  1. The HCL version (the salt) is soluble in warm water whereas the freebase is not.
  2. You infer much from a simple question. Are your own troubles excluded from what you have been directly conscious of? Devilry, God- mere distinctions!!
  3. And how are your own health issues currently?
  4. Bold assertions stated absolutely. But on the basis of what evidence? The studies on MDMA use in PTSD, according to the researchers who have an active interest in the process, suggest that the state induced by MDMA ( exaggerated serotonin-release along with diminished uptake) allows one to approach the traumatic memory imprints without amygdala-activation which would normally evoke a fear response. It has little to do with Truth and Love. It induces a functional state which makes the stories surrounding the traumatic events more readily accepted, allowing increased functionality.
  5. The question posed to Peter Ralston lumped "psychedelics" all together as a monolithic entity; 5 MeO DMT exceeds the others by some margin (except perhaps vaporised DMT whilst fully MAO-A inhibited) and the 1960s did not have this as an accessible option. I agree with Ralston that the psychedelics he used cannot do the job; we live in a different time where 5 MeO is being used as a specific tool to achieve an outcome and as this is uncharted territory, conclusions will only be reached after more observational evidence is gathered, especially regarding the persistence of any realizations it affords.
  6. Have you tried smoking your material? 5mg of >98% pure freebase 5 MeO DMT will, when smoked, let you assess how good it is. Requiring unusually large doses, assuming fair technique, usually means impure stuff rather than innate tolerance and should be considered as the explanation especially when innate tolerance to quality 5 MeO DMT is not at all common.
  7. William Blake said "As a man is, So he sees". The "is" refers to belief structures which are imparted by ones culture/society, and ones perceptions and hence "reality" is simply proof-positive of ones ideas. LSD expands what the possibilities around the "is" are.
  8. Without knowing how the extraction was done I cannot say if you have a salt or freebase; the most commonly used extractions do result in freebase though. Assuming you do have freebase harmala alkaloids (AND note the assumption), 10mg of this and 25mg freebase DMT in one inhalation via the GVG will impress you. It adds a note to the taste which is distinct but pleasant.
  9. With a GVG and spot-on method, you can vape harmala freebase alkaloids with freebase DMT. Aesthetically like changa but a smaller volume of vapor inhaled compared to blitzing leaf material.
  10. If 40mg smoked 5 MeO DMT is not traumatising you significantly, and bad trips can be readily dismissed with an "Oh well" then surely one has to question if ones material is legit, a salt, and the adequacy of the smoking set-up. Really, these possibilities should be given some consideration.
  11. If you have freebase, and the desire to not put your head in a psychedelic blender via vaporization, do try snorting it. The burn is not excessive and 15mg will give a robust 40-45 minute experience. If the rectal route isn't happening for you then this route is a reasonable approximation in terms of tempo/duration.
  12. The OP smoked bufo- the advice here, which is cretinous in its stupidity, is to plug it. 15mg of bufo, assuming the tackle is very potent means a 5mg dose of 5 MeO DMT maximum. Its well known that the lower doses produce much more troubling anxiety than dose which are closer to the release dose. Some of the advice/input on psychedelics at actualized.org is questionable.
  13. This is where subconscious pre-conceived notions muddy the waters of direct experience. You do not feel the brain during a headache because the brain lacks pain receptors. This is a histological fact. Pain in headaches arises from bone, teeth, blood vessels or the lining of the brain and sinuses. I do agree though that the discomfort is experienced in consciousness. The things we tell ourselves...
  14. The weather today was glorious and seemed apt for a venture with 5 MeO DMT. The setting was in a large garden, lying upon a blanket on the lawn, surrounded by tall mature trees, the rustling of their leaves providing a soothing yet stimulating backdrop for the journey. The mindset was settled with the expected pre-flight jitters but with no other obstacles of substance evident. I was alone, and opted to snort 15mg of freebase 5 MeO DMT. The nasal burn was acceptable, and the insufflation was made with a gentle inhalation in order to avoid risking post-nasal drip. I lay down with arms spread at about 60 degrees from the trunk and had Hallucinogen in Dub by OTT playing gently in the background. The onset was felt at about 3 minutes with the familiar increase in heart rate and progressively increasing agitation of the red mist behind closed eyelids. The egoic chatter increased for several minutes before becoming translucent and merged into the mist, leaving non-discursive understandings to unfold as the remnants of mind were like eddies in the flow of the torrential seething swaying force that had become solely present. By virtue of this movement within the movement, the eddy was permitted a perspective upon the rest of the boundless force and it was intuited that this is what affords the perceptive apparatus (which were now utterly subsumed by the force) to construct a working reality out of the chaotic torrents. The mind is a gift which loves to perform its function and is eager to serve, and any desire or notion of hampering or changing it utterly misses how it is essential as it is, despite its penchant for being what it construes as helpful by exceeding its remit and projecting itself and acting in what it deems past and future, underpinning the notion of a self as a noun when all that is, is simply a process, or a verb. It requires understanding, not amendment ; gratitude and appreciation in place of dissatisfaction with its performance. But this is only understood when the boundless chaotic energy it addresses in order to provide the experience of the world is understood as the substrate for the world as we know it. Without mind there would be no experience. One needs to experience the anarchic nature with this understanding of minds function to be appreciative of its freely-given service, with a recognition that the mind to is not apart from the chaos in any way. This chaos is now and suffuses the order of the world yet remains hidden from view but makes the illusory aspect of the world readily appreciated. The trip last 40 minutes and was psychically refreshing. It was enough for some useful work and not whiteout territory. It felt really good to work with 5 MeO DMT again, and the nasal route by offering a less jarring transfer gives space to work rather than seeking the zone just prior to the whiteout.
  15. I don't find it to be too bad at all. YMMV. You are too kind; I'm glad you enjoyed it.
  16. Taking a dump before the days of porcelain bowls was the epitome of non-duality. You, your turd, the bacteria it contained, the seeds within from the food you ate, all being returned to the earth where lifes' next circuit/revolution commences.
  17. There is an unfolding process which we call "life" and we have the delusion we are "living" it; you are not "doing life"- "it" is "doing you". Sexual preferences are ultimately the urge to persist as/of the unfolding with the interpolation of sexual preferences as an individual choice superimposed. These are largely conceptual and consequent upon perceptions which are always indirect.
  18. Threads like this are amusing as that which is unable to be communicated does not stop the attempt being made, by "those" who "know" that whatever is put forth as an explanation is a not going to clarify the issue. This is an ever present limitation of the forum. To the OP- you are not just your brain, but your brain can provide a means to getting towards a position of directly experiencing how "it is", and really is all that you have to work with currently.. Pondering too much what is written here will not aid you. Investigate without pre-conceived notions and see what is revealed. "Brains do not exist", "brains are imaginary" and other such pronouncements- how far you are along the "path" will determine if they speak sense or just bullshit to you.
  19. I think Book of Not Knowing is remarkable, and Genius of Being (the last in the trilogy) is no less of an achievement. However, to get the best out of it, BONK must be read first (and several times over).
  20. Have you not heard of electro-convulsive therapy (ECT)?
  21. A memory is conceptual in all ways- it requires the concept of time to exist, and provides an inaccurate, biased and partial representation which reifies the concept of time in a strange-loop fashion.
  22. I think psychedelics exponentially speed up the possible rate of deconstructing the neural circuitry which underpins ones "self-structure" temporarily, allowing a glimpse of the required direction of travel, which is actually no direction at all. To establish this unravelling requires adjunct practises which embed the work.
  23. I think the term "soul" is a little like the term "mind"- a distinction made which lacks intrinsic substance but which can be conceptually utilised to produce further distinctions.
  24. Liquid pad is one embellishment; another which works as well is to fashion a similar disc out of copper Choreboy scrubber. When the ceramic diffuser in the GVG glows red the hot air is drawn through to the disc on inhalation and as it passes the copper it too gets heated (but not glowing-hot), and facilitates the vaporization from "below" as it were. 40+mg can be vaped in one inhalation using this set-up, but 25-30g is a consistent full-on breakthrough. The GVG truly is the last word on DMT vaporization. Trust me on this. You must use a quality torch lighter with an angled flame for the real magic.
