@VadsterLobster I would have to say that it's mostly the "subconscious" that has knee jerk responses to prevent the We can't remap our entire outlook on life in one night, not to mention in one video. For example, someone can tell you, don't let them get to you! you might say "yaya fine i know." When really, you are still irritated by those people. It can take years to not let people irritate you, so unless you're reaffirming these things everyday and taking it seriously, you won't drill it in to your subconscious. Another example could be "don't make assumptions." In the context of a negative assumption of course. You say this again and again for 1000 days until you stop fabricating negative assumptions of others. Especially the you've lived thinking certain way the harder it'll be for you to change your ways.

@Arcangelo i'm glad you decided to ask this question on the forum. This will be overcame.
-
@cetus56 Spot on, i also think that fear of being alone and accepting the outcomes of our relationships for better or worse, for our own good should be overcame before attempting to develop a secure enduring relationship.
-
@cetus56 Excellent story, sometimes when everything is running it's course life throws a curveball at us. To quote Smashmouth "I thought love was only true in fairy tales Meant for someone else but not for me Love was out to get me That's the way it seemed Disappointment haunted all of my dreams" "I thought love was more or less a giving thing The more I gave the less I got oh yeah What's the use in tryin' All you get is pain When I wanted sunshine I got rain" Both followed by "Then I saw her face, now I'm a believer Not a trace, of doubt in my mind I'm in love, I'm a believer I couldn't leave her if I tried" Each part of the song has a running theme, that when we least expect something good to happen it happens. @theking00I think you were right about life being meaningless. The thing about that is we create the meaning. This can't be a bad or good thing since it has no meaning.
-
@theking00 Sometimes people have faith, other times people say everything is pure luck and sometimes we think things happen to us. Why is it how other times we are making things happen, or so it seems? Why is this? I attribute it to our locus of control, you definitely can't cantrol what's happening to you or how you feel but you can control how you perceive your reactions. You are in charge, for now and eventually the time will come for all of us.

@Arcangelo If you really got it wouldn't you think that you'd accept this feeling of regret and not worry about it? it has truly worked for me, i am not saying you don't understand it but to apply this understanding to your daily life would inherently eliminate regret and give unconditional acceptance. Anxiety/Panic is a sensation but it usually comes in form of a rationalization to fear something like my heart will stop, or i haven't had enough sex in form of a regret Etc. To be clear you can escape it once you accept it, and never feel regret again. have you found a CBT therapist? I have had much success with that form of therapy in my severe stages of anxiety. Keep moving forward. Goodluck
-
@Arcangelo Well my main idea is that regret is a condition of being human and the only way to get around it is to stop resisting and accept it. I'm also not sure if you're kidding or not about the whole kid thing though. I have no way of knowing you're 40 There's nothing wrong with this if you're ashamed of feeling this way you'll see it in a negative light, when you look at regret from a more nuteral perspective you'll be able to better cope. Or atleast i have in my experience, good luck.
-
@Arcangelo When you're panicking it's not easy to meditate, or even quit weed. So remember these won't be easy things, you could always continue with them later on when you're in a better frame of mind. I'm fimiliar with these feelings too, for that i'll say everything i think you might not know that helped me when i was in your position. You say sex is your greatest regret? "not having lots of sex" That is normal, do not feel ashamed for this. You are only human. This thing with regret is, you will have lots of sex and soon regret not being able to hold down a relationship. Maybe you'll do that and when you reach 40 you wondered why you never had a kid? Or you'll wonder why you didn't and just pursued your career. This is the nature of regret, there is no way to quell it besides acceptence. If you're in denial of regret, you're in denial of the very nature of mankind. Everyone will feel it sooner or later and you're feeling it earlier on, this exposure will help you learn to cope with it in time. What we can't do is control how we feel but we can control how we perceive our emotions.

i think your truly scared of death, so i ventured into some quotes on my phone. I remember a lecture i watched on Marcus arilius, the speaker said "Marcus arilius believed that all men die, but not all men die whining" I'll give you the most relative quotes i have to try and help change your view. "A man who died of old age will meet the same conditions as one who dies prematurely" - marcus arilius "Loss is nothing but change" -marcus arilius "Do not despise death but be well content with it" - marcus arilius "It’s something like going on an ocean voyage. What can I do? Pick the captain, the boat, the date, and the best time to sail. But then a storm hits… What are my options? I do the only thing I am in a position to do, drown — but fearlessly, without bawling or crying out to God, because I know that what is born must also die." - Epictetus, Discourses You could always read the power of now, damn... whenever i recomend that book I know people are thinking "what do i need to read this book for? It is so obvious be present." It gets into so much more than that, it helped me learn to ground myself when i was going through a scary 2-3 year bout of depersonalization and panic attacks. Maybe it'll help you, hope i could.

This video seems relative, let's slow down for a second this might be getting a little convoluted. I also don't have anything to say to support or defend about this video. -

@Shadowraix i agree, i once smoked weed every day for several years. Then i quit and experienced the same thing. -
Before you read, i'm not saying passion flower will do this to everyone. I know passion flower is not at the same intensity as other substances. This is why i found it unique and a good post. update: i provided a few links to help surface more evidence that this isn't an isolated incident. 1 https://www.google.com/amp/the-lucid-movement.tumblr.com/post/77596853726/plants-and-herbs-for-lucid-dreaming-pt1/amp 2 http://dreamherbs.com/herbal-products/passiflora-incarnata/ 3 https://corrosion-doctors.org/Dreaming Please feel free to only tell me your experiences. Every time i have passion flower, a tablespoon twice a day, i get vivid dreams. Vividness varies from person to person, what i can tell you is that it's worth some looking into. Passion flower, is helping me in my daily life to feel more grounded and centered. I feel more balanced and stress free, not at the same level as stronger plants and drugs will of course.

Awesome! I completely agree, such a thrill ! there's this commonality that vivid dreams seem to have with psychedelics. Going into each experience the emotional baggage we carry can rise to surface, our outlook on life, things we're ignoring. In short, it's almost like a form of self development. honestly i spent so much time writing on this post, more than i'd like to admit! I'm working on proper sentence structure, context and being straight to the point. i'm getting that adult education It's somewhat difficult still to get my message across in a mature, understandable fashion but I hope things are clear enough. Especially since everything can be often misconstrued through the internet. -

@SoonHei Before ever having passion flower daily, I never had vivid dreams like this and never expected it either. I should just stop there but i believe it's worth mulling over. The only truth you should trust is your own personal research and experience. Such a fantastic read. https://www.google.com/amp/the-lucid-movement.tumblr.com/post/77596853726/plants-and-herbs-for-lucid-dreaming-pt1/amp http://dreamherbs.com/herbal-products/passiflora-incarnata/ https://corrosion-doctors.org/Dreaming is Personal/Herbs.htm I also have experienced vivid dreams after psychedelics and other plants too and I'm definitely intelligent enough to notice the difference. between regular dreaming and enhanced dreaming, maybe you are unable to vivid dream i don't know. Some people can't and never will. Well, If you don't believe me... You can try giving this routine a run for your money 2-4 table spoons daily, of dried passion flower before bed and have it steeped for 5 minutes. Even possibly for an entire week to potentiate and increase vividness, if you want something more realistic. -

Try reading up on paradoxical intention. I'm almost positive he's implying this, to stop spinning your gears if you aren't getting where you want to be. I also think you're implying that none of these exist which is fine too. -

That was a great read, thank you. I'd like to say i agree you have a big and valid point, we shouldn't be ignoring and defending ignorance either. Maybe the idea of spiral dynamics goes against spirituality and non labeling. Maybe it has to do get to lesser distinguished people, i'm not exactly sure. I do agree it's ridiculous to believe you can categorize everyone but they did make those categories broad. If anything most people don't fit all descriptions of one type, it's just a generalization ofcourse. Even though we deceive ourselves to enjoy certain activities, it doesn't make us lesser than. This isn't a bad thing. When people finally realize their deceptive nature through it's many forms, they'd become unintentionally and unonowingly discontent and dispondent, feeling discouraged and pessimistic at some sort of subconscious level. This is why neutrality is important. You don't need to attempt telling me that a brain can't exist or everything is an illusion i understand these concepts and experienced many things that favour me into thinking this type of way over the the objective perspective. -

@Shin "None and all. They all point to the same «state»." I concur and to be candid i'd say that anything more specific, not that what is said is at all specific, Gets into the feild of nit picking. -

I wanted to give the most basic opinion i could on kratom and actually doubted my comment were worthy of a reply such as yours, Thank you. I can't say 3 grams is moderate, or even a low dose and i shouldn't have because each person and strain is so unique like i emphasized. I would never say though that 20gs is moderate either that's completely irresponsible. I can't believe someone would do that but at the same time, i don't expect anything more from people either. Although, this may seem hypocritical, your dose to me is considerd low from how you describe it. I don't know if you ever had a high dose, in contrast a moderate dose is going to partly effect productivity by definition, by it naturaly being half productive and half unproductive. Though, You may just have a higher threshold, i have high thresholds for certain things which would normally ruin someone elses day. If you had a real high dose before i'm sure you'd understand the laziness that can come with it. My whole idea here of low, medium, high could of easily been confused for a sedating strain. As far as strains go, If my strains generally are more slow, medium, fast as labled and fit this acception more than 50% of the time, then it's enough to count strains as being a half decent measure. Doses vary from person to person we all have a different lean body mass index, height and different experience to a certain extent. Some kratom varieties have been known to have very little active compounds which means you can abide by different dosing ratios. But, like you said! "its basically all the same, there is no difference." I do agree don't, get me wrong. -

@Bluebird You are right! I want to build on your idea in the best way i can. First of all, Productivity can be subjective, varying from person to person, if you have a goal and are working towards it then that can be considered productive, to you. I'd also add that, in the pursuit of traditional enlightenment people would not be concerned with kratom in general, unlike the people attending this forum with more of an open mind and that of which i'm still new to. I also wouldn't go as far to say doing high doses that can be quite sedating, "high doses" which is the context i put this in, does not give me the same type of enjoyment as enlightenment. Since i try to see it from a neutral perspective. Lastly, i think lots of it is subjective, unique and personal. We're all a little different when it comes to kratom and how we're approaching & interpreting our enlightenments. Not to mention what we do with ourselves after we experience these things. -

As a rule of thumb i will never talk to anyone about kratom but since i've scanned through this forum, i like to imagine there is somewhat of a mature adult audience so i'll break that rule. Do i think anyone or everyone should take kratom? No, infact i'd advise against it, clearly as a whole we're incapable of making calculated decisions and using moderation. Peoples minds are so closed and kratom isn't much of a mind opening substance honestly. What about dosing? Kratom comes in so many different strains and each strain can be different in strength & effect. Even the same strain can be different depending on what plant it came from. No two snowflakes are alike, that means no two alkaloid profiles and plants are either. Kratom can be enjoyable and i think it's one of the more mature substances out there, i certainly don't feel like making bad decisions or making a mockery of myself on it like i do with alcohol. At low doses, i get a clear and gentle stimulant and nootropic effect my verbal recall, fluency and physical energy seems increased without any increase in heart rate, which i find unique too since i am sensitive to stimulants. At higher doses i feel a much different effect, and the likely hood for being that responsible full of energy icon i was at low doses disappears and the effects start to become very sensual, even though it is a good feeling i avoid high dosing because i don't ever want to sacrifice productivity for enjoyment and neither should anyone else. It clearly could help alot of people from reading all of the pleasent experiences online. There isn't much respect, research and knowledge when it comes to people trying new substances. More and more dangerous ones are taking place of safer alternatives everyday. -
@now is forever exactly, you are right and i agree. I noticed I basically repeated what you said, then got confused at the comments, haven't spent much time on forums lol

Don't get me wrong, you are right in a way, to me it's only half of the process. it's definitely not an instantaneous fix. Patience, that's all. To realize, "it's not our fault we can feel these emotions" and "we don't have to feel this way" is a huge change of context, don't you think?
