@Bobby_2021 Yep, similar thing happened to Mr. Girl, due to the mass reporting against him. -

@Tanz They did go after Mr. Girl, with the shady mass reporting by Those other streamers. -

@Tanz So one negative outweighs the positives of a system? -
@StarStruck But I clicked on your hyperlink, it's fine. Oh wait, unless it's the imaging part, yeah sorry it's not displaying it LOL.

@Tanz That was what I was saying, that surveillance systems are needed, and you were saying the opposite of that. Yes data collection is important, but I don't know to what extent is it sold to other parties, or is just stored for future use. Obviously it's important, data collection of users or people, because, you know, if one person offends and does a criminal action, and the system has data on the one individual, can make tracking much quicker no? -
@StarStruck Your link is actually fine, I checked. I think Leo was joking.

@newbee Could you elaborate on my possible hypocrisy then? Claiming my post that answers your questions as dodgy, assuming my dodgy reply is to evade my own hypocrisy, claiming I'm making you dumb looking, and claiming that I'm appealing to over complexities, are a bunch of fallacies you are interpreting of me in a bad faith way. You are being uncharitable in how I communicated to you and how I communicated my answer to your question. Now you're stating that I need to learn more of the older history of Palestinians, the thousand year old Arab imperialism, Islamic history, oppressing and expelling the jews, these ae fallacious claims of me, which are bad faith, and appeals to a lack of specific knowledge base and lack of depth in knowledge is also a fallacy. I can say that most users here have varying degrees, depth and breadth of knowledge, of worldly history. Just because a person may lack one niche and specialized knowledge does not mean they are bad faith actors, but at least are pundits commenting on the state of some areas of the world. As I've stated, it's a very complicated issue to resolving the Israel/Palestine conflict, also because of the other neighboring tribes and countries in that region. I'm not viewing this conflicted one sided, I view in multiple sides. -
@StarStruck Basically, a guy who's bigger, versus a smaller yet well trained and skilled fighter.

@Tanz Oh no, the evil surveillance state! How am I to privately change my clothes, the evil pervy politicians, when they've tapped into my computers and my phones?!? Sorry, in comparison to a user messaging me that my pic was used as masturbation material, there's little comparison. Surveillance systems are needed, given the big population numbers and density per state, cities and even counties and towns. FBI and other criminal investigation cases do rely on CCTV footages showing mass shootings, kidnappings, theft, or other bits of information to track offenders, so no realistically we still need a surveillance system in place, just like we need a strong robust moderation system in this forum. There's good reason why we sometimes need regulation systems in check. Please keep your anti establishment anti mainstream biases in check. -

I will likely wait and see if this whole thing is going official, I mean official investigation into the matter. -

@Tanz In fact, best opportunity, if YouTube and those holders felt threatened, is to take down his channel for spreading covid-19 misinformation, and shadow ban him from YouTube, force him out to other video platforms or other social media sites. That's if they really are threatened, they could easily do just that, so why wait so long just to cancel him? -
Danioover9000 replied to Zedman's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
@Tanz If the YouTube business holders viewed Russel's Channel as a threat, why wait this long when they could've taken his channel down 5-10 years ago? Two very different contexts you're talking about. We're mainly talking of rape and speculating on Russel's guilty or not, and cancel culture. We're not talking about gun Channels or mass shootings like what? Why conflate the two different contexts? -
Danioover9000 replied to Zedman's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
@Jodistrict That could potentially be a factor, among other factors involved in this situation. This reminds me of another context with coverage of trans issues, and the question of whether it's mostly ideologically based and propagated via information and social media, versus actual gender dysphoria felt in that person? Science and psychology has yet to parse this ratio properly, plus due to the polarizing takes, both sides of the political wings will be close minded and dogmatic instead of taking a more centrist view of this specific issue. -

@Jehovah increases But good luck saying that to companies nowadays which are now incentivized to go for sound bits, sensational takes and over exaggerated points for clicks and views, thanks to how toxic the internet has become now. -
Danioover9000 replied to Zedman's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
@Alex M Which is problematic in the future, as it gives a false sense of self entitlement to one's opinions. The internet/online communities and digital culture is rotting most of the minds out at this point, too much information in fact too much misinformation in our current information landscape. -

@Tobia I feel like this is another example of how over consuming social media, internet and online culture/communities leads to increases in mental health problems of all sorts. From fake/false self image issues via beautifying image algorithms, ideological proliferation via forums, increases in ADD/ADHD and codependency of information intake and unhealthy Para socialization via Streaming formats, Twitch, Twitter, and Tik Tok, and increases of narcissism/sociopathy/psychopathy and neurosis from these social media sites, and a false expectation of entitlement to one's opinion. -

@Leo Gura This going to be a contentious event, which those with deep anti mainstream and anti establishment sentiments will spin off to support their narrative of less regulation. By YouTube capitulating to the mass reporting or hate mails they receive, sets a bad president for other companies. They should start giving clear, long explicit lists of behaviors in their policies that clearly break guidelines and policy, and maybe take inspiration from your forum guideline page. -

@Schizophonia Lying by omitting? -
Share some small YouTube Channels you come across that is high quality and not low quality: Leather Apron Club, IMO fits the high quality content makings: Reason why is because his Channel functions as an accountability, and power check for other smaller or bigger YouTube Channels. How he covers his topics, with analytics and research, and good valid arguments, gives added realism and checks popularity creep and hubris of those Channels in question to some extent. For a small content creator, and small Channel, how he communicates is good, which serves to me as a ecological check in the ecosystem of ideas that flow within YouTube. He is this good of a content creator, and arguer, that he even made Eric Weinstein attempt bad faith frames of him during the Joe Rogan podcast here, with little reasoning why he felt the need to mention him other than he felt he was right in his arguments: And many more videos this guy does is worth watching some.

This possibly a historic moment going forwards, grossly demonetizing from just hearsay. To be fair, this also happened to Mr. Girl's Channel, but it was mass reported for just one of his videos after his more emotionally charged opinion of Nick Fuentes. -

@newbee This quote is a binary statement. You're setting up a binary in which your mind is taking a complex topic like nationalism, ethnocentrism, even religious nationalism, and group conflict dynamics, and setting up this simplistic polarized binary of a loaded question like 'Why is it ok for some people(?) to be nationalistic, such as the Palestinians(thanks for the elaboration, we wouldn't know which group you're referring to) but not others?(implying that Israel's nationalism is unjustified, and saying 'not others' gives generalization to zooming out to include other country nationalisms as well.). This is basically an over simplification of this conflict, unless you can elaborate on the hypocrisy bit? The whole situation of the Palestinian/Israeli conflict is one of decades, overtime the Israel grows in power, militaristically and some economically, while developing political ties to America and others, meanwhile squeezing and shrinking the territory that Palestine and Palestinians can live in. Clearly, objectively to me, Israel is growing more in power than Palestine, so this conflict is asymmetrical and disadvantages the Palestinians. Just as asymmetrical as the Native American tribes versus the early European settlers. -

@LSD-Rumi Albeit when I did statement analysis on that text message at 8:56, it was a confusing and suspicious text, has language that is defensive but also a lot of presuppositions of Russell, I didn't like the wording, it's too much guessing statements and too much hubris from her side of the story.
