  1. This isn't what happened. Jews and Arabs actions escalated together from 1920s until the peak in 1947. But anyway if Israelis cease to be strong enough to defend their country so yes, this is how the middle east works. And Europe too by the way, just that European countries are protected by NATO alliance.
  2. Jews were here the majority for centuries and then became a minority for more centuries. We can also claim that we came back to the land other people has "stolen" from us. This is what happen on any land on earth throughout history and the way almost every country has been established.
  3. @Twentyfirst The picture from far away will always look more simplistic and narratived, but this isn't the truth of the high resolution private life you see when you live with an Israeli (or an Italian, or a Spanish) and you see the person himself and his individual world.
  4. @Twentyfirst What do you think about your family/child/wife? What people in Italy think about their family? Quite similarly here too. You grasp Israelis in a very stereotipical way. I did my mandatory service in IDF in a non-combatant role.
  5. @Vrubel And today Rishon Letzion beach. There are prettier zones there but somehow the boardwalk renewing created a nice view.
  6. A market in Gaza. Weaken the claims about "starving" there, what though could be the case for couple of weeks in February or March when humanitarian aid was indeed lessen temporary then, and caused different degrees of more hunger to the weaker sectors of their society.
  7. There is indeed an emotional numbness oftentimes here when it comes to oct7th.
  8. As long as this subconscious discrimination is keep going in a way that Palestinians are viewed here as poor helpless animals and Israelis are human beings then of course you will exempt them from any responsibility under this skewed view.
  9. @Raze Numbers aren't an indication to almost anything in a war of western democracy against guerilla when the motivations and intentions of both sides are completely opposite.
  10. @zazen Or that now there is an active enormous passion to darken one side. This is true the the right wing way of thinking falls into hamas psychological campain's traps all the time and along the way influences certain % of the soldiers.
  11. @Raze From the moment you said that Israel did "many times far worse things than oct7" then I can't take your message seriously anymore because this is so obviously false that I don't know where to start to explain why. About the reasonable part of your message that luckily was before that sentence, Gaza and West Bank population get B-class conditions this is right, but you overlook their 50% part of responsibility to that.
  12. @zazen Come on. The soldiers in the videos are numerous soldiers out of thousands. Of course the reporters/investigators will cherry pick only the bad cases.
  13. But you wouldn't want a random land! You want the place you are attached to emotionally. YOUR place.
  14. So too any other country that has been established by force which means almost every country you know about. Because they got to a conclusion they cannot stay any longer without their own state just like you would think if you were in their situation after what happened to them. A mutual escalation between both sides started in 1920s until the peak in the civil war of 1947.
  15. This is just the right wingers. What me and my family think is that the physical country is connected to our nation in a deep sense but we understand that this is right to the Arabs here too and we therefore support two state solution.
  16. Yes the problem is designed in such a way that most extreme parts are the closest physically to each other, what then distorts the perception of the sides about the other side and create illusionary view on it.
  17. @zazen You put it very interestingly and so I don't want to contradict but to add from myself to what you wrote. The mind tends to see lower stages than him in a negativity bias, but a careful look and a direct interaction with a person will show you also heartwarming things any one of those stages has in them too, with a direct connection to god/infinite (in the way my intuition grasps it). The difference is that the lower stages aren't aware to their high intelligence though it exists all the time, but they have less degrees of freedom in their motion and in how they can interact with it, in analogue to the term in physics and mathematics. This is like blue can move in one dimension, orange in two and etc if to put it intuitively. Also those distilled versions are rarely shown in reality (the midway is the common one). My physics teacher in high school ones said that "with the physics, the kids learn to be human beings" and in a sense this is true, the orange thinking makes you a restrained person that takes you away from violence and make you more respectful. He like casted blue and orange together into one integrated thing, what isn't uncommon to see if the development goes in a transcend and include healthy way.
  18. @Danioover9000 Where have you been in Israel?
  19. I got addicted to the port-boardwalk routh.
  20. @Danioover9000 A boring place cannot cause such emotional charge to it
  21. Former senior commander in Israeli Air Force and today and during recent years one of the biggest activists against Netanyahu, Amir Haskel, joined the protests for the return of the hostages. In the second photo - distributing flyers about the demonstrations in the train, a week ago.
