Doctors invariably do make mistakes, and the pressures of time requiring "quickly finding" symptoms and signs exacerbates this and yet the doctor carries the can including loss of livelihood on occasion. We realise perfection does not exist in this game and you improve the odds of a good outcome by a considered approach which takes time. And yet patients will suffer and sadly your average member of the public is not ready to accept that the loss/crippling of their loved one is imaginary. It is also unethical and effectively forbidden for a surgeon to operate on his own son because of the "un-enlightened concept" of emotional involvement. -

And a little later, the patient is admitted because in the doctors haste to "quickly find" symptoms, signs and give treatment he has missed vital info leading to an error. But, coz he is enlightened, he realises the patients suffering is imaginary, as is the letter from the regulators telling him his licence is gone. This tests his level of enlightenment and he is found wanting because his children starving is really The Brutal Side of Radical Love. Sincerely, you have no clue what the realities of being a doctor are. -

Re-read the question to which you proffered this gem. Don't worry about the whole question; just read up to the word AND, and reflect. (Clue-its fucking hard to be a good doctor). -

OPs words. So-is spirituality a 24 H job or not? Is not the work of the professionals listed in the realm of the dual, or not? Is it really easy to do these jobs well, and find 10000 hours to achieve "enlightenment" at the end of your life? How many doctors, columnists, grandmasters and politicians do you socialize with (ie when not being enlightened at work, for as you claim work/being spiritual are not convergent, or necessary) to claim they are not plentiful? -

I work in the field of Medicine and have had many awakening experiences and although I wouldn't presume to call myself enlightened, the experiences have brought me to a place of radical self-honesty via which I have concluded that perfect presence and non-dual existence will be of little abiding benefit when one works in a health system that is crumbling, where doctors do a half-assed job because the concept of time applies and the practical capacity to listen to a patient, stare into the distance for 30 seconds before offering a clinical insight (as the guru might do whilst earning his living) is not viable. -

I really enjoyed this vid of Leos, but it illustrates a need for a trans-rational stance to appreciate the gems and also the inadequacy of language which creates unreconcilable blocks. One thing about the non-dual stance (which is in effect "the aspiration" for many members here) is that it is inevitably replete with egoic constructs which are oh so subtle but in defiance of the stated aspiration and I suspect are for many intellectually imagined as the numb Zen-like state which Leo describes right at the end of the vid. In many ways Leo could have largely changed the word Love to Truth without adding to or losing any of the vids essence. The non-dual position hems itself in by not appreciating that reality can be realized in ways which broaden the experience of Reality by recognising the import of the individual position because of the need for Consciousness itself to be in some ways bound to the individual position to realize itself in an evolving way without an end-point. The thinking of AH Almaas covers this much better than I ever could and such a position allows one to "discern" the wheat from the chaff in the vid. The spiritual path is hard, in direct opposition to what Society accepts, and requires fearlessness and can cross a line where mental illness will be ascribed to the pursuer. For example it would utterly reasonable to assume on the basis of this vid that in order to develop an unconditional love for Love, beyond considering the items on Leos vid sheet, one could be fully justified to use the technology of gore videos to ponder on things which happen but don't typically reach ones consciousness. Society might call one mad and accuse (and prosecute) the viewer of working on desensitizing oneself , which makes them dangerous,.....ergo more likely to commit actions (or be accepting) of the seamier side of human activity. But on the face of it, from the perspective of a radical teacher, ISIS beheading vids are like a training tool (like 5 Meo!) to raise ones consciousness. See the problem? -

These words taken in isolation and at "face value" would have most people thinking "Lay off the 5 MeO, Leo!". The gold within Leos post is the 3rd sentence. If we take that as the sole arbiter of how we proceed to get to sentences 5 and 6, then despite the difficulties of our minds to wrap around what is being claimed, self-enquiry can allow us to grok the sentiment. The OP mentions equating "Being" with pure awareness (or as Leo says, consciousness) which is fair, but the next step is to establish for oneself that this pure awareness is inherently aware of itself. How? If the OP asked themselves " Am "I"(aka Being )present?" his/her own direct experience will conclude "Yes, "I" am present" . If they went on to ask "How do "I" know "I" am present?", the only accurate answer will be "Because "I" am aware "I" am present". Taking it further the next question to clarify is "How do "I" know "I" am aware?" There are no means by which one can provide an acceptable answer to this which refers to anything external to this presence/awareness/Being and the only answer (which will bend the materialists mind) is along the lines of " This awareness/Being/presence is simply aware of itself as an inherent feature". This is the "Is-ness" aspect of the whole business. It "just is". So, we have hopefully reached the point where it has been established that Being/pure awareness/presence is, and is self-aware. Now, this Being/pure awareness can for our current purposes be regarded as a faculty which is possessed which "knows/experiences" the world through our perceptions (eg seeing, hearing, touching, tasting and smelling), our minds through our thoughts and emotions, and our bodies through our sensing. We could pragmatically describe all of these "interactions" as "experiencing". Taking the example of the hand as per Leos post, looking at it informs Being through the perception of vision- and that is as much as we can say if direct experience alone guides us. We are not truly seeing our hand- we are simply experiencing the viewing of our hand. Focussing on how our hand feels, we are likewise experiencing the sensations the hand gives rather than feeling the hand. This is key- we establish ourselves as pure awareness hence the subtle dissociation between the sensation as is conventionally accepted and the more accurate (but wacky notion) that we are rather having the experience of the sensation without adding concepts which are not in our direct experience. As we place our hand in front of our face, at what would be conventionally regarded to be at a distance of say 2 feet , we should enquire "As the experiencing of the hand is all that is truly known, how far is this hand from this experiencing?". Pondering this one will conclude "No distance as it is "happening" within experiencing". If we next ask "How far is this experiencing from "I", the pure awareness/Being?" After a little consideration one will conclude "There can be no distance between these". Therefore the hand is no distance from experiencing, and experiencing is no distance from pure awareness/Being hence in the direct experience, the hand and the self (pure awareness/Being) are not separated. To take matters further, we can ask "What is the substance of this hand, other than experiencing?" In our direct experience all we know of this hand is the experiencing so we may conclude that no other "substance" is present in the hand. Let us proceed to ask "What is the substance that experiencing is made of, other than pure awareness/Being?" In our direct experience, experiencing is not composed of any "substance" other than pure awareness/Being. Hence we have come full circle, and logically (!!) confirmed that IN OUR DIRECT EXPERIENCE that the hand takes place in and is made out of our self, the I, pure awareness/Being. Thanks are due to Mr Spira for this self-enquiry protocol! -

Putting the product on ash then hitting it with a lighters' flame will burn the product and give no effect. Certainly with NN DMT, the effect of sustained SSRI use will cause a much diminished effect and it is probable that the same will occur with 5 Meo. I also disagree with Leo that 5mg will result in feeling nothing (I refer to non-users of SSRIs); 5mg vaporized properly (freebase- easily done on foil) I guarantee will be an ego-wrestling experience if the product isn't bunk. Some of the dosing advice here on actualized.org is really questionable; those few users who really are adept with 5 Meo advise elevating the dosage by 0.5-1mg when trying to find ones sweetspot when vaporizing. Bear in mind that 5 Meo is 5-6 times more potent than NN DMT and only a fool would advise upping the dose of DMT by 30mg (which is akin to advising "add 5mgs 5 Meo, maan') if the user didn't feel satisfied with the hit they had. This stuff is viciously potent, needs immense respect and horror stories do abound of users experiences who have not had such an approach. One should first work on perfecting ones vaping technique before escalating the dosage, so you have your own gold-standard to gauge your dosing by. -
San Pedro and peyote, whilst both mescaline-bearing species, have some clear differences with peyote buttons causing more body-load and nausea than SP. The duration of either of these is much longer and slower to peak than aya (4+ hours, dose-dependant) and can leave you unable to sleep for 14+ hours; the mescaline character is also kind of more supportive than that of ayahuasca. Both have their place but a mescaline mission needs careful planning because of the long-haul nature of the trip. A heavy dose is a daunting prospect IME, and the gentleness of its character can abruptly become obscured.

Can you explain why you think Prozac is a fair choice? (Answer- it is not.). OP- have a look at this: https://theconclave.info/ What you describe is well-recognised; these reactivations usually subside with time, understanding and recognition of the phenomenon. I also think the moderators here and Leo need to be vigilant about inappropriate advice/suggestions being made, particularly pertaining to healthcare by those not qualified to make such pronouncements; reliable information is what is needed or in its absence, silence. -

IME, toad venom visuals just seem to "shimmer" a little more than 5 Meo DMT alone- its hard to describe. I think this is probably due to the presence of other tryptamines being present, and a probable synergistic/ "entourage" effect; here is a brief article on the possible explanation in a little more detail: https://psychedelicreview.com/5-meo-dmt-toad-venom-and-the-entourage-effect/ -
Corpus replied to Omar1219's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I have used both Bufo Alvarius venom and freebase 5 MeO DMT; the former is considered to be 10-15% 5 Meo DMT by weight. When it comes to vaporizing I prefer freebase 5 MeO DMT because it causes no distress to any amphibian, the volume of vapor generated/consumed to get the sought-after effects is much less, plus one has the option of making a salted prep which allows access to the other routes of administration. Experientially, apart from a very subtly different aesthetic to the visual component the effects are for all intents and purposes the same. I would recommend freebase 5 MeO over Bufo venom without hesitation. If the purity is high enough (>98%), you would be surprised how effective it is when vaporized on foil- a 8-10mg dose will scarcely require half of a full inspired breath to consume, and as one falls back, simply dropping the foil from your grasp will not put you at risk of injury/burning as its efficiency at conducting heat means it will cool so much quicker than say a hot glass pipe. -
Good morning people. The term "Absolute Truth" is used in this sub-forum quite frequently. Here, I believe, is an interesting paper which offers some interesting grounds worthy of reflecting upon. Its worth reading it all the way through without getting too caught up or "bamboozled" by some of the terminology used. I hope it prompts some dispassionate discussions by the good folk who frequent this sub-forum. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6137697/

Roky Erickson of the 13th Floor Elevators said exactly the same thing shortly before changing his name by deed poll to "Blieb Alien", blieb being an anagram of bible. He also loved his psychedelics. Some would say perhaps a little too much...…. -
Mezanti- my comment re pilots was in reference to what is quoted here. I would also caution against calling the conduct of IDF forces "Nazism" not because what they are doing is more acceptable, but more because it is not accurate, and the word Nazism being loosely applied to all kinds of things we don't approve of (eg Grammar Nazi) is hyperbolic.

Does this include the Palestinians in refugee camps in the Lebanon? Ponder on that. Also, consider Benjamin Netanyahus "pedigree"; he is the son of Benzion Netanyahu who was the personal secretary of a chap called Ze'ev Jabotinsky, an ideologue behind Revisionist Zionism who put together an outfit which supported Britain in WW1 against the Turks including at Gallipoli before later being instrumental in setting up Irgun, the terrorist group who later fought against the British including partly orchestrating the King David Hotel bombing. If you think that Benjamin Netanyahu has fully 100% rejected all notions of the strands of thought his heritage represents then I reckon you are viewing matters through rose-tinted spectacles. Also note parallels which are more current- Bin Laden, his adherence to a "revisionist" (Takfiri) Islam and support for the "good guys" (USA) against Russia in Afghanistan before ultimately coming to "fight/terrorize" the US. He finds justification through a particular interpretation of Quranic verses and Prophetic traditions, in the same way that parts of Deuteronomy can be interpreted to justify murder of innocents. Also, pilots tend to not see the damage they cause up close when dropping bombs, so its easier for them to delude themselves about their humanity and compassion.

The "enemies" of most powdered substances when it comes to storage ,to varying degrees depending on the compound, are exposure to heat, light and moisture. This therefore is also a function of surface area. My approach for ultra-longterm storage is to invest in a hand-held pill press and make tablets of the powder, wrap them in aluminium foil twice and then in clingfilm (sarin-wrap for our US colleagues), place them in a ziplock bag with a sachet of dessicant and keep them in the freezer in a glass jar. It might be a little over-the-top but I can safely say the viability can then be measured in multiple years.

The movement was established in the 1880s; look up Theodor Herzl. It was codified as a realisable notion by the Balfour Declaration in 1917 for political reasons in order to swerve US public opinion to enter WW1 and within a year they had allowed the Allied Powers to win. For those forum members who truly embody critical and independent thinking (ie can look at evidence and make up their own minds) I would recommend reading: "The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine" by IIan Pappe; "Conquest Through Immigration" by George Robnett: "The Controversy of Zion" by Douglas Reed. Ben Gurion appears as less of a beacon of light once the knowledge in these works has been considered.

Kambo is an interesting one. I think there is some cultural mythologizing about it with the initial unpleasantness being explained as a purification process (similar to purging on ayahuasca- something which I believe to be an un-necessary feature which can be largely abolished by using a concentrated B Caapi extract and freebase DMT in a little fruit juice) followed by its "healing" effects a little later. These healing effects are mediated by 2 proteins in the main, dermorphin and deltorphin which are potent ligands at the opioid receptors mu and delta respectively.Mu receptor agonists include morphine, heroin and fentanyl. No wonder the effects feel healing. Peace, presence of mind, stamina and focus. For those who have tried kambo but not conventional opiates, now you are beginning to know. -

Without going all Woo and New-Age, I think the metaphor that psychedelics may be regarded as "allies" as per Don Juan/Carlos Castenada is a pragmatic way of regarding them. Having been round the block with them I use them for a variety of purposes as the vicissitudes of life demands. For example, if I need to expand a sense of gratitude and connection I would use LSD/1p LSD and this equates to 2 or 3 times a year; if I wish for radical self-honesty to evaluate current issues I would use psilocybin with a dissociative, and this may be once a year. Should I wish for something more recreational a small dose of MDMA with psilocybin works admirably.Ending the session with any of the above 3 with vaporised DMT is always instructive.Ayahuasca is to my mind pretty much akin to psilocybin unless one goes very heavy on the harmalas, and is great for shorter excursions (as is psilocybin alone) As life varies yearly, and ones sincerity in expending effort to integrate the lessons imparted also varies, thereby the frequency of use is affected. A ball-park figure of 6-8 times a year seems to be consistently the frequency for me. I also think that the best tools for depth, insights and ameliorating ones defects of conduct are undoubtedly the dissociatives, on their own or better still with other agents added to the mix. 5 Meo DMT is something I am relatively new to, and I imagine (with reference to prior experience) that this agent could be very catalytic in some ways, but the depth of dissociatives along with the lesser emotional sharpness they offer makes them the most useful if used with the appropriate respect and frequency. It is not without reason that DM Turner and John C Lilly rated this class of compound so highly. -

For the sake of harm reduction I would like to state that one should have a firm idea of the strength of 1 tab before considering taking more than one.Unlikely though it may be, let us assume the tabs are exceptionally well dosed, say 150mcg; without being aware of this fact the consumption of 3 together would be a very heavy dose, and one I would need to consciously prepare myself for. Even 1 tab at 150mcg is no walk in the park. People, know your substances and dosages; unless you have been through the torment of dosing much higher than you planned for, you cannot imagine how such an experience could really damage ones psyche, not to mention the real risk of more worldly adverse effects, like hospitalisation due to a freak-out, and in some instances legal troubles. -

^^ I hear you Leo, and agree the Absolute Truth is Absolute because it is a term which denotes what is Absolute linguistically.Nothing more nor less. As a fallible human I accept I will never fully encompass this in a way which affords me some utility from the notion in its fullest sense; partial glimpses are all that are accessible. So, therefore, what is the use...… to bastardize the thinking of Wittgenstein? Again, we are limited by language which renders discussions in the modality restricted. As a keen psychedelic explorer I would strongly recommend trying a dissociative with a tryptamine (vaporised DMT works well here) to get a perspective on how Absolute Truth is other than what your underlying loving awareness apprehends it to be. -

The premise of this thread is interesting. I, for one, have assessed Leo to be clearly a bright and talented individual with a ready grasp of strong communication skills and a clear readiness to venture deeply into uncertain territories, and he does display some characteristics of the polymath with his broad knowledge. Very very few people will be so well versed in so wide an area of knowledge, and his confidence in his own interpretations along with his stellar delivery can make it beguiling for viewers, and the concept of questioning what is heard which stems from a ready acceptance of ones own inferior knowledge can often be absent. I don't claim to have such a broad knowledge but in my own field, and in the use of psychedelics, I would claim proficiency. In one of Leos vids pertaining to the stigma of psychedelics it glibly trots off his tongue that psilohuasca is "ten to twenty" times stronger than mushrooms without added RIMAs. For most people this would register as probably "Wow- that's some amplification" without question , probably due to no experience with this preparation. As someone who is familiar with this, I can without hesitation state that this is a clear exaggeration and inaccurate. But this is only because of my knowledge and experiences. I would be poorly placed to say dissect his presentation on quantum mechanics or Goedels Incompleteness Theroem but undoubtedly there will be viewers who are, and can recognise aspects of Leos utterances which ae perhaps less than robust. Our man Leo is on a journey, and he is generous in allowing us a ringside seat to witness how he progresses. Without intending to offend him, or anyone else I would simply state that truth and its establishment requires more than experiential considerations, and fixed notions can hem one into a Paradigm Lock (as Leo would rightly state) , and change is an incontrovertible part of the process that is occurring.
