  1. @GreenWoods If I may ask, what is your kriya routine right now?
  2. Hi! Initially it helps if you just slightly converge your eye brows and create a bit of tension between your eyebrows. Hope this helps create the sensation.
  3. To think of it, I had actually told my Vipassana teacher at that point of time that I had read power of now and am doing the retreat in line with that but for new experience. Through out the retreat he constantly projected that vipassana is better than power of now.
  4. The waterfall effect with the experience students seems to be something to strive for with Vipassana. Goenka also speaks about the bhang state which I think is the enlightenment state. I had an experience at one of the retreats as well but it could be a result of withdrawing the sensual stimulation. You did a 30 day retreat! Wow that's amazing. Congratulations.
  5. It's working quite well for me too so far. The preparatory practices prescribed helps a lot with traditional meditation too, helps silence the mind.
  6. Rising in power with that fear in the background is definitely a path which is undesirable. But its not the only way to grow in power. Growing with integrity with what one believes in grounds oneself without fear. In my humble opinion. Integrity to the reason why one has risen to power definitely plays a part. If one is serving the greater good with GOOD INTENTION, there's no greater freedom even with power. People who are in real power hardly care about their self image. There are haters to anyone who grows.
  7. There are two types of Guru. 1 External 2 Internal The external Gurus show you the ropes which are vital to this path. You can always try what they have to offer and then consult your internal Guru if it's the right thing or not. You ll definitely know because you ll have experiences. The key is taking action. Try Inner engineering if you are interested in Sadhguru and know for yourself. Am sure it ll be worthwhile to spend your time in this space.
  8. I think Kriya Yoga would be a good match for what you are seeking. It works by stilling the mind through preparatory practices first and then you dive into subtle energy points in the body and ultimately raise the Kundalini energy through all the Chakras.
  9. @Tetcher Who isn't striving for union here. But that might take decades. The increased focus resulting from stilling the mind from the practices for me is far more enjoyable as I am more calm and grounded through out the day. True there's always a risk. Life is a gamble.
  10. @herghly I did but am taking a break from it as I started experiencing energy in my temples. Not too discomforting but at times it gets intense. I have also started to keep my jaws in contact consciously through out the day with my tongue raised. I don't know what the reason for the energy there but I thought ll take it slow.
  11. It's been two and a half months since I started and here's what I do : Nadi Shodana 12 rounds Ujjayi 12 rounds Talabya 5 sets Kriya bow Om Japa 6 rounds KP as suggested by Santata Gamana- 108 times. Concentration 5 mins After Kriya state 10 mins But while Nadi Shodana I almost do it Ujjayi style so I can have longer durations. Is there any text which says it shouldn't be done like this or does any one here follow the same way too?
  12. When I saw Freddie Mercury I personally didn think he was much of a looker but as I progressed listening to his music, I fell in love with his work and him! it's his Aura! Even the way he moves is such art! He is one of the most cherished artist of the century and people are still having a great time by his productions. Do not judge a book by its cover.
  13. @TheExplorer @memocappa Thank you both for sharing! We need more healing!
  14. This is my understanding of breathless state so far. Am open to the idea of suspension until more experiences. I am two months in so haven't experienced spinning from Kriya so far. Thanks for the advice will power through with a deep breath when I deal with it.
  15. Also Please be wary about the information you process from Nithyananda! He is notorious.
  16. Yea I could! Here it goes! what's the point of "I" existing or God existing and wonder how it came to existence too. Guess we ll never know this. Why does God create the perfect being but also add suffering. This a beautiful world that has been created but one is just a cog both in the capitalist/communist and the spiritual world unless one is liberated. Even if liberated it's just god experiencing the universe and for what joy as this is temporary too. Or this is all part of the Kali yuga where suffering+optimism+work is evolution. Comparing our lives to the people who lived 300-400 years back I guess we are all living like Kings and Queens with convenience of pleasure at our fingerprints, thanks to technology and science, but discounting the power. I guess we have more in the artillery to engage our sensations now than ever before. Not sure if it's for the best for the future though. Sorry if I am sucking the energy of this thread with this rant but these are the thoughts am dealing with. Guess am not these thoughts and ll just go back to being rather than getting stuck between the wheel of dhamma and the wheel of suffering. Love and peace! Have a nice weekend!
  17. So this is hell with certain perks but we got to work to move on to the next realm? Wonder why "I" even came into existence. What's the point of all this?
  18. This sounds amazing!! Thank you!
  19. This isnt a paid forum, feel free to do as you please
  20. Is the breathless state a state where one is actually not breathing or just a state where one is so mindful and the breathing is so mellow that one doesn't feel it and all one is left with is pure consciousness?
  21. Disidentifying with the inner voice and just experiencing what is without bias could be one state of mind without the ego.
  22. The easiest way I felt to develop compassion for others is putting myself in their shoes and try seeing the world from their perspective, it generates a sense of peace once I know where certain actions are coming from. To get to this Leo's multi part series of Spiral Dynamics was a huge help, when I start observing traits and patters and understanding their motives I could try analyse where they are coming from. I used to turn a blind eye to a lot of manipulation from my friends towards others until I realized the same is happening with me too. But since their motives are hard wired in them, I just reduced my exposure to such environments altogether no matter how fun they seem to be. Ultimately I realized it's simply not personal. Also Leo mentions all aspects of SD are right in their own path of evolution depending on their situation. Only thing we can do is focus on our own devilry and elevate our consciousness. I have been where you are, and still there to an extent, during certain high emotional/drama situation where I feel like I am losing my self. I guess certain emotions can sway me off my centre and am still trying to be reflective of them. It's quite tough.. I was very unconscious before with the movies I watched and the songs I used to listen to. As long as the tune was good I used to listen to it for hours, now that I am relatively more aware, I have an understanding of the lyrics of the songs and most of my past favourites just doesn't sit with me now. I guess a lot of it is in the sub conscious and being more aware of it and developing a sense of internal compass from there has helped me stay more grounded in situations. Also contemplating past reactions and behaviors to respective situations helps. I am high with energy as long as the situation is with good vibes, and responsive and distant when things are otherwise.
  23. @Paan Also 5 mins is bad. Maybe you can try one of the guided meditation to settle your mind first and then do kriya? Hope this helps.
