  1. @Vibroverse I understand what you mean! The first half of the post was mine and the second half I found on a little zen website about good & bad...... it just really resonated so I decided to share it! ♥
  2. Its often referred to as spiritual ego or super ego, but yeah it's just spiritual materialism for the spiritual ego/sense of self.... it goes without saying that this kind of guru/god complex stuff happens all over the world and in all sects of spiritual/religious circles. Nothing right or wrong with any of it! Spiritual materialism ends up just being another attempt to try to aquire that which feels lacking or incomplete......BUT there isn't anything missing except the realization that nothing is missing! "There is only everything, so how could anything possibly be missing from everything!" The so-called transcendence doesn't occur for an individual(no one becomes enlightened), it's the clear revelation that there never was a real separate individual from the start. ♥
  3. Hi, Nobody ascends past anything or breaks free, that's the big misunderstanding! What can seem to happen is it's just recognized that the very character(me) attempting to ascend or break free, isn't actually real. This entire sense of self structure can seemingly feel like it's collapsing or realized to have never existed in the first place.....thats why its often referred to as an "illusion of self" or ego dissolution. ♥
  4. @Pharion What your describing is often referred to as ego backlash....yes totally normal! Just like a dog with bad habits you have to retrain. But remember it's not denying how you truly feel. It's about recognizing those inner resistance patterns that no longer serve you.... kind of like becoming your own psychologist. Start with something that causes a little bit of resistance and watch those conditioned reactions arise. Then start implementing in the more desirable reactions...... at first they will feel totally out of place...... which is also completely normal. Turn the whole thing into a game and make it fun! Everybody's conditioning is different so there's not really a one-way fits all method to this kind of thing. ♥
  5. I personally don't feel like all the different theories or beliefs are all that different. It's usually always about HOPE......trying to figure out a way to escape death. Seems that people have a very hard time accepting that their lives are just as important & expendable as the ant they just stepped on! It's kind of funny in a way because everyone that works their ass off creating the best life possible for them & their family and making lots of money, end up dying exactly like everyone else....and so does their benefiting family members and Friends! ♥
  6. Meditation and psychedelic drugs can also disrupt the habitual patterns of perceiving and over thinking...... essentially it can be noticed how much the mind is like a conditioned runaway hamster wheel, constantly judging, putting things in boxes and attempting to predict outcomes! It's actually funny when this starts becoming obvious. I would say that if it's recognized that meditation and psychedelic drugs have nothing to do with a real someone becoming liberated, then it didn't hurt anything! ♥
  7. there's nowhere to be guided to, this is already everything! ♥
  8. Yes, it seems like there is a real separate 'you' but that's the illusion/maya. ? What's happening is the body mind organism is just reverting back to its habitual patterns of conditioned behavior/thinking/identification, because that's what it's used to doing of course.... so naturally it feels like falling back off the spiritual wagon sort of speak! There isn't a real 'you' on the so-called spiritual path getting closer to enlightenment....thats the illusion of 'self' often referred to as the dream story. Enlightenment isn't about becoming a better or more spiritual version of yourself! It's the clear recognition that there simply never was a self in which could become or unbecome in the first place. It's the end of seeking due to the recognition that this desperate & endlessly needy seeker(me) was never real from the start! ♥
  9. Yep it's everything.....can't get outside of everything to point at it! ♥
  10. The "sense of I" can never truly be satisfied because it's the very experience of separation and lack. ? It can be recognized however that emotions just seem to come and go and that there isn't a real someone actually experiencing them! ? The very needy "sense of I" that values one emotion over others is a conditioned illusion. Enlightenment isn't a better emotional state of being for a someone......it's the end of states of being for no one! It's free-floating ♥
  11. I get what you mean... Yeah & what's usually difficult to understand with Tony's communication is that it's a hopeless communication, it's not offering anything and it's not a teaching either. Its pointing out that the very one that hopes and seeks and seeks and seeks is an illusion of self! It's the end of seeking due to the recognition that the seeker isn't a real entity within the body-mind organism. I have a feeling you might like Andreas Mueller ?
  12. All I'm saying bro is that seeking energy will constantly make you feel like you're on the cusp of discovering something groundbreaking, it will just keep seeking and jumping from one thing to another( spiritual jump rope) That energy never gets satisfied by seeking more either. There's absolutely nothing right or wrong with seeking knowledge or answers....it's just what seems to be happening! The illusory experience of being a separate individual naturally gives rise to the experience of lack or incompleteness, & so the seeking journey begins. Don't take my word for it though, notice it for yourself! ♥
  13. Nothingness is just a word describing the unknowable nature of reality...ie.... if you zoom in close enough on any particle there's simply nothing there..... it becomes ridiculous or unfathomable. Reality is not something to be gotten because it's not even a something..... it's off the scale unknowable sort of speak and yet the appearance is an explosion of light color and sound. It's something and it's simultaneously nothing = 0 ♥
  14. There isn’t a catch, it's just that enlightenment isn't an actual something to get or attain.... it's the end of placing an overly of meaning, purpose or value(dream story) over top of reality. It's not like a different perspective to experience reality from.....it's the end of perspectives altogether. Enlightenment is the freedom from all that but for no one. ♥
  15. What can happen is you learn how to love yourself and when focusing on yourself gets mundane it spills over to everything! ♥
  16. There isn't a real incarnation(you/me) now in which could have been/could be reincarnated. Awakening reveals this sense of separation is an illusion;misidentification; misunderstanding! The surprise ends up being, there isn't a 'false self' and there isn't 'a real self' either, its the same illusion....... there just isn't anyone altogether, which can be a terrifying realization to a tightly wound 'sense of self'. Enlightenment is the end of the experience of being a separate localized individual. It's the end of the illusory seeker running the rat race sort of speak! And it's fairly rare from what I've seen! ♥
  17. @BipolarGrowth Cool video bro! "between nothing and everything is" ? - VA ♥
  18. Staying at the Roadway Inn or staying at Four Seasons! ♥
  19. It's just another word describing enlightenment like liberation, nirvana, samadhi and such!, ♥
  20. I would imagine Insanity to feel heavy and burdensome. Where as enlightenment feels light and frothy like a vanilla cappuccino free floating! ♥
  21. Yeah the body will still experience physical pain and avoid it.....there just isn't a you inside of it doing that or experiencing anything.....it's an illusion of self! ? ♥
  22. Oh it's much weirder than that. There isn't even a you in which could escape it! Nothing is actually happening even though it appears to be. It can't get any more absurd! ♥
  23. Well the individual that thinks it's currently alive and will eventually die and thinks that finding answers to these questions will somehow be advantageous to it..... is an illusion of self meaning it's not real. So in that sense nothing matters in any way at all and that's the freedom Enlightenment reveals. It can also seem stupid ridiculous a waste or whatever... ♥
