  1. I could not disagree more. Cancel culture doesn't allow for people to acknowledge their mistakes and grow from them. In order to get someone to change, you must educate them about what they've done wrong and why it's not the right way to act. Canceling them does nothing to correct their actions and just completely removes them from the equation altogether. Then from that point on they will be wearing a scarlet letter that they can never escape from. There should be very few actions that should follow someone forever if they have acknowledged their wrongdoing and have course-corrected.
  2. I agree that might be the intended point of talking to white people about racism, but oftentimes the people doing the talking are not effective at communicating this information.
  3. But I think you're missing the point. That is what makes people like Putin and Trump such great public speakers. They are speaking to the average man at a level that they will understand which is what makes their speeches so successful. You don't need to use big words to have an eloquent speech. A speech can be eloquent by how persuasive and effective it is and Trump and Putin both do that every time they speak.
  4. @Solonius you think his support is diminishing? I haven't been following this election/polls super closely but he still seems to be gaining traction to me. He's polling higher than more notable candidates in the race
  5. I really like Andrew and his policies. I don't know enough about the economy to say whether or not UBI is a good idea or not but a lot of his other policies are way ahead of others. Just take a look at his policy page. It covers so many different topics. https://www.yang2020.com/policies/ Leo has said in the past that he is too far out there (paraphrasing) to get elected and I kind of agree. I think before someone like Andrew can get elected we will have to have a Bernie type in office. Move from a more orange stage to green (Bernie) before we can get to yellow (Andrew).
  6. For a while I was really into watching all sorts of self help videos on YouTube. If I remember correctly I kept seeing Leo's videos in related videos. His thumbnails and straightforward titles definitely helped suck me in.
  7. The episodes are also available on Apple podcasts. That's the way I've been listening lately.
  8. IIRC Leo said he had to start his business at stage orange to make it financially viable and as his audience grew he was able to transition to higher stages.
  9. I've had the same thought before. What is it that makes something devilish? My thought was that humans are the only devils because we are self-aware and are driven by egoic desires whereas other animals are driven only by survival. If an animal attacks a human it is most likely doing it out of fear and a need to survive. If a jealous ex-boyfriend attacks his ex-girlfriend he isn't acting out of fear, but instead anger and rage.
  10. I wouldn't say intelligence is perceived as uncool at all. However, people to do think it's uncool to use intelligence to put down others who aren't as intelligent as they are. Intelligence needs to be accompanied by humility and understanding. The problem is that when people realize they're smarter than others they feel superior and talk down to people.
  11. @kindayellow That is super interesting!! I never really put much thought into the color of his hair or what his tattoos might represent. I certainly don't doubt it. X was certainly no stranger to symbolism and the deeper meaning of things.
  12. What are you going on about? You think Leo has more or less dedicated his entire life to self-actualization, but just forgot to learn how to socialize? It seems like you dont have any idea what Joe Rogan likes to talk about. He talks about metaphysical topics all the time. He's very fond of people like Alan Watts and Terrance McKenna and all they did was talk about the "illusionary nature of reality."
  13. @7thLetter X was truly one of a kind. He was able to capture anger and emotion in his music in a way that was really comforting. It was so interesting to watch X go through his own self-actualization journey. It seemed to me like he had come to terms with his past and had turned over a new leaf. It's a shame that his life was cut short because I think he would have continued to make a huge impact on society. I found this thread on his subreddit a while back and I think you might find it interesting. It talks about how X used Solfeggio frequencies in his music. https://www.reddit.com/r/XXXTENTACION/comments/8v3t1a/is_this_what_he_meant/
  14. @kieranperez also consider making it yourself. There are instructions online and they seem fairly straight forward. I plan on extracting some soon
  15. @Leo Gura that's a good point. I guess I like to understand other people's perspectives even if they're extremely limited, but it's definitely a major distraction. I would to hear more from you on these issues. I know you've endorsed Bernie because you believe he's the next step in the spiral and I tend to agree. There are so many opinions out there on social and political issues that it's hard to differentiate insight vs. Ignorance.
  16. I was waiting for this to get posted here and get a "less bias" view of things. I haven't watched the debate yet mostly because I'm not sure I can sit through 3 hours of Zizek's lisp, but I couldn't get an accurate reading because Peterson's subreddit and r/ChapoTrapHouse are both blind to their own ignorance.
  17. @Joseph Maynor people can have an enlightenment experience at any stage of development. There can be red, blue, orange, etc. enlightened people. There is a big difference between growing up and waking up.
  18. The one thing that I'd add is to not judge them for their slow/non-existent development. We all start at stage 0 when we are born and then begin to move on the spiral. People move through the stages at different rates, but it isn't a guarantee that they will continue to grow and evolve. Often times they get stuck at what Ken Wilber calls a station and they just live out their lives with those values and never go beyond that. As other people said lead by example and try to show them the light. You can certainly try to help them down the path, but ultimately it has to be their decision to make the change. You could try to give them videos to watch to try to open their eyes to new ideas.
  19. Dolores Cannon did something very similar. She was a past-life regressionist and hypnotherapist and she would take people into the deepest levels of hypnosis where their brains were at Delta waves which are the same type that is seen in deep sleep. The people would tell her all about past lives that they've lived and she came to the conclusion that we are immortal spiritual beings living a temporary human experience. It could be bullshit, but it's certainly interesting to think about. Why do thousands of people under hypnosis speak about past lives and what we call heaven. Is this just a coincidence and simply our imaginations going haywire? Or maybe there is some validity to it...
  20. Weed is definitely a powerful tool for self-discovery and raising your consciousness, but you have to use it responsibly. This past year I smoked weed every day for 5 months straight and then one day I dropped my class bowl and shattered it. It was definitely a blessing in disguise. I now feel much freer because I'm not dependent on a substance. Terrance Mckenna was a big proponent of weed, but he said to use it sparingly. That way when you have that high, its more intense and you get the full effect of the drug.
  21. Here is an audiobook I found useful about the subconscious mind.
  22. I can kind of relate to what your experiencing. I'm studying media production at college, but am also interested in personal development, philosophy, etc. I want to make videos relating to these topics but in the past, I've had the mindset of "who says I'm qualified to speak on these topics." Maybe try writing scripts while doing research and not try to do what Leo does to start. I'm amazed at Leo's ability to speak for hours on end with no jump cuts but to get to that level takes time. If you lack the motivation then try to break down the steps involved in making the video Maybe start by just making a script/storyboard so you can have an idea in your head of what you want the video to look like in the end. Then the next day record the audio or video that you need. Then the following day sit down and edit the video. When you start off you aren't going to be perfect so don't sweat every single detail or else you will never get anywhere.
  23. Here is an article talking about the process. The video of the movie vs. brain scan is in the article. It's pretty incredible. https://news.berkeley.edu/2011/09/22/brain-movies/
