I've recently reached enlightenment via a combination of heroic doses of psychedelics + 6 months of Dark Night of the Soul after my last trip. It's both the best thing ever and not exactly as impressive as one might think. This video sums it up pretty well:
 
Problem is I still have to survive in the material world aka job. I have to fully engage the ego for that.
I understand concepts like Life Purpose, being a Strategic Motherfucker etc. Been applying them, but still feel like I'm not going fast enough. And it's even harder now, because I can see how much of a joke most things people including me do in a job setting. My life purpose is to lead a positive movement that drives humanity forward, currently it would be building a business in the renewable energy space.
I've struggled to really see any gains from reaching enlightenment though, the only one being maybe the ability to "let go" of any negative reaction within minutes - but not right in the moment, yet. 
Has anyone here got enlightenment first, and then used it to accelerate your life purpose? Would love to hear your stories and tips.

Other drugs can also show you that.
The bliss you experience on psychedelics is different from drugs like heroin/cocaine/ketamine etc., you could say the bliss is more rewarding in a way. With psychedelics it's not guaranteed that you will have a good time, while hard drugs will always feel good (if you dont do them to much).
The main difference for me is after you take 'hard drugs' you will feel bad after the effects wear off and lots of times you dont feel good for a week or so.
But when I have an amazing psychedelic experience, for the next two weeks I feel better then I do usually and there is no down. So you could say the price you pay for psychedelics is different compared to 'hard drugs'

Psychedelics produce bliss and euphoria too, but it usually comes at the price of high vulnerability.
In more vulgar words, I would say with normal drugs you always have control, in psychedelics the higher you go the less control you usually have. I think this difference it's makes 'hard drugs' easy to abuse, while with psychedelics not.

The cruel thing about consciousness is that the more conscious you become the more responsible you must be for the well-being of others, otherwise you create bad karma for yourself. So an unconscious PUA can rape a girl and not experience bad karma, but a conscious person cannot. That's the cost of consciousness. The closer you get to infinite consciousness the less evil you can be. There is a direct trade-off between selfishness and consciousness. Such that when you reach infinite consciousness you must literally cease to physically exist. Because even your physical existence is too selfish to hold infinite consciousness.

I've noticed that most people who are interested in philosophy and who study philosophy are moral objectivists. I would be curious on Leos take for why this is, because it is very strange to me. I cannot really follow the arguments because many times they just look like elaborate labyrinths of mental acrobatis to somehow arrive at the conclusion they are seeking to arrive at.
It looks more like a language game than anything else, a lot of it just looks like people are indoctronated into certain schools of thoughts and then make it their jobs to rationalize those positions.
