  1. The so-called "Gospel of Thomas" is not recognized as being divine in origin, that is of Jesus who is the Christ, but instead a text that is gnostic. That is why it isn't included in the Holy Bible. There are gnostics around today who claim that Christ married Mary Magdalene and had children with her. Not true. Beware of gnostic fake news!
  2. mandyjw, Jesus died for everyone. Do I love the damage that's been done to people? No. Wholeness and completeness is healthy and fruitful. Where in the Holy Bible did Jesus say that gender doesn't matter? I certainly haven't come across it. Gender matters. It should be highly valued. It has its place among all things. Andrea
  3. mandyjw, How can you be Him? First of all, you were created by God. Secondly, you're not the same gender as He. So, thirdly, you're not my old flame. Nothingness is the absence of beauty. Beauty is the fullness of being. I'm very happy for the imperfect to be made perfect, for the corruption of all things to dissolve and be replaced by incorruption, in other words TRANSFORMATION. That and our reconciliation with our Creator is the ultimate goal. Andrea
  4. What is there to disagree with? Can you prove that I'm wrong, Truth Addict?
  5. Wishful thinking, because you never were and therefore never can be Him. Quit "navel gazing", and you'll discover the Truth.
  6. Sexual energy is meant to be focused on either sex with someone else, or self-love. I've learned to tame my inner beast.
  7. Why are some people here afraid of the desire to connect intimately with another human being? Don't you realize that the craving for love is universal? If we are all parts of the God Consciousness and therefore all One, then why do any of us fear the creative aspect of love? And what's wrong with loving oneself? Doesn't perfect love cast out all fear?
  8. SQAAD, Why is it that people of all faiths and none get their knickers in such a twist about sexual cravings? You have the natural God-given need for physical intimacy with another human being - something without which we would never have come into existence. I'm a Christian, and in the past have been made to feel ashamed about having sexual urges. Why don't you look for a companion, or go solo so to speak, and enjoy your sexuality? You're as much a sexual being as you are a physical, intellectual and spiritual being. Shame will get you nowhere. By the way, that's just my opinion. Andrea
  9. Abrakamowse, Your claim is false, so I reject it. I would agree with you, if it was true. Jesus Christ is God, along with His heavenly Father, and the Holy Spirit, therefore He already had the authority from the Father to forgive us sinners. As for Christians, read on: 2 Peter 1: 2 - 4 New King James Version "Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust." - St Peter Andrea
  10. Then what did Jesus mean if it wasn't to do with the fact of all authority coming from God?
  11. You've no need to worry: Hebrews 9:27-28 New King James Version And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, so Christ was offered (sacrificed) once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation. Andrea
  12. There is only one God. This man is deluded.
  13. I might watch the movie when it arrives in Britain. Here is the meaning of the word "nonexistence": non-existence NOUN mass noun The fact or state of not existing or not being real or present. ‘non-believers cannot prove the non-existence of God’ - https://en.oxforddictionaries.com
  14. You need to look up where that saying originally came from and read it in its proper context.
  15. They are reliable if you source them from the original texts.
  16. Feelings and ideas need to be tested in the real world. If they don't pass the test, reject them.
  17. Shadowraix, The people here have no more dissolved the boundary separating their sense of personhood from their awareness of God than I have. Not respecting who God is shall damage them psychologically and spiritually. They can no more be God than I be Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain! Dictionary definitions of words are essential if they are to be properly used, otherwise there is a breakdown in communication. Andrea
  18. iTommy The problem here is that you're ignoring the literal dictionary definitions for the words "God" and "consciousness" in favor of your own redefinitions for them. God is the Creator, not His Creation. You never created yourself. You were created biologically by your earthly parents, and your soul / spirit created by God. There is only one God, but many human beings. Consciousness is to do with one's awareness of one's own existence, surroundings, time, God, etc . The ego is to do with one's sense of self-worth (self-esteem). It's the part of one's mind that mediates between the conscious and the unconscious, and is responsible for reality testing and a sense of personal identity. My dictionary definitions have have been taken from www.OxfordDictionaries.com. It is entirely possible to know God personally, without resorting to destroying one's ego / sense of self. Consciousness of Him is otherwise impossible. "Mental masturbation" has nothing to do with what I'm saying.
  19. The Holy Bible which includes the books of the Law a.k.a. the Torah - Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy - is far, far, far more reliable than the Babylonian influenced sayings of the Talmud. The Bible refers to God as "I Am that I AM", "Jehovah", "Yahweh", "Holy Spirit", "Immanuel" meaning "God with us" who is Jesus Christ "the Living Word", "the Father" etc, etc.
  20. The last two posters were of course seeking to distract. Desperate tactics....
  21. If you can't be truthful with the definitions of words without resorting to sarcasm, then you only succeed at invalidating your beliefs. Here's the literal definition for nothingness: nothingness NOUN mass noun The absence or cessation of life or existence. Agreed?
  22. The definition for "nothingness" isn't "consciousness" at all. Try again.
  23. Ajasatya, Okay. Can you please share with me the official dictionary definitions for nothing and "nothingness". Thanks! My problem with your definition of God is that it actually renders the word meaningless. For God to be real, He, She or It has to be distinguishable from everything else. Otherwise you can't really believe that God exists. Andrea
  24. It is crazy because you are denying the fundamental fact of you as a created being. Your unproven claim to 'godhood' is a wholly irrational belief that is not grounded in reality. Anyone who regularly hears "voices", hallucinates on drugs, or allows himself to always be led by what he "feels", could think the same way that you do. "Nothingness is reading these words." The reader of your words is a real person, but your claims amount to NOTHING.
