  1. I know I need to stay positive. I know everything happens for a reason and I likely manifested this in some way. But how the hell do I not deeply regret making a mistake that caused my son to get sick (likely with COVID - test pending) I can’t help but spiral into thinking about all of the bad things that could happen...
  2. No. There is about to be extreme suffering on an unfathomable scale. Think about one single elderly person you know. They will die from this. Wake up. But that doesn’t mean we all need to be angry, and lose our minds...it means we need to focus on the good, making conscious/unselfish decisions and loving one another.
  3. I agree. I see the good in that too. Eventually the world will be better. I continue to urge to everyone I talk to to stay positive
  4. Don’t get me wrong, I most definitely think this virus is a serious threat, we need to take it seriously and many people will die. There is nothing “good” about people dying. But I can’t help but try to focus on what benefit this virus could have on the greater society. I see the world coming to almost a complete hault for 2-4 weeks. We will work together to help others in need, regardless of race, demographic, sex, age etc. I especially see the elderly being brought to the forefront, prioritized and made to improve their “worth”. People will learn to look inwards, focusing on close friends, family and even self. The United States will finally come to realize the necessity to elect Bernie Sanders. Does anyone else agree?
  5. @Lowerplanedweller I think you should give this book a go: https://www.google.com/aclk?sa=L&ai=DChcSEwjQ882inbHkAhULvsAKHRrdAfsYABAGGgJpbQ&sig=AOD64_1lf5rmMKCSPapMDksrcvlIPN6r_w&ctype=5&q=&ved=0ahUKEwif-8SinbHkAhVDL6wKHV2SDJEQ9aACCMwB&adurl=
  6. This. So this. Everything that Leo talks about, takes a crazy amount time and effort to truly grasp...it is far to difficult for the majority of society to really understand.
  7. When I was growing up, I thought the ying-yang symbol was just some hippie vomit. The more I learn, the more and more I am realizing how insanely deep and meaningful it really is. Anyone else feel the same?
  8. When I first learned about spiral dynamics from Leo I thought of myself as traveling in the spiral from the outside in...towards more understanding...like when you send a coin into the spinning funnel to be collected at the bottom. But now, the way I "see" it is actually the opposite. When one progresses through the different stages they do so by opening and expanding their minds to other possibilities. On a more specific level, these spirals can be narrowed to individual topics or dualities, which are on a single dimension (with an infinite number of dimensions, this helps me to relate). So, in a single dimension or duality, I envision a pendulum, and the more open minded you become...the farther your pendulum swings. Light vs dark ...good vs evil. I used to be afraid of darkness and evil as society had taught me. But as I learn, I now see society is a resistance, as poison...trying to keep me in the center...trying to prevent me from expanding my mind. So I am learning to not fear evil and darkness...but to embrace them and let my pendulum swing farther.
  9. I would like to propose the idea of having topics with the heading of The way I see it: _____ . We are all on our own individual journey and can "see", think and understand things differently, especially with the topics that Leo discusses here. I believe that these vantage points on these topics is to be celebrated! So I propose the heading above to provide insights to other peoples points of view.
  10. Anyone know of any? I am thinking Tom Brady for sure...but other than that I think most athletes have used religion as a tool to believe in themselves to get them to that level. It would be interesting to know some and how they do it.
  11. "The only thing we have to Fear is Fear itself" -Franklin D. Roosevelt I would sit and contemplate that quote...like really sit and think about it. Also, try to live in the present moment for the only thing that you can change. The past is gone and the future isn't written.
  12. I am not familiar with that term! I have had times while meditating or doing yoga that I have felt "in a spiral"...is that what this means?
  13. I've contemplated how to manage the Law of Attraction and Resistance for some time but still struggle with it. I believe that is another duality...the simple minded picture of: an angel and one shoulder and a devil on the other. To me this is a good way to put it...although I know it isn't about good or bad but aligning with your vision and trusting the choices you make. Obviously there are times where is it easy to make the choice away from resistance like choosing meditation over watching Netflix for example...but sometimes the choice isn't that easy. The Ego does a great job of painting itself as a beautiful angel sometimes. I am early on in my journey...so how can I tell the difference? Patience? Not worrying about it and just simply trusting that what will be will be? Or is there more to it than that?
