@Hardkill One reason is some people literally need to die. As in they are so entrenched in and benefit so much from the current system that they will exert a massive force to prevent change until the day they die. Once they die we can hope that their children are not as close minded.

Regarding all these discussions on transgenderism, I think it is much more useful to look at it from look at it from the larger transhumanist view, otherwise none of it makes any sense. If we assume that we are moving to an era where we are going to be pushing the limits of our bodies through electronic implants, genetic modifications and the like then we can assume that sports will move towards a single category where winning means having talent as well as the best technology much like Formula 1. Imagine cyborg fights, races in the sky, etc... If we think this is where the world is going then all these trans discussions make sense. Otherwise they don't. You decide.

I think there's a lot of toxic ideas being promoted in this thread rooted in fear and insecurity. I'm not criticizing that but I just want to make people aware that that is what it is. Regarding slavery, the most fundamental way you could look at it is "When I have no choice in my life but to do things that I don't want to do then I am a slave.". What is really important to notice is that being a slave is a mentality, it is not an external condition. It is possible that a slave picking cotton in colonial America could have felt freer and less of a slave than a CEO today who has debts and decides to end his life out of embarrassment. Can you see how freedom is paradoxical and not as physical as we would imagine ? Freedom is not a material situation, it is a state of mind. It's accepting your material conditions, realizing they are not required for your mental wellbeing and happiness that sets you free. The true slaves of the world are those who have deluded themselves into thinking that they will find their freedom in the pursuit of always more material pleasure and possessions. Going back to that original definition I gave, since slavery is when you are forced to do what you don't want then it is your desires that enslave you. If you let go of your desires then you can never be a slave because there is nothing you would want that someone could prevent you from having. Take the Spirituals that African slaves would sing in plantations. This is a genre of a music that has influenced so many subsequent waves of music in America like blues, soul, gospel, jazz, and hip-hop. Just contemplate that cultural influence for a minute and imagine going back in time and telling a racist slave owner and explaining to him that one day his slave's songs would be recognized as some of the deepest expressions of human suffering and experience. He would laugh at you. Sometimes it is the master who is slave to shortsighted ideas and the slave who is able to catch a glimpse of the eternal.

@A_v_E Yeah I agree that we need to be more Orange focused in our evolution because our culture has had Green ideals for hundreds of years. I think it's obvious to anyone who knows French culture at all that we are idealistic first and pragmatic last. I also don't think we need a Bernie Sanders but I do wish we had an equivalent, not someone who stands for the same things as Bernie but someone who is a serious candidate with radical ideas relative to the field, deeply rooted in love rather than personal ambition or narcissism.

I think we all agree here that these far right nationalist movement are a form of ego backlash on the scale of a country. I see lots of criticism, disappointment and general negativity regarding these events. I sometimes wonder if we're missing the point : when in my own life I notice my ego acting up, I always think "What have I neglected ? What have I willfully ignored recently ?". In our Western democracies I think our sins are easy to point out : lack of transparency, lack of democratic representation throughout society, increased centralization of power into the government-corporation-media trifecta. From our point of view these problems are resolved by implementing stage Green and beyond solutions. From the stage Blue point of view, these problems have been brought about by a degeneration of society and an abandonment of the stage Blue values. In France specifically I am shocked to see that the candidates most accurately depicting our nation's issues are the far right candidates. Of course right after they have correctly identified our issues they insert their boiler plate racism as a solution. While for the American election I thought Bernie Sanders was an exceptionally advanced candidate, I see no equivalent in France. Mélenchon, unlike Bernie, is much more of a schemer, much less authentic. He is also anti-EU like the far right. All of the left in France has torpedoed itself by leaving all the serious issues to Macron and the far right as they would much rather talk about whether university students should be allowed to ban white people from non-white meetings. The French motto is "Liberté, égalité, fraternité", "Liberty, equality, brotherhood". Everyone has their favorite of those three, mine is brotherhood. If we cannot see those who voted for a far right candidate as our brothers then we can never change their minds.

Hey there, in almost every other aspect of society I would get behind you on such arguments. However, being an experienced psychonaut yourself, I don't understand how you can expect Leo to take this into consideration and adapt his teachings from them. I watched your video saying Leo had gone off the deep end and to be honest I definitely felt like that too. Some of his content is very close to the edge for YouTube. However what I don't understand is that when pressed, Leo has gone into all the nuance you need to make it clear that he is sufficiently grounded. You then use this "the criticism was valid" phrase to reduce the complexity of the situation to a simple black and white distinction. "Was I right or was I wrong ?". I'm open to hearing any criticism of Leo but here you just come across as trying to push your perspective on others. Take a hit of DMT and I'm sure you and Leo can be best buddies.

What about Dr. Alok Kanojia ? More of a psychiatrist or more of an enlightened master ?

I'm not an expert on the subject but from my understanding it is exactly as you described. So stage green values are something like "Human lives and human relations above all" which is an evolution from orange of "Success above all". He is a psychiatrist and does self help material which would imply that he values human lives and human relations, his entire business hinges on the fact that he projects a strong stage green image implicitly, it's almost taken for granted that he "cares about you" from his career choices like being a psychiatrist and doing self-help. However the conscious message he spreads is essentially "it's fine if you don't care about others, you have the right do so". Basically his success comes from a part of himself that cares about every human life, even BLM and trans activists, but he doesn't integrate that part of himself to take conscious control of it and promotes a political message based on the exclusion of those people and justifies it to himself through the stage orange values of "My content and message is successful so it must be valuable, the market is king".

Damn that sucks, I propose this metaphorical gravestone for him in that case. Let us grieve this fellow meaning-warrior and move on from this tragedy.

I'd never seen it this way. But I guess that means he is an excellent case study for budding mystics who will study him and just go : what's that huge fucking shadow he's got there, I better integrate that shit Also, what does a stage Yellow shadow look like, anything to look out for ? @Leo Gura What do you think of Ken Wilber's view that JBP is an integral thinker with some existential anger problems ? I mean the man is clearly paying the price for making a stand on an orange-based value (free speech) that he felt was being violated too soon or too harshly. Being raised stage green, I needed that. I didn't have free speech in my family, in my school, or with my friends. When I got to college, the first day in dorms, I was told the only way to interact with a girl was to ask for verbal consent at every step. To a horny virgin teenager, when you've been sold the idea that college is an orgy, that is the worst thing to hear Just because he has a bit of an ego and regresses to blue instead of providing a constructive route to green, I can't fault the guy because I binged him when I was in university drowning in the extreme green narrative and feeling like a piece of shit for falling short of that ideal. I'm only now owning up to the stage green values I was conditioned for because he catalyzed my development much in the same way you have. Although I agree he is wrong on his politics, and I agree that he has mostly become a politician, I do think he has played his role and I just wish he would retire ! Poor guy needs a break.

In Leo's recent video The Ultimate Structure Of Reality Explained at 52:03 he says in order to experience infinite love you would have to give up your selective sexual cravings and not have preference for certain sexual partners. Does this mean that in such a state you would have equal sexual infatuation with your normal waking consciousness "crush" as with your sister ? Your brother ? Your mother ? Your grandmother ? A five-year old child ? A mouse ? I have great difficulty making sense of this. I have definitely experienced an opening of my sexuality during my highest consciousness states but I have to say I am afraid of the implications it could have if taken to the absolute level.

I recently came upon this strange organization "Gaming for Good" which operates as a religion in Germany. There are around 50 members who are housed and fed in exchange for work - mostly programming, video editing, but also menial duties like cooking and cleaning. They are also apparently paid some type of wage in the form of the group's own cryptocurrency PRPS (purpose), although at any point the group can decide to take back these tokens through a fork as they control the currency. Aside from the material situation of the group members there are other signs pointing to this being a cult such as some of the ideology/religion that has been developed by the leader Athene. Athene is a twitch streamer who is the face of the group. To be honest I have not dug too much into the ideology too much but at a glance it seems like some basic self help principles mixed with some scientific sounding claims to back it up. Mostly the lingo that has developed around it like "adopt logic as your core value" and once you do that you will "click" and everything in your life will align is a pretty big red flag for me. The group does charity work and through its efforts has raised over $3,000,000 for the charity "Save the Children". I am surprised to see this organization or at least the leader receive praise from some mainstream media outlets considering the setup of the group - 50 unpaid workers part of a "religion" - which very much seems like a cult. Finally there have been reports of people feeling emotionally/psychologically abused during their time with the group although I don't think they ever mentioned any specific instances of abuse. All in all an organization that pretty much runs like a business with an operational cost of only $15,000/month for 50 employees some of which very skilled seems like the definition of a cult to me. However I was very surprised to discover the existence of such a modern, high-tech cult. I'd love to hear your thoughts. Didn't know whether to post this in consciousness or sexuality. I had a question for those who have attained high states of consciousness and might be able to share their perspective on the question of sexuality. I may just be projecting but my intuition is that someone who is highly conscious will be pretty fluid sexually if not disinterested in sex. It feels like a natural progression based on the realization that there really isn't a difference between man and woman. I understand that you could go further and say there is no difference between self and other and come to the conclusion that sex is no different than masturbation. However I'm making an assumption (and I guess it's a pretty big one) that most people will need to explore their sexuality at least a little in order to transcend it. Basically, do higher (not highest) states of consciousness correspond with sexual fluidity or are they pretty much independent?

@Marchino I feel the same way which is why I asked this question. In my case I have stopped finding guys sexually repulsive. It's not that I'm attracted to them but I would definitely say I'm open. I think it would all depend on the circumstances, it's not something I'm going to seek out just to do it.

@Aaron p So you mostly disagree with the "born this way" theory? What about the fact that many children exhibit traits that correspond with stereotypical homosexuality way before puberty? I'm not arguing that sexuality is 100% determined at birth by the way, but it does seem that it is shaped for the most part during childhood ... before any attempt is made to "get" girls.

@LfcCharlie4 @Serotoninluv Thank you for your thoughtful answers. I feel like I already knew that it's different for everyone and there isn't really a clear cut answer. I am glad that you confirmed awakening can correspond with an opening of a person's sexuality as that was my initial intuition.

@Leo Gura Yeah in many of the videos I watched of him he did come off as very manipulative and controlling but I was also pretty baffled as he does seem pretty charismatic and charming. It's hard for me to comprehend exactly how deluded he is and how conscious of his manipulation he is. I can only imagine that the charity work - raising money for children in Africa - is the noble justification that he uses to manipulate. Overall I just have this eery intuition that he is very much conscious of what he is doing and his motivations actually being far from pure.

This is confirmation bias. You believe repeating numbers have meaning, so when you see them you take that as proof that they are there for a reason and have some inherent meaning. When you see numbers that aren't repeating you just ignore them. You could check for yourself if this is actually happening or if it's in your mind. Every time you check the time throughout the day, write it down. There are 12 repeating times throughout the day : 1:11, 2:22, 3:33, 4:44, 5:55, 11:11 AM and PM. There is 1440 different possible times. So if after checking the time 100 times you get repeating numbers once or twice it is probably random chance and you should try to understand that maybe you are seeing these numbers because you are looking for them. Not saying that there is no meaning in them, just that it may be you that is giving them meaning and not God or the universe.
