You can start with just walking even. It depends on how bad it is. Maybe run until it starts to hurt, then walk for a while, then run again. My dad has had pretty bad shin splints, for him it worked to push through the pain, then it stopped, although that's not going to work for everyone. I can understand your disappointment, when I got my shoes first, I had this stabbing pain under my foot after every run, but after using them enough, it went away thankfully. If it doesn't work at all after some usage, look into getting custom insoles. https://www.reddit.com/r/running/comments/y7l3f/the_ultimate_guide_to_shin_splints/

Awesome! Make sure to break them in properly before making a judgment on how they feel. You'll probably feel mild pain when you're starting out, just make sure to start out slowly. If you have a wide forefoot, you can try and re-lace them. So you skip crossing the laces in the middle point of the shoe. I'm recently trying it out after my leg started to go numb on runs for some unknown reason.

So happy for you man! Life gets better, it always does.

Oh, I know this feeling all too well. There really is a fine line between caring about your customers and being a slave to them. I've often tried to do as much as I can for them and very politely, yet there are always those types of people that complain about everything and try and create problems out of thin air. I've found this to be most problematic in the US, Australia and UK seem to be more pleased with what they receive from what I've experienced. It's very important to not let these people bring you down, and meditation is perfect for that as you mentioned.

Are there any reasons why you wake up? Do you drink a lot of liquids before bed?

Seems like you found the answer to your question. Now it's just a matter of acting on fixing it. Also, how in the world does it take you one hour to make breakfast, this is actually unheard of where I'm from. That's about the time it takes to cook dinner for a whole family. Maybe learn to speed things up a little bit.

Reality is perfect as is. There's no room for manipulation when everything is exactly how it's supposed to be. -
It's good to be honest at least. A lot of people on this forum could use more of that.

What! Do you get your water from a well? lol

@Michael569 The power of letting go. Aurora pix will come when they dare to show up. The weather here has been so terrible lately and still is.

Just finished a great run with my friend. It's getting pretty cold out so I decided to wear minimum clothing to get used to the cold, so when the snow comes I'm ready for some t-shirt runs which I absolutely love. Took a freezing shower just now before writing this. My ability to let go and surrender to the cold has gotten much better. I stood under for probably 5 minutes now in the coldest setting; it stopped feeling cold after more than 2 minutes and just felt like water, even though it's freezing cold. It's always the first minute that's toughest, after that it feels great. There's this tightness that builds up after being under for more than 2 minutes that feels so good once you're out, It's my favorite part about cold showers, also how present and out of mind you become. I won't lie, It's not been great the past week or two. Silly of me to assume that starting would be the toughest part. It's actually sustaining this habit which is has been by far the most difficult obstacle. The weather has been utterly terrible this and last week, so every time I've woke up I've gone back to sleep. Really gonna tighten up with the 5 AM runs now. But I'll have to see about that, because after this run and yesterday's run I've gotten this weird thing where my right leg is going completely numb in mid run. Like a needle pain which starts at the foot then goes up the leg, then it ends up stiff as stone. It's likely a pinched nerve or from the jumping I've been doing with the flow workouts. So I won't push the runs if it doesn't feel right soon. I'll continue with the flow workouts as I've been doing. Barely missed a day of flow practice even though my runs may have suffered, so it's not the end of the world. But it's the 5 AM discipline that I don't want to lose.

It's from an Icelandic company, but you can probably find something similar. Main ingredients are: hyaluronic acid 20mg polysaccharides 3.2mg collagen 1.6mg chondroitin sulfphate 200mg Vitamin-C 60mg Omega-3 fatty acids 620mg The ones I got don't have any gel or foam, they use some sort of wave plate technology, like a spring. I've probably ran around 400 miles in them and they still feel like new. But I don't doubt if they were gel, they'd be at the end of their life. They're called Mizuno Wave Prophecy 5. They were made for really long-distance running and are super sturdy and well constructed. Yeah I go by that rule, but it has to be very accurately spot on, lol. If you have really bad shin splints, then I'd definitely advise going to a professional to get the right shoes and insoles. Right! Feels so great. Wim hof gang! I'm waiting for the snow here so I can go for my winter t-shirt runs. People look at you like you're insane, lol. @Akemrelax Yeah it's kind of important to do some sort of strength training alongside running, especially if you run much. After I started working on loosening my hip flexors, strengthening my glutes, hamstrings, and quads it all got a lot better and smoother. Also, foam rolling is awesome to get the muscles more loose and flexible.

Running in "real" running shoes made a massive impact. Bought 220$ dollar (don't have to be so expensive) shoes about 3 years ago and it feels like gliding on clouds. I always had knee problems and shin splints. It all got so much better after getting the proper footwear. And most importantly after I started taking a joint supplement, that was a massive game-changer for all the aches on my runs. I still get the shin splints if I tie the shoe too tightly still. I probably need to get custom soles made, but I'm managing Ok with my loose tied laces. Absolutely. Also important to not run too fast down hill, can increase the chances of runner's knee.

Right! Arguing about something as silly as this as if there's some absolute answer to the question. It's so relative it's not even funny. If you say friends are necessary now, you've yet to undergo the experience of someone who feels the opposite, and maybe you will in 40 years...and you'll feel like a fool.

I'd say getting many realizations in bite-sized information actually helps you integrate awakenings better. I know of many who've blasted into non-dual space but are at a very fragile place because they shot so far away from integrating important lessons. I actually prefer working with classical psychedelics, since they give you what you're ready for. And if you're ready for the 5 MeO nondual experience, an LSD trip can deliver you just that. So it's not so much the psychedelic rather than the mind undergoing the experience, as I'm sure you know already. -
I get them as well if I tie my shoes too tightly. There's almost a whole science on how I go about tying my shoes, lol. Love my Mizuno running shoes btw, highly recommend them.

+1 Cold showers are also a great teacher for surrender. -
Love Ed.

@intotheblack Simple creatine monohydrate powder (5g daily). You can mix it with any drink since it's unflavored. Just make sure to drink plenty of water each day, depends on your weight but around 2-3 liters.
-
Take creatine for muscle recovery and magnesium for mind recovery.

Absolutely loving my morning runs. And there are some pull up bars as well on my route, so I stop there and do a couple of pulls usually. There's something about breaking a sweat, it's like getting away from it all, It's a very meditative experience. Wish I had a forest to run in.

Glad it inspires you! I'll try and post more pics.

The mind does not like stillness, it's the mind's enemy. This mind likes stimulation, this mind likes avoidance, this mind thinks it knows when only the heart could ever know; know so much that you know nothing. Stillness has no beginning and no end, it's endless, boundless, infinite presence. This mind likes limitation, it fears unlimited love, it fears accepting reality as infinite perfection. This mind can be dissolved by gratefulness of existence, thank you for being you, thank you for the love you share so selflessly. Perfection beyond perfection, too good to be true, yet it's the ultimate truth and more good than good can ever get. Being spoken to by the absolute all the time, all around us, if we look carefully enough we just might find truth right in front of our eyes, ever-present, all-encompassed love. And if anyone reads this text, you wrote this to yourself, while creating it right now as you read it. Don't forget to feel. ?
