This is why I didn't try and talk him out of it. It is his choice (free will) and his post history points to not necessarily being a choice made out of psychosis etc. Everyone has a path and for some people that path ends earlier than others.

Some things have come up I can actually see a timeline now, behaviours that occured as a result of initial trauma some 15-16 years ago are currently in my awareness (such as flinching when around people), before that was about 5 years of trauma and before that were all happy memories so hopefully...not long to go now. I wish the RASA people made people aware of how hard / fraught the post RASA 1k path is. Ramaji in his book states that it might take up to 5 years, but he does not state how painful it is. -
Yes you are supposed to go into the SUN but instead people have been going into the MOON which is supposedly an artifical construct. And how many people know to repeat OM? This site claims it is defunkt after 2017. https://www.disclosurenews.it/en/soul-trap-the-matrix-of-the-false-light/

I'm not so sure everything is consciousness anymore. Consciousness seems like a concept created by the mind to reinforce the right hand path. -

People are really invest in "Jesus" or "The 4th dimension" or "The new earth" at the moment coming to save them. It's somewhat stupid to rely on something external to you to "save you" not only that but...what makes these people so sure that they are "worth saving"? -

What is a life with no desires? What is a life? What is? Sitting in the moment is doing exactly that. -
On a serious note the thought of suicide rises sometimes on downcycles for me. For me it is the great equaliser because you cannot go lower than suicide. I take a minute or an hour to just be, in the suicidal mood, and mind tends to GTFO and the end of the downcycle arrives IN THE MOMENT and changes to an upcycle. Spirituality for me and many I have spoken to is about cycles of up down up down up down it is NOT constant like all these teachers make it out to be. Without going down you cannot go up higher. Thankfully the cycles have slowed down lately but they still happen. It's life!

I feel that nihilism is a place that people land in on the way to enlightenment. The mind is losing the battle so it "gives in" slightly with the delusion of "nothing is / everything is" and the illusion of enlightenment but from the mind. That's what I feel like nihilism is. I was nihilistic for some time, but fortunatly saw it for what I felt it was. Many people unfortunatly fall for the trap and crystalize there. It's not enlightenment. -

If what you see in a mirror is what you are... ... put that mirror on the moon and look at it through the telescope and what do you see? -
Suicide or mahasamadhi? if you do decide to go, don't go into the white light. It's false. Stay in the void, don't go down the tunnel... https://www.trickedbythelight.com/tbtl/light.shtml

They grow (literally in my garden) where I live from August to November and I have put off doing psychedelics but think it is time. They are supposedly a lot stronger than cubensis. I am thinking ~3.5g in the dark would be a good first time trip? Going to rent a cabin in the Welsh wilderness. Just wondered if anyone has done liberties specifically and how your trip went?

Keto is amazing for meditation if you can adapt to ketogenesis fast. Your brain will run on ketones instead of glucose, so no spikes just a steady supply. -
So last night I intuitively and experientally reached what felt like the "gateless gate" the grand ego death point, during meditation, but I could not pass due to extreme anxiety. I have not used psychedelics, not sure if I require them, so I have no experience with "traumatic" ego deaths. I have had partial ones before but not the big one. It felt like "the final one". Any tips on the anxiety? I tried telling myself to surrender but the mind just wouldn't. I fast a lot, have cold showers and sometimes ice baths, and practice Stoicism, to retain power over the mind, but in this case it definetly won!

I don't find that chop wood quote to be accurate either. Before chop wood carry water, whine about it and suffer. After, chop wood, carry water. No suffering, no attatchment, no whining... surely? -
If you live in a country where if you PURCHASE land and still have to pay property taxes for it, you are NOT free!

I have had a few of them whilst going through the jhanas as well as "cosmic consciousness" or whatever label they call them, where everything merges, over the years, the one the other night was epic and too much to handle right now. -

But that's the issue. It doesn't appear in awareness therefore I can't understand it. -

I have never understood how people can lecture others about what happens after you die, for example, in regards to reincarnation, when they haven't died and reincarnated. Given that you lose your memory if that indeed happens. All my path ive been told by "superior" people that X happens, and they refer you to teachings, but even these teachings don't seem to have any actual proof either. A guy called Dan Ingram speaks "factually" that it is impossible for someone to reach Buddhahood and stay alive for longer than 6 days. Where does he get this information from? And why did the Buddha last longer than 6 days at Buddhahood level? The other thing that has never made sense to me is how you can "dissolve into Consciousness" when you die, then shortly after you "reincarnate" but sometimes with your old memories of "you" in previous lifetimes. Well how is it "you" if you got dissolved into Consciousness? You can't dissolve penicillin into water then go and pick out penicillin with your left fingers and pick out water without penicillin in it in your right fingers...it's dissolved!! -

So I spent the last day trying to figure out if I actually suffer in day to day life, without trying to BS myself. I have come to the conclusion that, I simply don't know. LIke I would like X car but whereas before I wouldn't have X car and it would make me depressed and I would have thoughts like "You're such a loser 'cos that guy has one and you don't" but now it's like "shrug" and I forget about it; no attachment is created to even be depressed about. And the mind moves on to the next desire and the same thing happens. Having said that my grand dad is in hospital slowly dying at the moment and due to die any time so it will be interesting to see how grief (suffering) affects me. At the moment whereas everyone else in the family is sad over it I am surprisingly impartial about it. -

I don't think it's horrific, I welcome it actually, but there ego part of me obviously wants to stay as it is, hence giving me these symptoms. I understand I need to surrender I just wondered if there's any tips on doing just that? -

Personally I find Maslow's Herairchy to be flawed as you don't require love/belonging or esteem to secure the bottom two or the top two. Also Self Transcedence shouldn't mean sense of meaning, it should mean sense of knowing what you are, / nonduality at the very least. Again it is flawed because it only represents the illusionary "I" world. -
Why would you get yourself into hundreds of thousands of dollars of debt to study something available in books, or on the internet for free??????? Furthermore something that won't get you a job afterwards that's going to balance having hundreds of thousands of dollars of debt? I tell you one of the most fleeting feelings in this duality world is HAVING NO DEBT. I have £0 debt. I am, other than taxes, FREE. As free as free is in the West anyway. Please don't put yourself in a world of hurt by getting a useless degree for a lot of debt.

It's a copywriting strategy, you aren't actually meant to try and get the refund...most people won't hence the psychological attraction

I only ever used paid traffic. Free traffic is pointless to me as it is not targeted. If you have a product that only sells to 19 year old women who are into kayaking, but your free traffic consists of 5-80 year old men and women who are into everything you can think of, a super large portion of that traffic is completely worthless. You have to spend time and money creating a niche site or a niche Youtube channel or a Niche instagram just to get the right demographic interested in your content just to then filter out paying customers, it is all highely inefficient considering with FB Power Editor you can just target straight down who you want and lob $5 at it and start getting customers. You can actually do this straight to email collection now too. Not to mention all the paid Adsense results show up before the organic ones on Google so even if you spend $1m on organic SEO you aren't going to show up until P3 for generic keyword results. A great example of this is if you google for someones instagram name, their instagram profile shows up below sites like imgrum or w/e. Paid traffic can be amazing I have run affiliate campaigns with over 400% ROI as well as 100% ROI+ to my own products which were selling on a platform where sales rank would influence "organic" search results so it was a complete win/win before the internet marketers found out how to do it and gamed the system. BTW every 18+ year old girl with reasonable looks now claims to be an "influencer" it's becoming a sour thing to become especially when mixed with entitlement like this https://onemileatatime.com/hotel-influencer-controversy/

If meditation makes you suffer there is NO CHANCE you are ready for Kriya Yoga. It will bring up memories/problems/attachments/fears/anxieties out of your subconscious into your clear and present conscious awareness and you if basic meditation makes you suffer so badly, you won't be able to handle them. That's how psychosis happens, in the same way some people take LSD and cannot handle the experience or the after effects. I have done thousands of hours of meditation and I am still not sure I would be ready for something like bufo 5meo or ahayusaca. Hell I wasn't even ready for ego death last night naturally!
