What's the point of learning stuff when you are going to 1) Forget them 2) or you cannot recall them on time. Plus, you can only think one thought at a time...Let's say you are thinking of a black cat, you cannot really think of Bill Gates at the same time as the amount of thoughts going through you at a certain time is finite. Furthermore, let's say you study Chemistry and then you study Physics. And then, you study Biology. When you return back to your Chemistry, you realise you have forgotten so many stuff and if you would just concentrate on one subject, you will learn deeply. So why learn so much?

Fear actually protects you from danger or from embarrassing yourself.

I watched them few years back but they repeat the same stuff over and over. Guess they can only keep talking about Charisma.

If you ask this question (in thread title), then you are not ready yet. Because age has little or no bearing on how fast your consciousness can grow.

Why not chat on this thread too?

Thanks @Leo Gura for your insights.

I am not too concerned with memory. I am more concerned with recall of info. If you recall 'info A', then it may hinder your ability to recall 'info B' at the same time. How do we think faster in real life?

It's all up to you. You read them slowly because you chose to ponder and think over the words mentioned. If you choose to read faster instead of pondering, you will read faster.

Thanks for all the replies. It's good to learn new stuff here. @BjarkeT @ajasatya @Michael569 I guess I need to learn more on how to learn better.

It is probably just the armodafilnil that give you the headache. One of its side effect is headache. Anyway, don't smoke. It's addictive eventually. It's more addictive than being addicted to a game.

Read interesting books like The Song of Ice and Fire.

Self help books always tell you to relax while the authors earn all the money selling books or asking you to attend their seminars.

Your logic is only based on your intellectual knowledge at this point and your logic may be wrong. For example, you see a brown bear in the woods and your logic tells you that brown bear is cute and friendly so you go out there to play with it. Little did you know that the brown bear also can attack you with sharp claws and that's it for you.

You don't have to love yourself FULLY. How do you measure fully anyway? Being slightly unsatisfied with yourself is okay as it pushes you to become a better person.

No such thing as an ego since there's no such thing as gravity. Your ego is just a word which is used to describe your opinion of something. Your ego tells you not to speak to that badass guy to protect you. Your ego tells you to learn billiards to blend in with your friends. Your mind is the overall you. Sometimes the current you take control, sometimes you let the previous you ( your opinions) take control.

Every sentence usually has a subject and a verb or an idea. So you just read the subject and idea and move on. You cannot remember every single word in the book so why bothered with them so much? Just make sure you know the main gist of the sentence and move on. That's how you speedread. Usually you just need to read the first, middle and last word in every sentence.

You save energy by sleeping and resting.

Don't like his writing style. Too much narrative. The 10 Challenges in the book also don't look like real challenges at all.

Acceptance of what? Accept that you can never make it big?

Success is not possible for everyone. Everyone defines 'success' differently and if the person did not attain what he wants, then he may think he is not successful even tho others may think he is. Also, there are too many aspects of life to be successful - Family, love, money, friends, business, travelling, spiritual, life goals,

The Song of Ice and Fire book series is the top fantasy book to read right now!

There's always pros and cons when doing anything even sleeping. In chess, there's the advantage of training of your patience and cognitive thinking, strategising and so on. And the con is of course you may have to spend a lot of time playing and your mind is only focused on chess and not other things which might be more important. I once beat a high sch chess champion 3 times out of 3. No idea how I won. I just flow and beat him. Instantly, I feel amazing and I challenged my cousin to chess next week and I lost. I have come to terms that I am not very interested in chess to pursue it. I prefer to do other things in life.

You have to ask yourself. Are you afraid to take up the new job? Are you competent enough? Is the new job convenient for you? Did you reject the job because the Starbucks job is easier? Are you lazy?

The Bible because God is the only one you can speak to.

You should read books instead of articles because the knowledge gained will be more in depth.
