  1. They are all similar practices but it's harder to go deep on shadow work or letting go and may even produce undesirable results. There are some things that are not really possible to let go. For example, you may have a disease in your body (say hepatitis) or you have a severe back pain or something. You try to let it go? Does it disappear? Probably you can let go of some emotions but not the pain. Your thoughts might even be reinforced if you keep thinking about the diseases and pain. You probably should practice some forms of accepting (which is also like letting go).
  2. Why so many bad advices? Doing health isn't better than having health. If you have Aids and cancer and varieties of other diseases, doing health isn't going to help much. In essence, you should be healthy first. Not trying to do health only when you are sick. Health for well being > health for health's sake. Imagine if your body craves for something but you ignore it. For health's sake, you decide to go vegan. You ended up cooking over fried veg with unknown sauces and preservatives added to them. How healthy can you be? Of course, another would be following societal norms like drinking 8 glasses of water daily. That's for health sake but maybe your body needs less water. You should listen to the body.
  3. Not sure why. I keep having a nagging feeling that I won't live till 80. So how long do you feel that you can live to?
  4. Buy Microsoft 365. You get free Microsoft office usage online, free space on email and onedrive. Not free though. 🤣
  5. Most human success is self perceived success. Like for example, you become a manager and now you worked longer hours before that and you faced great stress and now you have to face even longer hours and stress. You may have become more wealthy and now drive a car. You may think you become successful but look at how much damage you have already done to your body?
  6. Haha 7 habits is long winded and most of the advices are common knowledge these days. Like who doesn't know you need to set goals and sharpen yourself? But I do agree S.Covey write very well. Since you already read Cal Newport, you know finding your passion is terrible advice, then work on something else. One part of life is to earn lots of money so that you feel financially secured or better.
  7. Both are excellent books! But the advices may be a bit cliched or outdated. For example, in the book, he will tell you to model other successful people or to walk powerfully. These advices may sound like common sense now but 30 years back not everyone knows about them. He also wrote and talk in a convincing way which is good for changing your mindset.
  8. Go read awaken the giant within. Not the fake 1.5 hour audiobook you found on YouTube.
  9. Tony's content is more than just NLP. He taught NLP around 20 to 30 years ago. Back then, internet was not so easily accessible and teaching that is an efficient way of getting someone out of the rut. Go read his full book. Not the abridged audiobook found on YouTube.
  10. There are also many ways to increase your chances of winning in a power slap. There's huge science involved. First, you don't have to actually slap the person. They won't notice anyway without proper video scrutiny. When you slap, you don't slap with the whole palm. You actually reduce the area as much as possible and hit with the heel bone of the palm. There's technique for swinging and stuff. There's technique of where you hit the person on the face. There are some weak spots on the face which boxers always hit.
  11. Napoleon has the book "Keys to success". It contains 17 essential principles for success!
  12. There is no point to life. Your life is based on the conclusions and beliefs that you have drawn up. If you believe that you are the only important person here, then you want attention and want people to look up to you. You become a narcissist. That becomes the point of your life unless you can break out of it. On a broader sense, you can say that the point of life is to grow consciously.
  13. Hold a concert. Just imagine if everyone pays $200 and you have 500 people in the audience. That's $100k! Thank me for the tip! How about a tip to add on to this?
  14. You create your own power and money sources. In almost any jobs, you have to be aware of what positions you are in and work yourself up the hierarchy. Of course, some jobs come with stress so you have to decide whether you want it or you would rather stay quiet and earn a normal income.
  15. How to talk your way to success: The theory of everything way.
  16. Look at Leo and Sadhguru. They are materially wealthy and spiritually rich as well. It's definitely possible to be both or at the least, you can make yourself reasonably rich enough (few millions or 200-900k) to not worry much about your financial situation ever again.
  17. Hassan's win in the marathon was quite predictable if you actually watch the race. She was hiding behind the leaders all the way, benefiting from drafting (less air resistances). Hassan also has an incredible kick in her and can run really fast if she needs towards the end. Assefa should have just run all out with 2km to go if she wants to win.

  19. No one really cares what's your political views are. Neither should you. If you are in politics for selfish reasons (and not for the people), your aim should just be focused on getting to the top. You talk and work your way up.
  20. Obviously most middle easterns go back to their roots which is Islam. Westerners mostly are associated with Christianity so obviously they go back to Christ. Asking people to let go of their roots is almost as hard as letting go of their ego.
  21. Many people identified with the west turn Christian just before they die. That's how powerful Christianity is.
  22. It's a decent book especially when you consider that the book was written more than 30 years ago. It's general self help stuff in general mixed with some good techniques esp on attaining mastery. But I don't remember much of the book. Guess the book needs re-reading!
  23. But there are things that Sadhguru said which are wrong: 1. He said more than a million people die everyday. That's not true. Even during pandemic 'highest peak' period, fewer than 200k people die daily on average. 2. He said it in jest: 70% of the people are taking western medicine, the other 30% got their drugs from the back alley. Not true. Obviously not when you count it as 70% + 30% = 100% whole population is on drugs.
