super exciting and passionate to admire my ability to walk around the garden, or to tongue around the foods in my mouth. So, there's an active shifting balancing act between difficulties, like easy, normal and hard mode. You'll have to elaborate on that bleakness for me, what do you mean? -

Danioover9000 replied to Extreme Z7's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
@mr_engineer It's complicated. Depending on many factors like stages of development, cognitive and moral development, psychographic make up of a culture, states, life experiences and other lines of development increases in inflation could be good for some situations when you need more money, but on other situations pro inflation could make other areas of society worse. There's also differences in governance between the USA and Japan, so we have to be careful not to project American style government onto other countries. -
