Maybe try OKCupid From what I've read online there's a lot of "alternative" dating happening there nowadays

@Sandy6 Well at some point your mind can only go in circles and you won't get anywhere. You need to actually do lots of Small Bets and then commit to something. If that something ain't it, no problem. Move in a different direction. Keep going.

Harris also didn't seem to understand Spira when he said "there was no discontinuity of consciousness" during his operation. Harris thought there must be such a thing because the surgeons were at work. He didn't grasp that from the POV of consciousness, there are no discontinuities, ever. -
What's the point of rising out of poverty if you're poor? The cards are stacked against you.

@BornToBoil Hey. Life is hard. It's true. No you won't go to hell if you commit suicide. I'm sorry if you feel pathetic right now. I hope you'll do better and find peace. There's so much more to life to experience, to love. There's plenty of reasons to stay alive. I hope you find those reasons.

Why didn't human beings start building houses before building huts? There is a process of causation there too, like Leo said, that bootstraps itself and is basically what evolution is. Human societies evolved. So did houses.

@Strangeloop It's no problem if you're gay (or bisexual or asexual). I understand it's probably difficult for you now because "being straight" has been part of your identity for so long. Try to explore your sexuality. What turns you on? What do you jerk off to? What people you see on the street turn you on? Any childhood memories that can give a hint? Either way there's no problem. Your job is to discover who you are. And then be you.

They still have time to grow. Most Zoomers are barely adults yet

Can I ask you a question? Did you read much as a child or barely at all? I barely read entire books as a child so I had a lot of problems with reading in my teenage years. Only thing that worked for me is to keep reading for years and it got a lot better in time. Oh and maybe reading more actively can help too. Try underlining passages that resonate with you or seem important. This helps.

Thank God you were

Oleg Byonic has great music for contemplation imo

I don't know very much about Teddy Roosevelt to place him anywhere on the Spiral. But I found this speech he supposedly gave quite inspiring. I wanna say this is healthy Orange. Or maybe it's healthy Blue. Either way there is little healthy Orange in this subforum here at all. So here's something.

Does he finally get it?

When reading his books I'm underlying a whole lot because he makes really great points. And then I read that Florida is way higher on the scale than California (he ranks it as the lowest state in terms of consciousness) He's definitely biased towards conservatism. But when it comes to epistemology and spirituality in general he's quite wise.

By the way Warnock will be the first black senator in the state and the first democratic senator in about 20 years

Yeah indeed, although it took my entire life to get to that point That's also why I say she's not completely Blue at this point. But I just found the conversation interesting because I realized there was nothing I could do to change her mind. So I shared this as a personal example for that reason. And I really see it more as healthy Blue because she's open to me finding my own way (which has gotten me to the freedom I have today) but yet she still cannot grasp that "seeking truth" is of higher value than being a good Christian.

Conversation I had with my mom Mom: I'm happy you're trying to find your own way, but I really wish you were a Christian. Me: Would you not much rather have me seek the truth? Mom: I should have read you from the Bible more when you were young. Me: So you would much rather have me become a Christian than seek the truth? Mom: Jesus Christ is the truth. What do you think it is? Me: I don't know. I'm seeking it. Mom: Okay. But I really wish you were a Chrisitian. She's actually more like Stage Orange with a tiny bit of Green. But religious conversations really show her blueness. I've actually had many conversations about religion with her over the years but I've learned that when people have had a certain worldview their entire lives it's nearly impossible for them to change it.
