Pacific Sage replied to Leo Gura's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Paan There is an awareness technique for memory. Set a particular time in the night and remember the entire day's activities either top down or from night till morning. Either of them should help with the memory gradually but the latter will help you remember your dreams better too. Increasing your awareness also increases quality of consciousness. All the best! -
Religious people put their blind Faith on idol worship and don't actually work on their consciousness separately as far as I have understood. But the prayer they submit still puts them in a one pointed positive focus which might have an impact on their consciousness. So with this premise the thought which occured to me and the question I submit is if this blind Faith actually help them connect to the omniscient God and help them with their salvation in any way possible? Does blind Faith serve it's purpose in anyway to the good people who have no strong dogmas and just want a better world?

This is what I wonder, is there feedback with blind Faith? How we know there is no definitive feedback with blind Faith. Is the feedback on the spiritual path mystical experience? Peace? Or your wishes being fulfilled? Or just being with the awareness of consciousness as the ultimate? -

@Inliytened1 I couldn't agree more! This dilemma came from me trying to explain Kriya yoga to my religious friend and he straight away said meditation is not for me. I respect his decision and I do not judge him for it as he said his prayers are sufficient to help him be at peace. I also tried telling him about connecting with the eternal to whom he prays everyday and he simply wouldn't budge. I understand it takes radical open mindedness for a person to shift views that quickly. Maybe if he does his research on it maybe he might change but am not hurt. I am happy I tried. Just wanted to get in his shoe and wonder how things are. -

I guess true happiness is something which is anchored and is consistent. Doesn't fade with time and situations. And it's possible to have that peace in life. Watch Leo's Spiral Dynamics video to understand the variety of people who exist. -

Let's do a thought experiment! Say something unthinkable happens (god forbid) and you can no longer have sex for the rest of your life! Impossible as of now, but hypothetically something happens and leads to that! What are your thoughts going to be on hypergamy? Also you do realize you cannot Chase hypergamy for the rest of your life. Nothing wrong with that but the happiness you derive from it is very short term and you got to keep chasing it as a feedback for happiness. Also this happiness fades with memory and stays in the past. -

While practicing Om japa kriya, are we supposed to chant Om at each chakra or we supposed to move from muladhara to medulla with one single Om? Experienced kriyabans kindly clarify please! -
From what I understand, while they definitely do it in the pursuit of liberation but I don't necessarily think they like it or enjoy it. Plucking out facial hair by hand? Haha i reckon this is a skill! I have tried pulling my own when I had a sloppy shave . It's quite difficult ?

Leo mentions that some people like suffering and chose the path of suffering. I want to understand if this is a conscious decision or a path of sub-conscious conditioning for them to like it. I cannot fathom to understand why someone would opt to be beaten in order for them to build a pyramid for example. Can we find people from all stages of spiral Dynamics under this bracket or maybe there are only specific stages who only come under this? I can't imagine a stage green or maybe even orange who might like suffering. Can you kind folk give me more examples of these paths where people like suffering? Just need more examples to understand this perspective.

No I can relate to it. Thank you! Will need to work a lot and contemplate, for it to sink in.

Ah! I think I understand. Suffering after a break up might seem bad at that moment but is natural and needed. It isn't necessarily bad with the big picture in mind.
-
Is Bondage an example? I'm unsure if there are other factors at play with this one. Are dopamine and serotonin released when people who like to suffer are caused to suffer?

For me, the most powerful has been the "The paradox of developing self" where he speaks about developing the intuition of our feelings and body and how significant they are to our minute and major life decisions. If I could paraphrase this episode I would put it as "How to connect with God"

It's a very foundational topic, the only constant thing is time running unstoppably. Change is Dynamic in life and one has to be prepared for changes. If it's a tough situation, just knowing it's temporary and things will change will have a profound effect in facing the situation with a better perspective. It is also quite relative to the recent video 'life unfolds in phases and chapters'. This concept can prepare everyone to be open to change in the first place and adapt to changes comfortably than resisting. Would absolutely love a video on this, even if it's a short one.

It's been around 2 weeks since I have started Kriya practice with 2 reps everyday. I am experiencing higher consciousness and as a by product I have this focus on knot like feeling in left brain, around 3 cms, 60 degrees from my ear and feels like it's being pulled. I have this assumption that it's a way to repair what ever wrong has taken place so far. Anybody experience similar sensation?? Also have been experiencing on and off sensation at the point between the eye brows Through out the day. Kind of feeling drained by the entire situation. -

@winterknight Have you experienced samadhi? If yes, how many times have you experienced it? and is samadhi the peak experience of spirituality ?
