  1. Old post, I’ll drop it here. The old OP was asking about sports, so that’s why you see sports. I find lucid dreaming to be very much like vivid imagination. I prefer normal vivid dreams, they are surprising and relaxing; lucid dreams are predictable imo.
  2. Huh... it’s weird. Not to mention no other teacher has spoken about this. I thought chemicals might create “hallucinations” which might break certain beliefs in the mind, thus creating space for consciousness. Idk anymore. I might be wrong, this whole thing is so suspect. Leo not being able to change reality is also suspect. He says it’s because it’s insignificant when you’re awake. Maybe... or maybe he just can’t. Idk
  3. Can’t you alter reality so than you are God-like in you normal consciousness? Don’t you want to? This desire, It shouldn’t be any different from the desire to awaken.
  4. @Leo Gura But isn’t consciousness mysterious and non-physical? Then why is consciousness “dependent” on very physical things like chemicals and neurotransmitters?
  5. @Leo Gura Don’t you think not being able to alter reality by “imagination” is suspect? If you can’t do it then how do you know you have Total Awakening? And what if in the future they have more potent psychedelics with fuller awakenings? It’s weird. Also, I get that you mean we can achieve God by manipulating neurotransmitters and brain chemistry. That means we can in theory have a “living god” in the future if we explore biology and chemistry more?
  6. Probably long and intense concentration practices. Maybe Kriya yoga Yea, I notice that too. Idk about Kriya yoga though. You sit and let go but thoughts keep rising and falling. Your body and mind deteriorates. And there’s little depth to it. That’s where concentration comes in. You let go of distraction to focus on consciousness. Actually surrendering also involves concentration, you’re letting go of the urge to get up when you are sitting down and letting go. Concentration and meditation converge at one point.
  7. Also what practice, other than psychedelics, do you consider to be the best? Second to psychedelics?
  8. @Leo Gura What do you think about just sitting down and not getting up ever? Just observing reality; total surrender?
  9. @Leo Gura What practices do you do nowadays? Or do you just do psychedelics?
  10. It's easy to make light of people when you're not in their shoes. Some people here have trouble getting up on time. Many people are here to make their lives better and not to merge back into God or enlighten. It certainly seems possible to attain a level of understanding where you are reasonably satisfied with life. That's what most people, including Emerald, want. Enlightenment is a RADICAL endeavor not meant for everyone, but they will have to surrender to it eventually.
  11. These things can't be intellectualized. Debating about this is useless.
  12. True. @Leo Gura But you also said in the past enlightenment is not for everyone. Maybe this is as far as she wants to go intuitively?
  13. @Emerald Maybe you're not meant to enlighten and surrender fear to that extent. If it's meant to happen it will happen. Just ordinary life now huh. I actually admire your decision if it comes from your intuition. Follow your intuition. We're not here to send heart emojis. Questioning and scrutinizing is why the reply function exists. Sooner or latter you're gonna have to surrender your human form so no worries my friend .
  14. Okay but, how do you know what they told you can be trusted? Is it that 'you just knew' in that moment, through 'consciousness and intuition'? I've had plenty of dreams with messages but that doesn't mean they're all to be trusted or I should listen to them. Don't people with schizophrenia hear voices from 'god' that they are 'better of' not listening to? Also, What do you intent on doing now? What do you want to surrender specifically? Is consciousness = surrendering iyo?
  15. @Emerald Why is there this division between Divine Feminine and Divine Masculine in your trip? As an observer who never did psychedelics, it seems like your implicit thoughts being projected into your trip. Kind of like how Freud talked about dreams being inspired by your daily life. Do you wanna speak to that?
  16. This contradicts your surrender comment. This is fear talking, I hope your mind changes in the future. If not for anything do it for us . I mean what else are you going to do? You don't have to "solve it". Do it if you want to... to explore... if your intuition allows you... for shits and giggles.
  17. This seems to come out of fear. Why don't you surrender to the fear?
  18. @charles1 You’re being silly to be honest. Just read the books and see for yourself if they help you and make sense to you. You’re not “epistemologically submitting” to actualized.org ?. Only thing you’re submitting to is the fear and judgment of your own mind. How do you step outside of your house without knowing 100% that you won’t die? Everything, including this work requires risk. Try to connect with direct experience rather than getting lost in thinking and logic. That will solve your problems ?.
  19. Yes, he doesn’t seem to be talking about being conscious of that, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he knows it’s all imagination. He keeps his highest teachings very secretive. I remember a video of him talking about mind being an “imagination tree” where you can imagine whatever you want, but that could just be ordinary self-help. @Dand Sadhguru’s stance on psychedelics is more nuanced. In the video he is talking about recreational drugs. He does agree psychedelics can be used to awaken. He is tight lipped about these things for obvious reasons. I made a post which might explain his stance better.
  20. @Leo Gura Have you been able to heal your thyroid with your imagination? Didn’t Sadhguru heal himself and I swear I heard him say reality is imaginary. He does say some of the same stuff as you. So why is he not awake?
  21. I'm not really trying to convince him. I'm pointing out obvious trends. I don't see his channel benefiting from the backlash. It defeats the purpose of having a channel if it doesn't get views and people hate it. I think he knows what he's getting himself into so I'm not worried. But who cares, the hate won't be directed at us. If you like his content support the channel, and if you can afford it support him on patreon, no need to get peer pressured by society.
  22. I’m saying he can present his material in a non-creepy, more palatable way. Like he use to. I don’t have a problem but I can see how outsiders will consider him weird and us weird. It will hurt his channel and might even create problems in his actual life in the future. I mean... if a big youtuber like Pewds calls him a cult leader than that could have serious consequences for him. And he can do simple things to avoid that negative attention if he wants to.
