Pertaining to Awakening or Enlightenment this all sounds completely normal. sounds like you're still getting a bit caught up in concepts/thinking but maybe not staying caught up very long ? Nihilism or nothing matters does not sit well with the ego or sense of self because it gives it nothing to strive toward or grasp ahold of. There's no telling how long some of these emotions will play out as they become the new norm. Just know it's very common and completely normal ❤

Yes, when the inner resistance to circumstance is dropped and no longer a personal interlog being created, it's easier to make better decisions for the whole as opposed to a self centered agenda.

The Transcendence is the dropping of resistance to each and every current situation. Sort of like having your preferences be whatever arises.

I get what you're saying. ❤ After clearly seeing through the sense of self, there was what could be described as a melting or dissolving back into the everything. It seemed like if I'm not this limited self structure I thought I was, I must be everything. But later this was recognized just to be another attempt/ last ditch effort of the mind to identify as something to provide itself stability. It is now recognized there's no answer to this empty phenomenon.... it's simply 0.

Awakening is the recognition there was never a YOU asleep in which could wake up. That's why the best word to describe it is illusion. When Awakening occurs the YOU is recognized to have never been real. Hence the phrase nobody wakes up. Hence the phrase nobody becomes enlightened. Hence the phrase separation is an illusion. Hence the phrase all is one. Can't have real separation when it's recognized there was never a YOU or OTHER in the first place in which could be separate. ❤

Pertaining to Awakening All that's being pointed to is on one end of the spectrum is full-scale identification with the socially conditioned thinking mind.(Asleep) And on the other end is the disidentification with the socially conditioned thinking mind.(Awake) The Spectrum isn't real it's just a concept to point with. ☝ ❤

Eckhart Tolle's The Power of Now is good for first starting out. ❤ How are you enjoying Peter Ralston's book? I have read it also... definitely not so much a beginners book ? but then again everyone's a little different

There isn't anyone pondering... as in the ponderer is just a thought identified with as your thought. When it's recognized there already isn't a you now, the idea of some aspect of yourself continuing on after death becomes non applicable. This liberating recognition takes the steam out of the sail sort of speak in terms of trying to know an answer to THIS!!

There's not really a choice in the matter...the seeking either continues spiritually or materially. The trick is seeing for yourself there's nothing to find, no one to find it and that wholeness is already the case. But that requires first hand witnessing ? ❤

The conditioned thoughts are what seem to alter everything. And identification as my thoughts create the dream story. They place an overlay over top of THIS and judge everything from this self-centered conditioned experience.
