  1. The book is based on common sense. It's mainly useful for teenagers and young adults to know more about human nature before stepping into the workforce. Most of the teachings are basic common sense (Be rational yet be balance in your approach, you can't get rid of the emotional aspects completely, see through people's masks, be empathetic, beware of your compulsions...yada yada) And the author repeats himself over and over again to appear more persuasive but ultimately there is not much retention value. You probably cannot even recite seven favourite phrases or ideas from the book 3 years after reading it.
  2. Haha it's a bit hard to decide but I studied more of Napoleon Hill's books and even knew he was born in 1883 and died in 1970 aged 87. I will give my vote to Think and Grow rich. N. Hill is legendary.
  3. There are 2 different version for think and grow rich. The one that's adapted for 21st century think and grow rich has more practical applications inside and 20% more stuff added. 7 habits is very well written and you can easily absorbed and used most of the points in the book as compared to other self help books. And for that, 7 habits rank above most self help books.
  4. Eben pagan has many courses on his websites. One of them is for life coaches. You can also read Steve Chandler's book for life coaches.
  5. Feeling your negative thoughts is trauma work. It is helpful to help you resolve or reduce extremely negative thoughts so you move towards positivity. Unlike thoughts (positive and negative) do not attract in most law of attraction books. (Different from magnets) You need to be positive and open, then you will be able to receive more positivity.
  6. It's obvious, isn't it? Most of us are trapped by some form of identities and structure we have built? For example, you have a home, a house, a career, limiting beliefs and some form of bodily illness. You cannot really just leave everything behind and create a new one although for some of you, you can. And I can too. One of the solutions is do not overthink. Some people think their way to a suicide. I have never seen a person with a blank state think their way to that. Another sol is to take responsibility for your life.
  7. If you fuLfill your goals to some degree, then you may still feel worth it. Next is to cultivate gratefulness.
  8. Haha to overcome laziness, you need willpower and take more action. Another thing is to break free of old identities. For example, if you think of yourself as being bad at running, then you won't run well. Similarly, if you think of yourself as someone who doesn't like travelling, guess what? You won't travel. Haha.
  9. If you set certain goals, indeed you won't be that happy when you achieved them. Men are always hungry unless they are sick (and for that they want health). Men wants more. They want love, sex, family. If they have one child, they want two without the financial baggage. They want more money. If they have 1 mil, they want 2 mil.
  10. I guess it's a feeling of guilt. When you have sex, you are supposed to offer something in return like providing for her or giving protection/security to her and if you don't give these, you are just a taker.
  11. You think you are very good just because you have read some self help stuff. But truth is you can't even pass a job interview or have friends who will help you willingly. You are probably nearer to stage beige, surviving on scraps. Read 'Ego is the enemy' to have a check on your ego.
  12. Yes your LP can evolve or change over time. Don't get trapped by your past beliefs.
  13. I sleepwalked before. It happened when I didn't sleep enough for a long time. Like I slept only 2 hours each for 3 days in a row. I first noticed it when my sister got home without keys. I asked her how did she get home without keys? She said I pass her the keys when I only remembered I was sleeping. The most serious case was when I was crossing the road sleepwalking while outside camping. And realise how did I get here without knowing. I also sleepwalk to get a glass of water as long as the flask and cup is there on the table. If not, I may wake up standing. But for me, as long as I sleep more than 5 hours each day, sleepwalk won't happen to me.
  14. Haha what about Joe Dispenza's works? He has books on becoming supernatural and becoming a new person.
  15. All relationships require management. Even if you want free sex, free $, free house, you still have to ask for them. And yes bad things will still happen. Either they or you die first. Choose one.
  16. Possible. I mean considering that America is the country that produces the giant big tech like Google, Amazon, Facebook, Apple, Mircosoft etc. There are many more big companies if you consider the banks, the oil companies and the online companies. If they are not producing rich people, then where will the rich people be? Ah...the land of the rich.
  17. Well I put the word that they don't get entangled 'so easily' if they are wealthy. But anyway millionaires entangle themselves by adding in more stuff to stuff their mind. They bought in more companies, more cars, yachts, bitcoins and property and maybe get in more conflict and legal battles.
  18. You don't get entangled so easily if you are wealthy. Say you have millions of dollars in your bank and you have an ongoing deal going on worth 10k, whether or not the buyer eventually buy doesn't affect you as much because you are already rich. But ultimately what you need is health. If you are tired and sick, then you can't travel/move out/have more fun.
  19. Yes the forum seems very buggy. Like it doesn't refresh to the latest page unlike you use Google Chrome. Not sure why. Someone can shed some light?
  20. The title is a clickbait. The lady in the second video was earn 6k a month. Why would she die in poverty?
  21. There is no need to defeat the mind. It is under your control.
  22. Haha yes being awakened don't mean much if you don't have health and wealth in this physical life at least. The foundation anyone needs is to first have good physical health, then mental and material wealth. Follow the Maslow's hierarchy of needs. It is not a must to follow but it is the ideal way to go about life in general.
  23. Just use Cetaphil gentle cleanser for everything: Face and body
  24. @Javfly33 I have seen your posts and you are definitely someone who can write well. Furthermore, you also have written good stuff on mindset and consciousness. Not sure why you suddenly start this thread? Maybe you are feeling vulnerable (who won't be one fine day?) or you are seeking even greater knowledge. A tip or two I can share is to read ego is the enemy.
