  1. I can relate very much to all your points. I got into spirituality for the wrong reasons and only recently have I realized the selfish reasons I originally had going into spirituality. I thought if I get enlightened all my personal issues will be resolved and I will be a realized person among all my friends and family. It is funny thinking about it now. What I thought was Enlightenment is not it and never will be as you can't ever think about it. One tip I can give you to make your ego more humble and dissolve a bit is to do a volunteering service. I highly recommend it. Selfless giving will put others wellbeing in front of your own and it will definitely calm your ego down. Do you know the Isha Foundation? They have many opportunities to volunteer for many spiritual activities(mainly yoga)
  2. Yeah agree with you on that one. He is also the guy who got me into personal development 6 years ago but I drifted off into spirituality after a while. Elliot is a really cool dude and could be helpful for a lot of people who need stage orange self-help but I would love to see him evolve further in the future
  3. I tried it too. I know where you are coming from because I had a very uncomfortable experience as well. I think I also sat for about 10 hours. I was quite fine until around the 6-7 hours just extremely bored... But in the last few hours I had experienced a crippling feeling of loneliness which I haven't felt in about a 15 years since my childhood. I used to have these episodes as a child but almost forgot about it for 15 years until it came back after I sat alone in a room for 10 hours. I learned that I had some suppressed emotions that I had to deal with from this experience. Now I'm working on them as they definitely are hindering further growth in my spiritual path. It was quite powerful and I am thankful for Leo for spreading this knowledge.
  4. Yeah I think Niel is Orange as well. Not related to physics but Ramanujan was for example a stage Turquoise mathematician. His life work is very inspiring
  5. Can the most knowledabe group of Scientists create a human being from their vast knowledge of science? I think not. Forget about a human being, can a scientist recreate a blate of grass? I think not. We can study it and dissect it but never create it. Isn't that fishy? Don't you think there might be more to it than just using our intellect?
  6. My path started from the same video as you. But later on I learned so much from the spiral dynamics series and the "Importance of Real Yoga" video made me start the path of Yoga.
  7. Watching your video reminded me of what I read yesterday on a book written on Sadhguru's autobiography. He rarely speaks about this in public but the author was able to get it out of him. This shows me that yoga might actually have the possibility to reach such high levels of consciousness as you speak of in this video. It goes as follows: "After the experience I had on Chamundi Hill[where he had his first enlightenment experience] , time and space started flipping in me. Suddenly what was there was here; what was then was now. I could see everyone's past, present and future at the same time. It was one grand confusion. But it was also utterly beautiful. I realized then that all human experience is self-created. Though most human beings believe that their experience is created by events around them, I realized that it is hundred per cent self-created. You can make your experience whichever way you want. Just to feel a moment of pleasantness within oneself, how much indignity each human being is going through. Just to experience one moment of completeness, what a circus people are making of their lives. And it will never be enough. There will always be a longing in human beings for something more. This compulsion to go beyond compulsion is a fundamental human need. "
  8. Thank you guys, I think I will go for 5 meo first in that case as planned before. Cheers ?
  9. Would you recommend to skip NN DMT and go straight to 5 meo? My only experience as of yet is with LSD and Mushrooms... Or it doesn't even matter actually?
  10. What do you think of this perspective? All the talks about how psychedelics work on the brain are just how an experience on a higher level of consciousness manifests itself on a lower level consciousness? In this case, the non-dual experience manifests itself on the body, which is at a physical level of consciousness, as chemicals and brain receptors? Just like how your feelings feel very real to you but on the level of your body, it manifests itself as hormones or chemicals in your brain. I mean, the deep enlightening experiences on a psychedelic should somehow probably manifest itself on the level of the body, right? So the scientific community concluding that there is nothing more to psychedelics than receptors in your brain seem quite ignorant if you think this way.
  11. Thank you! If anyone wants a bunch of recipes of very healthy vegan/vegetarian meals from South India, just buy the book ''Taste of Well-being'' by Sadhguru online
  12. It's also on Spotify. I listen to them too, it's some Turquoise music in my opinion
  13. True, I was actually given the same advice from the Isha Ashram itself before joining. Will consider this
  14. Cheers! Will get on with the research
  15. Yeah I've had a very hard time trying to find any cult like characteristics in Isha as well and I think most of that credit goes to Sadhguru. However even his Ashram has had major criticism back in the day(due to the mahasamadhi of his wife) and I'm not surprised Mooji also gets criticised, however the former is due to lack of spiritual understanding. I wanted to know as I was planning to join the Isha Ashram for a while for a volunteering program. Thank you.
  16. I have an opportunity to order 5 meo from a research chemical company in Europe. Their website seems legit. However I guess due to legal reasons, they specifically say "Not for Human Consumption" or something along those lines. But the chemical is exactly "5 MEO DMT". Is it safe to consume it and ignore their warning?
  17. @Leo Gura What is your opinion on the Ashram of Sadhguru? The Isha Foundation. Is it a real cult from a cult dynamic perspective?
  18. @Shadowraix and @Inliytened1 Thank you for your replies! I'm more eager now to try it @Leo Gura Cheers
  19. I haven't tried it so my experience is null on 5 meo. But how does it help with enlightenment in the long run becauce you come back to your normal state of consciousness after a while right? If it the experience of non-duality you get on 5 meo which makes it easier for you to fully embody an enlightenment experience in the future if it happens? Or is it nano increments of your base line level of consciousness after each trip?
  20. Cheers. Are you planning to try it?
  21. Yeah I've read and heard about similar stories as well. Apparently kids remember information about past lives until age of 4 or so but then forget it afterwards. I dont remember where I read it though. I can understand your curiosity, I would be so interested to know more in that situation as well
  22. That's indeed a very consistent roll you got going there. My suggestion would be to just bring in your inner awareness when you tend to compulsively engage in activities like aimlessly browsing or surfing social media. If your awareness is strong enough and your habits are not so strong, you should be able to shed them away this way
  23. I learned this the hard way as well and I'm still experimenting with it.. But essentially I learned from Sadhguru and from my own experiences to NOT quit a compulsive habit cold turkey... Becauce even if you stop that particular habit, your conpulsivness would come back to your life in other forms. When I tried quiting porn sometime ago, I found myself for example heavily using social media more than I ever did before and it seemed very compulsive. What Sadhguru says is that, the only cure to this compulsiveness is consciousness. So if you just integrate a very serious meditation / yoga session, it could greatly help. Also don't force yourself into it, find a yoga program or a meditation program that you might be inclined to do in the beginning.
  24. A lot of positive replies but I will add my experience too I've been doing it for the past 9 months almost every morning and it has been a wonderful assistant to get myself ready for my yoga / medication session. Also my resistance against cold weather has improved a lot.
