Leo I understand this whole issue is so complicated right now and you don't have to agree with me, but what would you do if your friends and their family members you know from Las Vegas were hostages in mexico and found in a risk of executing, when their parents, friends and siblings are blocking the border to reduce aid from entering the bombed mexico in order to put much more pressure on mexico leaders - when they know much of this aid is abused and utilized by mexican terror groups for themselves - until mexico leaders will agree to release their loved ones. Would you just arrest them with all of your power? or that you would round the edges, and let them partially block the passage because you identified with them deeply?

The west, within the level of leaders, parliaments and upper half older (ages 40+) population is more mature, experienced, knows Israel much better over a much broader time frame perspective, in comparison to the average pro palestinian activist in the streets. Also, the west during last decade is going through a growing threat from his own population, and deep down knows what Israel represents and the function of Israel values, abilities and experience in facing those kind of threats.

@Merkabah Star I think you don't appreciate what an organization with a rooted ideology and motivation to oppose Israel's existance will do every day over 30 years of existance to offset physical inferiority with other compensatory strategics it will develop when have such a desire and determination.

Though I think there are many problems in your story that don't make sense to me at all, I have to admit Israel fell into hamas traps in almost every facet in this war, does mistakes and isn't careful as I wanted to think. However, the dominant paradigm of the pro palestinian camp about the intentions and motives of every side is deeply and fundamentaly flawed and limited to my opinion, but this is hard to think differently right now in the heat of the events happening these days.
