  1. Continue! I always get strange sensations at the beginning like crazy tingling, fear, sadness. From what I've observed, the breathing invokes this very fine shaking, or vibrating, of all the cells in my body. I believe that vibrating releases old stuff and patterns that are not in harmony with the cells natural state, and as they are releasing you experience them. The visual I get is like in the video below. Your cells are in a scattered, imbalanced state, and the breathing makes them all start to vibrate, which helps them naturally return to their natural state of harmony and balance, and the interim is where you get all of the releasing. If you can get passed that middle stage, you will most likely reach a state of harmony and peace and balance which feels wonderful. Sometimes it is a long and hard process though, so you just have to be brave and stick it out and trust the process. If you're doing it alone and you feel fear, perhaps you should wait to do it in a class so you have someone watching out for you, but don't give up on it altogether just because you're experiencing some uncomfortable sensations.
  2. I think tattoos can be a wonderful addition on a spiritual path, not necessary of course, but nice and perhaps even helpful. Tattoos are images and symbols that represent an inner experience of something. A feeling, an idea, a memory. They hold an energetic signature of whatever it is they are meant to represent. The same goes for all art. It is the intention and feeling behind the image that determines the degree of power that it carries. Have you ever been lifted to a higher state of consciousness by gazing a beautiful piece of artwork? What comes to mind is images of the incredible artwork you see in a lot of mosques and churches. Why did they take the time to do that? They could have just left the buildings in their 'natural' state. There is a point to doing this, and it is to help evoke the feeling of the Divine by surrounding you with images that hold that energetic signature. Another example is weavings from South America. I've heard they weave the spirit and energy of Ayahuasca ceremonies into their pieces, and then when you hang these in your house they affect the space and your consciousness even when you're not directly looking at them. My house is full of gorgeous artwork that is symbolic of Spirit. Being in my house always feels so wonderful, not like any other place. It is a sanctuary. My body is embellished with symbols that for me personally represent God, heaven, meditation, beauty, love, family. Each evokes different feelings in me when I look at them, and when I see my body they make me feel beautiful. My body is my temple. And personally I love living in a temple that is adorned with sacred art and symbols. Of course, if tattoos are not your thing or they are not attractive to you, then you don't have to get them! The body is beautiful and sacred in its natural state as well. And like I said, intention is everything, so it is different for everyone. I know a lot of people who get tattoos just because they think it will look cool and they don't have much passion behind what they chose to put on their body. The saddest to me are when people tattoo things that are quite negative on themselves, and then they carry around that negative energy on them forever. But that is their choice. To each their own.
  3. YES. So amazingly, miraculously, wonderfully beautiful.
  4. Absolutely not... I've never even heard of anyone saying to have your arms out before. Having them at your sides is fine.
  5. I've been discovering recently that this is actually more widespread than I would have thought. There's a lot more people out there doing and saying similar things. I just read the book We, The Arcturians which was supposedly channeled by ETs and I have to say I found it quite intriguing. The most important, common thread in everything that I've seen is that they want to be of service, offer assistance, advice, help but only if we want it as they cannot and would not impede on our free will. So there are tokens of knowledge and wisdom that I've gathered from these seemingly benevolent messages about how to improve myself and my life. I cannot say that I fully know whether or not it's real, but with what I understand about the nature of reality it's not that far fetched to me really. And if it's not real, that wouldn't bother me much either. In that case I would regard it like mythology, its own unique form of storytelling, which throughout time has been very beneficial to humanity in its own way.
  6. @Mystic_Fool Incredible. Thank you
  7. @DrMobius I used to listen to Tool in high school but never paid attention to what the songs were saying. Those lyrics are quite profound! wow
  8. Thoughts and emotions are not bullshit, they are tools for your use here in this physical experience. You have been given great gifts- the power to create with thought and electrical impulses which inform you as to your current state of being. Your mind is a tool for you to use but it is very powerful and you have not been taught from an early age to be in control of it, so it is like an untamed stallion, running about wherever it pleases. This is not your fault but your mind belongs to you and you can start to train it and use it to your advantage instead of letting it run rampant and allowing it to negatively affect you. Also, like any tool, you can choose to put it down when you don't wish to use it. Your emotions are a guidance system. They are there to let you know where you stand in relationship to where you want to be. Your true self is always in a state of peace, love, wholeness. When your thoughts are not congruent with the state of your true self, then negative emotions arise as the discord between you and You. If you REALLY want to wrap your head around what YOU are, I suggest getting to the very core of the nature of reality. Understand that everything is energy. That energy is conscious and it makes up everything in existence. In terms of modern science, think of how everything is made out of atoms and atoms are made of like 99% space and protons and electrons which are what? Energy. So the only thing that separates mind from body from emotion is your brain interpreting electrical signals and relaying the information. Without the body to do that, everything is formless, everything is conscious, everything is pure energy.
  9. I think Google joined the dark side a long time ago.
  10. I have been on a spiritual path for about 10 years and started a regular exercise regimen (kung fu) about 2 years ago and let me tell you, wow, what a difference this has made for me. For the longest time I didn't feel that great in my body, I would go to the gym and swim or do yoga, but not consistently and not enough to make much of a difference. During that time as well I struggled to be consistent with daily meditation and other things that raised my level of consciousness. Once I committed to regular, rigorous exercise, my body started changing and feeling stronger, sturdier, lighter. My diet has greatly improved over the last 2 years as well. When I started feeling better in my body, it was so much easier to put effort into other things that I had always known I needed to do but struggled to find the energy and motivation to do. From my experience, I would conclude that diet and exercise are an essential part of raising your consciousness. Mind and body are equally important components of existing as a human. The body is the vessel through which we experience the world and we are in constant, direct connection with it aside from sleeping or out of body experiences. The spiritual path is about realizing unity, seeing the divine in everything. Our bodies are made of spirit, as is everything else. Therefore it should be given equal love, respect and care.
  11. Hi. Have you heard of scripting? This is something I've started doing and I really like it. The idea is to journal your thoughts and feelings but instead of just writing how you feel about it now or how things are bad or how you want them to be, you write everything as you want it to be as if it already is. That is the key. This has a lot to do with LOA if you're interested in that which deals with the concept that we create our reality. If you want to think of it scientifically, then you can think in terms of neural programming. Thinking and repeating the same thoughts over and over create neural pathways that train the brain to repeat the same patterns of thought. With scripting, your are training the brain to think in new ways, which then grow stronger the more you do it, and the easier it is for your brain to think positively. Emotions are a key aspect as well. The more powerful an emotion is behind a thought, the more powerful that thought becomes. That is why you want to write things as if you already are that way, so that you can feel what it feels like now. Here is an example of what you might write. Regular journal entry - I am always comparing myself to others and it is constantly making me feel bad about myself. I need to stop doing that and learn to accept myself as I am. Scripting - I go throughout my day seeing the beauty and uniqueness of everyone, including myself. I know that we are all meant to be different and each have our own strengths and assets. I feel so at home in myself when I am around other people because I deeply accept and love myself. See the difference in how those feel? As you do this every day, you'll find that it gets easier and easier and after awhile you might find that what you write is actually coming true for you. I also recommend gratitude journals. I script in the morning and give thanks every evening.
