Ofc Leo made a video on this 3 years ago Completely forgot about it
-
Yeah it's a whole world by itself, a lot of questions I had about the human system were answered with Ayurveda. The book i mentioned earlier is great for westerners to understand it without too much Sanskrit terminology. " Prakriti: Your Ayurvedic Constitution by Robert Svaboda"
-
It dropped to like 6 hours but sometimes I can do with 5 hours I eat one main/big meal around noon and then a plate of fruits and juice for dinner. I also realized that emptying your bowels completely helps a lot when doing certain spiritual practices like Yoga, so I make sure my main meal of the past day is fully digested and eliminated before morning practices.

It is perfectly fine to be skeptical about him and any Guru, which is why I decided to travel and stay at his ashram for half a year to know for myself. It's hard to fully judge from just videos.
-
Thank you! I know about his health issue but didn't know about the new diet choice
-
From an Ayurvedic Point of view, you have a lot of Vata Symptoms (cold hands, bad digestion etc). Out of the three constitutions (Vata, Pitta and Kapha), Vata is the only constitution that can benefit from meat. That could be why you feel the most conscious on a carnivore diet. Goat, Chicken, Turkey, Eggs and Fresh Fish are good meat options according to Ayurveda. Beef is permissible when absolutely necessary to “ground” the Vata person immediately. I just ripped that info from the book "Prakriti: Your Ayurvedic Constitution by Robert Svaboda".

Did I miss a joke Leo? Thought you were Vegan

Never heard about that concept but it obviously makes perfect sense. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you!! ?

Thank you for mentioning about him, didn't know before. I also personally chew like 30-40 times, not just 24. The idea is to finish like 50% of the digestion in the mouth region itself, before it goes down.
-
He says there is a reason for the number 24 but didn't want to mention it in that particular video. I personally don't chew exactly for 24 but mostly somewhere between 30-40, until the food really becomes like a paste. But this should come with awareness because some foods can be broken down much more easily ofcourse. He also however mentions about eating only 24 mouthfuls of food per meal as well, which is different from the chewing aspect. Sure, you gotta be skeptical but also give it a try and see how you respond to it

"Self-Reference is what causes this hole at the bottom of Mathematics" That's a beautiful Spiritual Reference... I bet some mathematicians who meditate might get it

Same ??

@Leo Gura The reason we might see Sadhguru followers not been critical thinkers is probably because Sadhguru's Goal is to give a tiny drop of spirituality to every person in the world before he dies. I think a huge movement like that can stop or slow down all the "Pervertions" that will happen in the coming decades when large number of people will move from Stage Blue to Orange, like he predicts. Buddha also did a massive movement during his time, he just went from town to town and spread his teachings at a distilled level to as many people as possible. Atleast that's what the stories say. That is very different from giving advanced spiritual teachings to a very small niche of people like you do, which he also does in private in the ashram (I've seen it). I think we need both in the world, people like you and also him, to make the maximum impact.
-
@Leo Gura ??? LMAO Very much true but I just treat the Yuga Model like Spiral Dynamics. It's just a model
-
Yeah, agreed completely. The most respected model out there from Sri Yukteshwara Giri (Yogananda's Guru) says that we are in the beginning of Dvapara Yuga but Sadhguru says we are at the end of Dvapara Yuga. You got any opinion about it?
-
It's actually not just Shunya but also Sadhguru predicts a huge negative impact in the society within the next 15 years. Instead of an apocalyptic scenario he phrases it as a "World of Pervertions" . He mentions it at 4:35 Time Stamp of this video https://youtu.be/hWnFb8FzVMg?t=275

Yeah, I know what you mean, I was at his ashram for 6 months in India. He says right now the whole ashram is intentionally kept in a chaotic atmosphere for people to keep seeking but after he dies there will be strict regulations and protocol to avoid it going into havoc like you predicted. Also he says that he will stay back in his "Subtle Body" for 80 more years after he dies in order to take care of certain stuff. If that's true, maybe he won't allow it to turn into a Religion for sometime at least. (All of that was from his book "More than a Life" for anyone interested)

Have you also been to the Isha ashram in Tennessee? If so, I would love to hear your comparison of Shunyas ashram and Sadhgurus ashram (Isha Institute of Inner Sciences) in the US.

There is a video by Sadhguru in "Sadhguru Exclusive" platform where he dives deeper into if Animals are capable of getting Enlightened and how Ramana Maharshi once enlightened a cow. He talks about it in the videos below but doesnt go as deep as in the video mentioned above Short answer to if Animals are Enlightened is No. Enlightenment is the peak of human evolution. An animal can only get enlightened if they were a human being in a past life. If that is the case, it is possible to regress that animal's being back into his human form and enlighten him/her in that form. That is apparently how Ramana Maharshi did it to the cow called Lakshmi that used to hang around his ashram for decades. So that cow was a human in a past life and Ramana recognized that and did the necessary energetic process to enlighten the cow. This is just me paraphrasing what was mentioned by Sadhguru -

Sadhguru dives deep into Karma in this book. It might help to add to your current understanding about Karma Karma: A Yogi's Guide to Crafting Your Destiny by Sadhguru https://www.amazon.com/dp/0593232011/ref=cm_sw_r_wa_awdb_imm_ZSFHZ7V9EH7GPYG0KPQS -

Ramakrishna had to consciously create the karma of excessive desire for food in order to stay attached to the body after his enlightenment, otherwise his soul would just exit the body anytime (mahasamadhi). Maybe desiring excessively for "luxury" was Osho's way of staying attached to the body. Sadhguru explains it well in this video actually -
