Yes your "bullshit" radar is right on. Basically it's marketing, and a big business. The "new age" essentially replaced "religion", but it's not much different. A bunch of beliefs without direct experience, pretty much sums it up. It's a distraction and has nothing to do with awakening.

You preach radical open mindedness, yet you don't seem to be open minded to the idea that you could possibly be wrong. Again, you can't possibly know that it will take tens of thousands of hours, you just don't know this. When you are in seeker mode, just like you are, of course you will assume it will take you that long of a time. I would take oversimplified, rather than over complicated any day of the week. Get one enlightenment, before you try to get 100 others (if there is such a thing). Can it be possible that it is actually simple, but your EGO wants to make it too complicated? - Contemplate this question

I didn't say watching a Tolle video would get you the "full enlightenment". I posted an example of a great explanation of what it actually is, as opposed to what it is not. I have not heard of those 2 people you mentioned. But as far as I know, actual "enlightened" teachers don't put other teachers into categories, such as "first stage", "2nd stage", etc or give their opinion on one's advancement. There is no possible way that know who is actually "enlightened" and who is "not". That alone is already a red flag for me, when it comes to those 2 teachers you mentioned. You seem to be trapped in "spiritual seeking", with all of the conceptualizing and intellectualizing of "enlightenment". Goes back to my point - until you drop the seeking and drop the idea that "enlightenment" is something to be attained in the future, you will not get to "enlightenment". You are not alone, there are thousands of seekers seeking for years.

You can't possibly know if it takes 1000 hours or 100 hours, can you? By saying it would take "x amount of hours" is already misleading, because you are implying that enlightenment is something that 1) Can be attained , and 2) Something to be attained in the future. Ironically, you will never have the "enlightenment", because you have already made it into a future goal. Just look at the all the seekers who have been seeking for 10s of years. Eckhart has a perfect explanation, which even you LEO don't seem to fully get yet:

I have personally snorted it and found it to be extremely awful, and not effective. I have vaped it many times(with a shaman and by myself) and can tell you that to me vaping is perfect but you can also choose a lesser dose for vaping it.(Yes it is extremely intense, nothing can compare to it) I think your reason for not vaping it, is based on fear. Vaping a dosages that Martin W Ball recommends are extremely intense but safe though(you don't feel the physical harm that you feel with snorting). The biggest difference here, is that you still get insights while doing 5_MEO, and if you vaped it - there would be no more of that. And a part of your EGO doesn't want to surrender it, wants to continue to get more and more understandings. Martin W Ball states that there is actual no need for continuing trying to understand everything (egoic desire). This is till the phase that you are going through, but I do predict that one day you will surrender that part. ( have gone through it myself).

Ironically, this guy is totally right. And the OP+comments in this thread are a proof of it. Even though LEO states to not follow him blindly, a lot of you follow him blindly, without understanding what he is saying. And given the amount of videos he releases, there is too much information for many to grasp. When anyone criticizes LEO, you feel the right to defend him - a trap of the EGO. What you did, is you replaced your "old" identity, with "spiritual" identity - AKA EGO. The more conscious you become, the desire to follow anyone or having a GURU disappears. And you are able to see the value in different perspectives.

@Leo Gura How many times have you tried to vape 5-MEO? And why are you so against vaping it? A lot of people would prefer to not stick something up their ass. And like I said, Martin W Ball, the most experienced person with 5-MEO in the world, states that vaping it is the most effective method for non-dual liberation. Why should anyone take your word over his?

@GabeN I tried snorting only once, and that nothing compared to smoking it. Yes the come up is like being hit by a train going 500 miles per hour, but that is exactly the point - to overpower the mind, and the ego - and there you have a choice, to surrender or resist. Because of this, with smoking - the level of consciousness that you experience is infinitely higher.

@Leo Gura Why do you advocate plugging instead of smoking 5-MEO? When you tried smoking it (full dosage), what was your experience? Martin Ball, one of the most experienced people with 5-MEO in the world, says that smoking 5-MEO is the most effective way. He talks about it in his books. He mentions that insights are not the primary goal when using 5-MEO DMT for liberation purposes. Basically it contradicts what you say. Would appreciate it if you could address this.
