These are basically your options. Move away Confront them and stand up for yourself. Understand their ignorance.

"The book of secrets" by Osho. It contains 112 meditations in which you're supposed to try each and every one for about 3-5 days. You're bound to come by one that you feel works best. -
There's been a big discussion on animal cruelty and suffering in the society section lately. And so it's brought a lot of memories from having lived on a farm for a big part of my life. I've stood in pools of blood from animals which lives were taken because either they were sick or old. We had a horse that had gotten an infected foot about 2 years ago and it had to be put down. Of course, we do it in the most humane way possible, a pin-gun which is placed on the forehead and it shoots a knife into the skull so the animal drops dead instantly, then its throat is cut to ensure its completely gone and there's no way of it waking back up. This can be hard to witness if you're not used to the farm-life, liters of blood pouring out in an instant while watching the animal twitch due to the muscle contraction and nerves shutting down. This can often be taken the wrong way, as if the animal is suffering when in fact this is a completely normal part of death. My least favorite memory of all was when we had to put down 13 rams, due to old age and them not being of any use anymore (such is it on the farm). The absolute bloodbath that was, but we made sure to not let them know what was going on and so it was done one by one behind closed doors. Then we took them to what I can only describe as the absolute worst place I've ever been to. A big container filled with sheep from other farms that had collected about 100 dead sheep in the container, the smell was bad enough let alone the sight. A part of me wishes this didn't have to be this way, another part knows that animal eating will not be banned nor gotten under control on a global level for at least 200-400 years. And so this is how it will be. I'm leaning more towards not eating meat more and more, even though this is the game of god. Suffering must be included for the ultimate love and freedom that allows reality to flourish. But that doesn't mean I wish to support animal suffering. The animals on our farm have always been treated with the utmost respect. They are free to walk in and out a big part of the year and then set free into the mountains in summer. Yet their offspring are taken from them after 1-2 years (when they've grown apart) and sent to the slaughterhouse which is always a sad day. So I'm torn on this issue. I really love animals of all types so much, their innocence is unmatched so it doesn't feel quite right to take part in this collective suffering it brings. I see myself in their eyes. Peace ?

And he's from America which is the biggest limitation. And it doesn't help that he worked on Wall Street either.

Duck, uppercut... KO'd! -
We've been bombarded with snow here today and so I went out in my shorts and took a dive into it. I buried myself under for about 2 minutes then went in for a cold shower. It was the easiest cold shower I've ever taken, the snow was that cold. I'm going to make this a tradition, every time it snows as much as now, I'm taking a dive.

Nope, but whenever I take LSD or Mushrooms outside I usually get that body feel. especially in the lower-midrange doses. And please do post them. This particular sheep was so kind and calm, like an old dog so it wasn't hard at all.

Start doing intermittent fasting after it or even Omad. If you've never done Omad then I'd start with a 20/4 eating window. It's very hard to gain extra weight on these "diets" without your body burning up any excess calories during the fasting window. -
Sounds like you need to watch it again because Leo addressed everything you just posted. When conversations about such deep topics take place, it will end with one of them having a mental breakdown. You can't talk about god, it's utterly pointless. Leo's videos are in a certain sense already too much info for people, because they've yet to actually do the work. Your mind wants to ground itself in reality by talking about awakenings instead of actually experiencing them. And talking about water fasting is not the same as discussing god and reality.

13-hours The fast has begun I'm still torn on if I should allow myself tea or not. I'm pretty sure I'll allow it just to get the potassium and sodium from it.

I've decided to do a 7-day water fast because it's been a while since I did the 5-day one and I feel like it's time for a detox. I'll be starting tomorrow. This will also be a semi meditation retreat as well. I'm going to contemplate and meditate as much as I can tolerate. And continue Osho's book of secrets, it contains 112 meditation which I'd love to try some of them out while fasted. I just started no-caffeine and nofap as well and am currently on day 4 on those. I feel like quitting all these things I've been attached to at once will help a lot, as I've discovered works best for me. I won't be exercising and will be doing minimal activities other than maybe stretching.

Recognize that this is all part of the story which you dream up to ground your"self" in existence. Billion years have never passed and nothing will ever be discovered. But it is indeed a mystery. -

I'll chip in, but only if it's a Bentley. Can't be directly copying the grand wizard himself, and they're more fun to drive anyways. -
@flume I so get what you mean. Optimizing your health is very addictive, especially when you make it a challenge with a friend, or set goals. Sometimes I just want to climb mountains for 40 hours straight and feel into being a body in nature, getting high on oxygen. And my ultimate dream would of course be to climb a mountain with Matt Kahn.

So I just finished up stretching by following this video below. And what I've discovered is my biggest weakness is by far my hips. I could barely walk after this session it felt like so much tension was let out that I had no strength left. My hamstring progression has been great and all the rest as well. But I've also noticed that my calves are hindering some progress from how stiff they are. I'll be following this program 3 times a week if I can handle it, else 2 should do it. I really want to reach the full pancake split, probably more than the side split, but I set my goal for that at the beginning of the year and so I'll keep following it, even though it's almost the same stretch, so it doesn't really matter which one I focus on.

@Leo Gura Will you include some clips from your blog videos? There have been some real golden gems in those.

It's a messy process that takes years of trial and error. Trying to organize it is a waste of time in my opinion and only leads to you being fooled by your own mind. This is fluid work so just contemplate what you wish to know and do it totally intensely. No need to hang onto those sessions by charting them. Let go of all these concepts like from that video. You'll never get to those realizations by wanting the realization itself, you must be genuinely curious about truth and reality itself. I've found structuring my meditations and contemplations to be counterintuitive. I meditate when I really feel like I want to meditate or contemplate but you must find out what works best for you. -
@The0Self What's your obsession with deadlifts, squats, and bench press? I've felt better after I stopped doing them and just focused on calisthenics, one-legged leg exercises, and explosive movements. The trio is definitely good for performance but the normal everyday human doesn't need those loads and injury risk factors because you need to have 100% correct form for it to be worth it in the long run. I really like Aaron Alexanders' way of movement and Josh from strength side. The combination of flexibility, mobility, and relative strength for feeling optimally at your best mentally and physically. But I do train with dumbells as well because calisthenics can't hit every muscle as you said, and I find dumbells to be better in every aspect over the barbell personally.

@Leo Gura You're On-Point today ma man

I love discomfort and pain because I hate it. When I go through discomfort and let go, I become a little closer to god, since he lives through all experiences. Cold showers are a great teacher for letting go because you kill your ego slowly. The ego loves comfort and pleasure, so when you do something it doesn't like, I'm forced to either suffer or go to my higher self.
