@Mikael89 also if you look at games world, there is no problem with respawn (die and reborn) as long as there is no gain or loss attached to death of the character, if it is people can get crazy over that fiction self - the indentication can be so strong that it almost feel like you were dying, or you lost something ... the question will be can you gain or loss something in life? -

@Scholar you're totally unaware of plants' intelligence, their strugle for surivial and reasources just becasue their recation time are usually much slower than animals, and you can't see it straight away with your eye - it doesn't mean there is no life force there, or they are clueless what's going on and that life force is worst than that in animals -

@Serotoninluv what about empathy for plants? this again double standards and hypocrisy using the known perception of mammals, and ignoring the perception of a plant -

@Mikael89 that attachment to the form, and the truth of this universe is that everything changed forms constantly all the time, i don't know it's a property of a consciousness itself, but might be -

imagaine the level of our society, where the smarter man is a bouncer - lol -
damn, I am not sure what I've just read - however the text gaves impression of that guy being enlighthened some of the insights overlaping with what Leo says about the consciouness, nothingness, form, nofrom, emptyiness etc however the languange is difficult, and some words have different meaning now, when refers to the mind I guess he means conciousness, not the mind that we think of brain activity also a lot reffreing to the budhist traditions/rituals and believes that rather wester reader is not familiar with is it good source to study? , or it's better to move on to more understanable teachings - more convienient share your impression about the book, and what you've learned - realized from it

@Mikael89 that question doesn't make any sense because the primary function of brain is safety and survival the better question are you your brain or maybe something more? or if could for example put yourself into some exoskeleton but in that process you need to kill yourself - would you do it? @Finland3286 that's just your assumption, there is no proof for any of those claims @DrewNows there is more missconfusion about diet, than it's about spirituality - or at least same level from what i heard recently Keto diet is the future -

@VeganAwake I see your point, and i agree that conditions are far away from perfect - but that's a topic for a another discussion, and it's silly to assume that plants are made in natural way, they aren't, they are modfided as well, pesticides etc however that is not what I was pointing at here, I meant meat in general, might be even hunted -

@DrewNows nah man - fruits are mostly simple form of sugar steve jobs had pancreatic cancer from fruit diet only, from what I heard and that's reasonable, cuz you need to eat a lot of it to be satisfied and your insulin level skyrocket to the roof after those meals, and pancreatic is responsible for producing insulin that's my understanding, however i'm not dietician nor doctor -
I've been meditating for at least 3 years daily, the time duration mostly 20 minutes, rather doing nothing just be there and sees what's come up but im not satisfied with results, actually im not even sure its that actually harmful, I almost feel nothing (except really intenste situations) - like an apathy, I used to felt sad, anger frustation more often yes - but also when i felt something postive it was more VIVID, now everthings is more and more flat, maybe that's just agin??? i'm also now very inward oriented, almost like living in my "head" and a kind of withdrawal with external world, even people ask me why I am so "calm" - i am not sure, does it boder them or supprise anyway I've noticed recently that i have no idea where should I put my attention during the meditation, however when I do it, it's punctual - kind of like focused laser, i've tried for exmaple some part of my brain, the heart, the sensation in my body - but since i don't feel anything(except ocasionally itching) that is super boring and I can't mantained it, if I let my mind just be loose it will come up with some thoughts and I'll get lose in thinking instead of meditating so the main question is about where the focus should go during the meditation?

@Nahm "a deeper myocascial level of letting go. " - i don't know what do you mean by that, anyways i'm not perticulully attach to any thought - I'm able to cut them off or just letting go, obviously the emotionally charged might take a longer time, but I don't think I'm stuck on some particual one althought I enjoy thinking (not during the meditation), I read a lot do you ask am I happy and do I have what I want? im not super happy, nor i am depressed, and definitely do not meet what i wanted in life -

@IndigoGeminiWolf no, i don't feel any energy @Truth Addict that's like saying to a shy virgin just BE yourself, man - women like it, which give him 0 results, and mean nothing @Nahm kind of yes, cuz it's nothing going there actually in the body - sometimes i "observe" my heartbeat @astrokeen i see 500 pages on mediations wow, I hope it's note overtalked - it should be simple - shouldn't ? maybe it's not that simple as I thougt @Jordan94 thank you -

see kids? ..., that's why you don't mess up with drugs -
does the being need a "witness" to exist? or the fact of exist includes a "witness" by itself? does it even make sense or wrong rail (just a construct of my mind) ?
-
OmniYoga replied to OmniYoga's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
yeah I'm afraid i can identify my self or understand consciousness as a witness, but that doesn't make a witness even slightly more real -

nope, but this question stroke me today, wtf is this??? what is reality, why people don't ask for it, just taking for granted, seemed super weird, that we do actually know nothing about such a basic and fundamental stuff not in the meaning of how it "works", but what is actually is? not sure if that makes sense for you I guess it's about time to watch it -
I am wondering how this book/theory looks like from the non-dualistic perspective, there are many paradigms described in it, some of them seem to be higher than the current society level of consciousness, on the other hand some of them seem to be childish naive for those who are not familiar with it, in short: -infinity of variations, which means all that you want is already out there, but everything that you don't want is also out there. by our {conciousness/unconciousness, stream of thoughts, attention, focus, energy} we're "chosing" or morelikely we're drift to one way or anothere in that infinity this way the indiviudals creats their own reality and trunsurfuing is a set of "technics" that allows us to move toward more favorable direction of reality basic assumptions: reality is like a mirror your inner world reflects your outer reality distinction between mind and "soul" one should be yourself and follow his own path in order to receive give first visualisation as a key factor to attain goals pendulums - that are trying to control and take energy from indiviudals - kind of like matrix ( I really liked that methaphore, pretty accurate shows how groupthink, idologies, cults, systems posses individuals, for their own agenda) polarity - whenever there is swing into one direction, there would be opposite forces going to equilibrium, because of harmony nature despite the great effort of the author, I'm really concern about that this is another attempt of the ego trying to control the whole or infinity i'm curious about your opinions on it, especially if you're familiar with it. share your experience and thoughts

@MAYA EL so are you saying he is alive? -
so I made 2 weekend yesterday, I planned to go for 40 minutes , but I hold about 30 minutes. 1st weekedn I made 20 minutes. I felt like my tendons tighten up, (not sure is that actually tendons, but seems like it) especially in palms, a little bit in legs and around belly, so I freaked out a little bit. therefore: should I bulit up gradully or push my limits ? breathing should be very deep, just deep or normal? the pace: slow, normal or as fast as possible? btw is this technic somehow connect to Wilhelm Reich and Alexander Lowen or not?

sounds good added to my list
