Anything from Progressive Rock artists who can play their instruments, create structurally interesting musics, with varying themes often blending with the lyrics, thus creating even concept albums as a whole, sound landscapes which are great for visualisation (most songs with vocals will do as well imagining their own stories) will do. I recommend: The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway by Genesis, IQ - Tales From The Lush Attic f.e. As well as Jazz - Hard Bop, Post Bop, Fusion. Great exercise to focus on every part of individual instrument. It clearly shows how little aware we are and all we care about is just a simple melody to tap our feet to and not discovering style and passion of every individual band member.

I've been doing it as much as I can for the last few months. When I'm away from home (unfortunetly most of the time) and have showers without temperature regulations I can't do anything about it. I think it might be something, somewhere a little bit close to 'Do Nothing' practice as It's a lot about releasing the resistance in you. Feels really good btw. -

Well, I prefer to do it with eyes open as that makes it easier to attain 'this state'. It may sound illogical but being surrounded by all these things around your meditation environment that you can be focused upon while doing this, makes it easier to disconnect than with the eyes closed and seeing nothing. As for the eyes, blinking is natural thing, Leo said that's one of the only things you can do while doing that just like breathing for exemple. Just don't put attention into it. -

Good morning everyone. I've been trying to meditate cross legged position Easy Pose 'Sukhasana' for few last months. The biggest problem I get is a lower back pain that distracts from the meditation practice and makes it harder, even brings me to the point when I have to stop meditating. I tried few yoga poses like pigeon, bound angle pose, cat cow pose as well as stretching Head-to-Knee Forward Bend and few others I can't find name of. Maybe they make me less stiff and more flexed but I still feel that my back is week and I tend to curl it, also the muscles near pelvis area seem to be tense. I'm using support (4-6 inches of blankets to up the pelvis). Is there anyone who experienced the same issue or/ and knows how to fix it? I'd really like to finally start meditating seriously but that's the issue that keeps me preventing from doing that.
