Nice drawing of a person on a cliff, I think the artist is using graphite. Despite the sped-up video, you can observe that he is drawing literally, that kind of drawing style similar to drawing from observation, or what masterful artists in the past would say: 'draw what you see, not what you know.'. I will be breaking this quote down as it's too simplistic to me, and I can see many misunderstandings from this quote, one misinterpretation would be that it would be bad to draw from what you know, instead from what you're seeing, or experiencing. This isn't that case, requiring more context to be built to understand this quote properly, because for me I can draw both what I'm observing in the external world, and in my memories, or in my internal world.

A journal about my progress, and how I use perspective lines and golden ratio, golden sections and camera angles to draw stuff. And other bits about drawing.

@MarkKol Nice post, I agree with most of your points, on the mainstream standards of SD orange and blue standards of business and marketing and selling mangas and anime in general, is just a standard, and then some to a few works, because of those similar standards of repeating themes and production and quality, some of those works like BERSERK, VEGABOND, VINLAND SAGA, Death Note, do stand out. Although with Demon Sayer, I don't think it's good, story is abysmal and it's animation quality is mediocre, but it's a product of mostly the right time in the market and right geopolitical climate, as most countries have to be isolated due to corona virus, so because of that one event, anime watchers and manga readers went shopping online for the series, breaking sales records. However, it's overall a bad series and has bad premises. However, I'm not sure if the Japanese writing/studios, manga and animation industries, are creatively bankrupt. If you brought up western comics and animation studios and story making, especially DC/Marvels/Image works, then the comparison clearly shows that the Japanese equivalents are far more ahead in terms of diversity and creativity, especially with organizing and cataloging each manga and anime they do, compared to their western counterparts. BTW, Steve Jobs is mainly the marketing man with a vision, but the majority of apple's technical engineer and design came from Steve Wozniak. The majority of the work is done by Steve Wozniak, while the marketing and sales pitch by Steve Jobs. While I do partly agree that with little knowledge, it forces you to think deeper and come up with more original ideas, I think the knowledge, learning and research into the technical details is just as important, and in some parts of the creative process, more important to do. So, this hypothetical genius in the future, that would revolutionize the anime/manga industry, has to be both a visionary and marketing genius, while being very knowledgeable and intimately know the processes that make anime and manga, or it's a small team the revolutionizes the industry.

@peebz Two big points that are far more problematic than your take on pornography itself, in any society: When you, or a group of people mindlessly consume content, through time, develops into compulsiveness to consume more content. When the mind starts to generalize and distort what's actually there, to limit the diversity eliminate the nuances of any one field into being an overall bad net negative to society, not just pornography. Also, like any other human field, pornography does not just have some bad or weird fetishes and kinks that it serves only, it also has other tags that either lean more to intimacy type, or domination type. Humans are, still, for the most part, animalistic on average, and some want to be submissive, some want to dominate. Pornography is also not limited to video formats, they include audio forms, magazine forms, comics, erotica, poetry, artworks in galleries and exhibits. I don't think that we are better off without pornography, and if you are well versed in world history, and human history, you'd laugh at yourself for being so disrespectful and short-sighted with yourself for what you just wrote. You'd be very glad that we have pornography in today's format, at least the crazy shit most people view is mostly acting in video, audio, or pictures or words written as poetry. 300 years ago, there were no videos, no sex ads in internet, no porn mags, no porn comics, no porn erotica, maybe poems, definitely not sex dolls or toys, maybe murals from ancient sites depicting pornographic postures, but largely a very simplistic world back then. That doesn't mean there were not perverts either, in fact the world was so simple, boring and much harsher, it forced most of those horny enough to act on those desires, on mostly real bodies of men and women, and children. -

@Kross That's in fact the deeper issue, is the compulsiveness and obsession that develops if mindlessly consuming any one medium or interest, which is not limited to porn. -

@Carl-Richard And good marketing sense, which further makes it harder to accurately peg him down. -
@rnd So, who's Biden then? Are you saying Biden is much worse, or much less bad? Are they really in the same boat in terms of negativity?

This thread, in my opinion, is a great showcase of straw manning and misunderstanding each side with little holistic thinking going on. Only 2 users here so far are able to discuss without getting dogmatic, and the rest act like rancid dogs. -
@Alex_R No fair! I wanna be a moderator too!

@thenondualtankie Absolutely. There's the Kabbalah, the tree of life, which also has the Greek gods and goddesses associated to each sphere. Then each sphere also has the planetary names to it. Each sphere also has its own tree of life, or Kabbalah, and the bigger Kabbalah we know of, is inside a sphere. -
You gamers and game developers especially should get the pun, part of it was an ad catch phrase, the word play is obvious.

I just found out today that another great artist has passed away from this video: Honestly, OMG, what the fuck is going on? Why are some of the most gifted and talented artists leaving early? I'm feeling a bit shocked, a little bit depressed, and pissed. I'll be doing some contemplations in private of how this is affecting me, as if you've also known from a past thread of mine, Kentaro Miura, another artist I looked up too as well, passed. I'm slightly reeling from the news, another talented artist died, so R.I.P Kim Jung Gi, you won't be forgotten to those whoo value your artworks and incredible ability to visualize in many perspectives. Reason I'm sharing this particular video, is for you to observe how a person's death effects another person, and this person just got news a day ago from recording the video. Observe how he handles it, how his mind is trying to manage the strong negative emotions he talks to the camera. I've seen enough of this artist's video of himself through Proko, that his personality type is more extroverted and logical, more rational than emotional. Because of the recent passing, it's likely that he's still feeling the shock and disbelief of the death, which effects his state of mind and being from the energetic and vibrant states he showcased in some of his demonstrations of his artwork. Notice how, to distract from this recent death, his mind wants to narrate and bring up other famous artist's death and distort and generalizes away from what he actually needs to do: Face that news of death head on and be mindful of those feelings and thoughts he is avoiding. Not to say that this coping mechanism is bad or wrong, I'm observing his reactions and through his tonality and body language and came to this conclusion, which could be wrong later on.

Died at age 47, of a sudden heart attack, very similar to some artists that had died. Jesus Christ. Here's another video of a livestream, of a doctor that explains some of this event: -
@Tyler Robinson This takes me back for some reason, thinking what I did when I was 14 years old, here I am in my late 20's, thinking 15 years into the past. Time really flies by. Back then, around age 14, I just landed in Montreal, Quebec, in Canada's country, arrived sometime in October-December, and spent the remaining months and next year homeschooling myself till I finally got into a public, bilingual French English school. My hobbies then were video games that are PS3, Nintendo Game Cube, PSP (PlayStation Portable), Nintendo Portable, few PC games, Badminton, Frisbee, Football, drawing, and reading.

@The Mystical Man Hellraiser was one of many inspirations for the BERSERK manga and 90's anime. Really good works of art and story with dark and mature themes.

What do you mean? The Ukraine that was, or the war between Ukraine and Russia? I don't see how either exposes stupidity. Stupidity has always been there anyways. -

@Medhansh Actually, the fun fact about a set of diamond weapons and armour had little to do with how too much pressure can be more harmful than good to a young male's mind. Just people think diamonds are indestructible and think they can make excellent sets of protection. No, they don't.
