@Vrubel The poisonous Ben Gvir wants now to join the core war cabinet. I glad Gantz left them this evening. Now the coalition has only 64 members. From below 61 they will collapse.

Former head of IDF (2002-2005) and minister of defense (2013-2016).

I see this as a deeper issue than the Bible because Jews were dominant here for many centuries until their most significant deportation in the 6th century. The right wing policy although isn't justified, is a karma result of a long term memory from what happened centuries ago, and actually not so far ago but from the 6th century and above. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_Jews_under_Muslim_rule

I tend to agree with that especially in this current most extreme ever government, though I think our right wing is also dynamic and radicalizes in response to the other side's attacks and strategic.
-
I agree about Netanyahu strategy to weaken the PLO and boost hamas which was a shame. Aside to that though there were actions costed Israel Billions of dollars that go against this aspiration at least in Gaza, with enormous efforts to establish an unpenetratable upper and especially lower ground deffenses with revolutionary technology, what would not have been done if the governent wanted to ethnically cleans Gaza.

But what about the exact opposite policy Israel did during all the recent years prior to oct 7th in order to avoid war as much as possible? Even the right wing is not a one-piece and updates its strategic in response to traumas/triggers.

@zazen I don't want to disparage anyone's suffering, but even being in the Jungle but with your tribe and with an humanitarian aid comes these days regulary to the tents region, is still miles away better than to be alone in a tunnel, without sunlight, cannot move or communicate with anyone, cannot control anything, defenseless and at the mercy of hamas people that will decide if and when they will want to murder you.
-
@Karmadhi Keep a check on your side's double standards at least sometimes.
-
@lina Ok then Ben Gurion was indeed quite far right-wing according to that. There is no "fundmanental" or "one" Zionism. Every side in the political spectrum see this term differently. At the deep sense there is a reason Jews returned here.
-
@Raze There were negotiations for many years. I won't dispute that maybe Israel was also too tough in its demands, but there was a genuine desire from Israel to acheive a deal.

The group did Oct 7 aren't interested in 67 but in 48.

+1 ❤️

@Karmadhi Nothing is compared to being alone with zero control on your life, utterly deffenseless and with no freedom of motion. A family in Gaza are in a far better initial position and the tents area is 99.9% safe.
-
@Karmadhi Honestly you can't compare the horror of hostage to anything else in this war which is in another league. But there is a place to argue about the price in human lives infront of the result. However a cold number comparison is not the proper way here. Add to the equation that part of the civilians allowed hamas to hide hostages in their homes and part of them are innocent. So yes there isn't a clear cut answer here, and anyway I think a hostage deal is needed.

In response to Smotrich's video in which he says we have to settle in Gaza.

@Raze Iran arms hamas and hezbollah and funded terror actions against Israelis abroad. They (the regime) want to choke Israel from all directions to eventually eliminate it.
-
@Raze The Iranian regime aspires to eliminate Israel. You don't need to be pro Israel to think that, just to listen to their statements directly.

Former head of IDF (2002-2005) and minister of defense (2013-2016) Moshe Ya'alon.

@Karmadhi With all the problems, empirically speaking IDF ratio (combatants : civilians) in this war is better than any other urban war against terror done in the past by any country.

Stop listening to addicted/depended costumers afftected by problematic pharmaceutical drugs. That is what you asked now.

@BlueOak I like the attitude of the Iranian people. They are very experienced in the consequences of lack of democracy, an experience that europeans are lacking, and have a significant initial advantage in their ability to foresee the dangers of their regime's proxies ideology and its potential to influence Europe too.

I also think it will be demilitarized at least at the beginning although they still have an armed security force that co-operates already with IDF for years to suppress hamas in this area.
