At the end he says peace and happiness is another name for consciousness. That's interesting because I would consider myself peaceful and happy and don't even believe in consciousness at least in the way he attempts to portray it. I truly think he means well, a great guy but sometimes I get the feeling he talks in circles for a long time about very basic topics and is aware that time on the camera earns the bucks $ from YouTube and gets more people to go to his meetings... I also have the sense that guy that asked the question was probably more confused after Rupert was done explaining what it was he was attempting to explain. I think Rupert had some sort of Awakening but then completely filled his apparent experience with lots of conceptual dogma. I'm not trying to talk crap ❤ really not just how I see it. Here is an interview from Jim Newman who I've been listening to for a while. I love how direct and to-the-point he is.

In fact I'm not sure there would even be casinos and gambling without the invention of alcohol... nothing makes you more spiritual and realize the unimportance of money than dropping a grand down on the craps table after a strong glass of whiskey and losing it all in one bet lol. The identification as the thinker of the thoughts causes suffering. When the mechanisms that create suffering are understood it allows energy to be placed where it needs to be placed instead of all over the place....it gives aim. Awareness alone is Curative ❤

I'm actually still in... I do heavy equipment construction for the US Navy. 19 months 16 days until I retire... not counting or anything lol ❤ Not sure what quoting scripture means I think you're referring to parroting maybe, but the thing is when you get down to the brass tacks of everything there aren't any individuals so it's just apparent meaningless information or pointers. After what I'm describing has clearly been seen through there's not a glass left that could be emptied. There isn't even one now it just seems that way. ?

I was a diehard seeker for about a year before having a samadhi style Awakening (a lot of quick stilling of the Whirlwind of mind) a year-and-a-half ago while I was deployed to Okinawa Japan, I was meditating in the morning and evenings and during the day in the bathroom stall lol stinky at times. I was listening to a lot of Leo's 2016 through 2018 videos, most of the Spiral Dynamics and Collective ego videos to name a few. Anyways at some point I recognized the 'self' identity was a misidentification with feelings thoughts perceptions labels beliefs and stored energy in the body. It was recognized my mind had been causing all the suffering taking place in my life(identification with thought) I had also heard Adyashanti speak about Enlightenment was not a gaining, it's a complete Falling/stripping away process. To make a long story short basically let go of everything that I considered my reality... and started embracing Unknowing!! I would say it's been an ongoing gradual Awakening process for around the last 3 years in total. ❤ It might seem like something here cares so much but when this is clearly seen through it's not difficult discussing what was clearly recognized. I was a truth Seeker so sure sometimes a little bit of that conditioning comes back when I hear people talking from complete ignorance or hearsay... one of the first things I learned on this path was you have to fully empty your glass. Hence one of my favorite quotes: "the greatest obstacle to Discovery is not ignorance, it's the illusion of knowledge". I don't have an agenda here so if they kicked me off the Forum tomorrow, I would just adjust. There isn't a deep-seated belief held, that I need to help awaken as many people as possible or anything like that. Whatever is happening is happening... it is what it is. ❤

There was a die-hard Seeker here dedicated to finding the truth at all costs.... Then one day there was a recognition that the one seeking wasn't real and the self illusion collapsed and it was simultaneously recognized it never actually existed.

There can be the experience of mystical nonsense..... it doesn't necessarily mean that's what's actually happening.... just what seems to be experienced. A master might be sitting in the corner watching and smiling.

You're asking me... 1) medication 2) recognition there is nothing that needed to be found 3) your drunk 4) you think you are right 4) all of the above and or mixed

An illusion or misidentification does not equal anything because it was 0 all along. And everything you described is happening within everything my dear....it's all one ❤ This is why the yin-yang appears as opposites in one Circle.... pointing to non-duality. ?

Well it would be recognized there's nothing needed externally because nothing was ever actually missing. Only the illusion of the separate self felt like something needed to be found

Non-duality cannot be understood until the illusion of self is seen through.... the veil gets lifted and then it's recognized. You still believe no one is someone ❤

This transcends right or wrong it's just whether it's recognized or not....in most cases not....❤ Which is also perfect whole and complete! For No One!
