  2. You can start having light dinners, that way the ten days will go smoothly atleast with the dinner aspect. Following the instructions to point actually is the key to achieving desired results. For example, for my first retreat I prepped meditating everyday focusing on my breath while forcing my breaths (kind of like Pranayam) so I actually found it difficult to focus on my bare natural breath. My second one, I found watching my stomach helped track bare natural breath for the ana pana method. Pain is just a sensation and its temporary, it ll pass! All the best, hope you give it your all
  3. Looks like they are part of sect of Jainism called Svetambaras, who are primarily Naked all their life. Brave souls. Most serious spiritual sects have Samadhi, something to be celebrated in my opinion.
  4. No intoxicants is one of thier rules, if I were you, I'd try honouring their ways as much as possible for Dhamma to work for myself. Even though you might not be "intoxicated" microsoding. Doing it sober will definitely have a better impact in our day to day life.

  6. Haha, This cracked me up. Good one!!
  7. The main concern would be if the person can deal with the dark night of the soul on the path. So maybe you can discern people based on Maslow's hierarchy. Explaining the dark night of the soul before sending them to retreats would do some justice and protect yourself from karma. Because going on this path can shed a lot of layers many could not even imagine. Ofcourse on the other side of the journey, the grass is way greener. Just thinking out loud here.
  8. I have had some weird things happen to me but not this intense, I would count my stars if I were experiencing such events even if it might be uncomfortable at the moment, a lot of people would be ecstatic to have any kind of experience. Maybe you have done spiritual work in your previous life and hence you are able to have these experiences or maybe you have some life experiences which have led you to have these. Starting Kriya yoga would be helpful in grounding. For now maybe you can focus on things that interests you, for example TV shows or music. Grounding exercises would be extremely helpful, long walks in nature, classical music, practicing presence. This too shall pass. These are my opinions, feel free to take any of value and let go of the rest.
  9. @kinesin I feel what you are saying, observation here is referring to measurement rather than an actual observer. Thank you for clarifying this, I shall look into this a little more.
  10. This triggered the double slit experiment thought in me. If God is omnipresent then why does the particle behave differently when there is a human observer from wave to particle. I do not have the answer to the question but this is something to ponder on.
  11. @Thoth_tehuti 20 mins a day is better than 0 mins a day, it's my opinion.
  12. @m0hsen It seems extremely difficult to get to this point with a lot of dedication, This is not a simple feat to achieve though. Trying to be open minded about this but difficult right now to fathom Breatharian ways for life.
  13. @blankisomeone You cant produce self sustaining energy unless you have chlorophyll. We all leeches out here.
  14. @blankisomeone EVOLUTION Hardships in life like survival is what pushes evolution. for example, Do you have eyesight? congratulations, a lot of beings for millions of years have survived many hardships to have given their descendants eye sight. If you are competing, you are pushing yourself to edge for evolution. If you had everything, evolution would be devolution, to lazy ppl pleasuring their senses.
